*Reads comments* Oh, you silly silly people the world is not black and white. There are more stores then just A&F or Hott Topic to shop at. Those are just extremes my dears. One can be just as individual shopping at A&F as they are shopping at Hott Topic. It's not the clothes you wear but the way you act that makes you unique. SO that being said I am sad A&F is going under. They smell good and have pretty clothes Sometimes* . I think they're problem is they have the wrong idea about "cool" now a days. People aren't buying into the "oh look at me pout and glare at you from across the room, I am the coolest kid at the party" persona any more. Oh that is so last season Abercrombie Tehehe. Nope we can go to the next store over. Their clothes last longer, cost less, and we can take all the time we need picking them out while not feeling like a total dork doing so. ;D, And about the "Beauty policy": most of their shoppers probably couldn't care less what the girl at the cash register looks like. That's just how cool we teens are now a days.

Relating to the article, it's absolutely terrible--regardless of what store it occurs in--that such a policy would even be necessary. Sure, it's one thing to require people to present an acceptable appearance for the business, but if you actually look up Abercrombie's Beauty Policy, the regulations are really quite eccentric and ridiculous. Really, I don’t think that most of the young people who frequent Abercrombie would even actually care about anything on their Beauty Policy.
Now, you could’ve expected that pretty much ninety percent of the people who commented on this article would mention something about specifically Hot Topic. And, honestly, I think it’s really funny that these people complain about how expensive Abercrombie/Hollister/American Eagle/etc., while Hot Topic is just as expensive. Both stores are always playing music obnoxiously loud, as well. It’s really hypocritical.
Personally, I don’t like either store all too much.

I actually like the store. I was there a few days ago and got a bathing suit and shirt but the prices were ridiculouse but still, I got stuff.
If they dropped the prices some then I think it could get better.
Okay, I think if they stopped spraying so much perfume stuff then maybe more people would go in there. Lol. It's like....incredibly strong!

some lady ran out of Hollister with her kid, looked at us, freaked out, and yelled at her kid to go in the opposite direction...we looked at each other and said, "What the hell?"

Sheautiful, maybe it's just the location. Because at the HT in my area, I nor anyone I've seen hasn't not been greeted. They usally have someone right up front to do that. Personally, I think that HT and Abercrombie/Fitch are just labels on clothes. As long as you like what you're wearing and it's something that expresses yourself, I don't see why it matters where they come from.
Some of that stuff seems really extreme. Telling the workers that they just have to look cool? Do you have a source, or is that just rumors?

Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, and American Eagle, are are along the same line. Hollister and Ambercrombie and Fitch are practially the same. The store is drenched with perfume, good smelling or not, and the clothing is way over priced, and they attract everyone, not just young girls or males, with models. I personally think American Eagle, is just a toned down verison of the stores. It's cheaper, not drenched in perfume, adn the models cover up more. Anyone can have their opinions on the stores, I could care less, but anys tore thats is rasict to their employees, isnt a good store. End of discussion. Rasicm and discrimination are horrible things. No one should have to suffer form it, and If abercrombie and Fitch discriminates, it's not a very good store. Clothing item's put aside. Thats my thought,

Hmm... I don't really care if the business goes out of business, whenever I walked into a store like theirs I always get either a stomachache or a headache probably because of the smell... I might not care if they close, but I do feel sorry for those who like the store and clothes

I think everyone should just wear what they want, not matter if they listen to Avenged Sevenfold or Jason Mraz.

I've worn A&F to a Fall Out Boy show, and I felt fine. I'm comfortable with what I wear, and that shouldn't matter to anyone else.

I absolutely HATE Abercrombie and Hollister. They smell awful, the music pisses me off and ALL of their clothes look the same! American Eagle is where its at.

It's because they have machines that leak out perfume in mass amounts to make the store "smell good". I get ill every time I go into that store.

Anyone ever notice that the smell in A&F is just... putrid?! I mean it's so strong, seriously.

Down with A&F! This is such good news for me. I love that they're getting all this trouble. I mean I feel bad for people who work there (kinda) because they might lose their jobs but ya, I don't like it. In fact, I hate it.

I've shopped at A&F and I've gone into Hot Topic with the intent of buying something, but turned out to be a big turnoff. A&F just seemed alot cleener and more in order- not as wild as HT. The clothes were simplistic. but still nice. This is also coming from the "emo" kid just to let you know. Don't hate on something just because Its different that what you wear, used to, etc. HT and HCO are also priced about the same, so there is little argument when it comes to the prices.

I'm glad that chick sued, that was wrong of A&F to do, and i sincerely hope she wins her case.

    And beauty requirements?
    That just pisses me off.
And as for Hot Topic, I don't really care for that store either. I used to, but then I realized it's just the 'goth' version of A&F and it's just as bad. I still go there occasionally for T-shirts (not so much anymore since they got rid of all the good band tee's) but I much perfer Kiss the Sky, Funk E. Breeze, and Spencer's.

    Haha!
That store is lame. I hope they have to close up.
I went in there once and found a hair in one of the lipstick samples, but since the guy working there was being an ass, I just left for some other possibly less kind customer to find.

Besides the workers usually sucking, the place wreaks, the music is crap, and the clothes are over priced. When a jacket costs $150 when it's on sale it's not worth your money.

I will admit I am very happy to hear that this girl is suing A&F because I don't see why a store should discriminate. Not to mention Abercrombie and Hollister (at least where I live) do the same exact thing. I can't walk in there without being given a strange look by the employees. I never buy anything because it is over priced and not my style. I just go in because my friends drag me inside.
