Kladdkaka

If there is one thing that I love about being swedish and our deserts, it is something called 'Kladdkaka'. It's the ultimate dream for chocolate lovers, that love the feeling of sweet, gooey chocolate filling a thin, hard outer crust of chocolate that combine these two textures into something so delicious and so addictive.

It's a simple desert that doesn't take more than an hour to make and is usually served with whip cream and/or berries at the side.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 2,5 dl sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cacao
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla (sugar)
  • 100 gram butter
  • 1 dl flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C (350 degrees F )
  2. Melt the butter in a skillet.
  3. Whip the eggs and sugar till it gets porous.
  4. Mix the rest of the ingredients together but mix carefully otherwise the 'kladdkaka' will get airy and dry, which is the complete opposite of what we want.
  5. Pour the batter into a breaded form.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, depending on how gooey you want it.
  7. Let it cool and then serve it with a click of whip cream and raspberries on the side, and enjoy!

Useful Notes: If you don't have crumbled bread of the sorts, it is fine if you just use butter on the form instead. Just as long as it has butter or bread, then the batter won't stick to the form.

Also as for the form, the best one to use would be a non-stick spring form cake tin.
