i like some of their work. its a stupid reason to break up. they are being petty. they are sick of themselves and so are their fans. if their fans were sick of them their fans wouldn't buy there albums.
I don't much care for them, but it's really stupid that they're going to break up. Look at all of the other band out there that are over 33 and still successful.
That's kinda like me saying that since as of now I don't think people over 60 should have sex so when I turn 60 I'm just going to stop... that's silly.
As if they would, I only just watched and heard interviews and things with these in them, and they were in the context that a lot of rumors spread about the band breaking up.
The media can't find anything else to get at these brilliant men, and so they try to make things up like them breaking up.
Coldplay is good band...I wouldn't say I am an official fan but their songs are very well done and not overated.
But still.....you are not a true artist if you think age truly matters when it comes to still doing your art.I can understand being old and tired...But past 33 is still out kicking it being young, I think.Look at the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney for God's sake! They still rock. They'll be back.My Dad says that their making a christmas album right now.
Aw, that stinks. I love those guys. To see a great band break up for whatever reason saddens me.
Well, I wish them the best of luck for whatever they're going to do after the breakup.
That's the DUMBEST reason to break up. Getting old is no good reason. Being in a band isn't about looks, it's about the music you make and love for it. The way they look shouldn't even have a say in it. It's completely dumb. I'm not a big fan of this band, but I do love two of their songs. They should double think about that
That is the most superficial thing I have ever heard. You're not in a band to look good, you're in a band because you enjoy making music and gaining a fandom. Why should that stop at the age of 33? There's PLENTY of legendary bands that made it past their 30s, 40s and more.
Bon Jovi? Aerosmith? ACDC even.
I was never a fan of Coldplay, I still support my choice.
I'm not a big fan of Coldplay, but I think that a band breaking up because they're "too old" is a bit ridiculous. They're in their early thirties, it's not like their 70 or anything. Bands like Metallica are still around and they're well past 31.
