Aww, darn. I just finished writing a tutorial on a brownie in a mug and I went to the tutorials to find some recipes and I found this...

I make these using hot chocolate powder, you guys call it coco i think, but ive also made it before with betty crockers chocolate frosting and it was really good too! Its just what i had laying around the house. And a big scoop of ice cream on top to cool it down Very Happy

Tried it, but accidentally used self-rising flour rather than all-purpose flour... Facepalm It still tasted good though... Weird

Great idea using the Hot Chocolate mix to cut down on time and Im definitely going to have to try this soon, but I was wondering if maybe you have a brownie-in-a-mug recipe thats "from scratch". You know, without using mixes and whatnot. If you do and decide to post it up, I would be very greatful! Great article, very clear and consice.

This sounds fantastic - especially for college students without a kitchenette in the dorm. Kind of makes me wonder what else you can bake in a mug.

    Thanks for sharing with us!

Haha this is so weird, I just made this today. But I also made my own frosting for topping. Just a few tablespoons of cream cheese, some butter, a cup of powdered sugar, and a teaspoon of vanilla! You should try it, it tastes delicious on top!

I have just looked at this recipe on tumblr earlier today (does that make sense...do you guys know what I mean?) Clearly I meant to learn this recipe so I can recite it even if I get amnesia one day in the future. I have to say the recipe's are different, Ima have to try this one too.

I tried my own. I didn't have french vanilla or canola oil, but I still tried. It didn't come out as planned... yet it's still really good. O.O
