Abercrombie and Fitch > Hot Topic

I don't know about the other stores in other places, but the people who work at the Abercrombie and Fitch in the mall I live by are super nice, unlike the assholes who work at Hot Topic who won't give you the time of day when all you need to know is if they have a pair of shoes in a different size.

Too Hot Topic isn't the store that's closing.

Well, duh. Obviously expensive clothing stores are going down because of the economy, not just Abercrombie and Fitch.

Now if we can get rid of Hot Topic... Nah, I shouldn't speak, they aren't in Canada. And they have some good CDs... >.> Their clothing is terrible, though... Like, I found one shirt there once where the seams were not stitched properly at all. It's bad quality.

I work at a fabric store, and the sales have gone up he past year. I guess more people are making clothing because it's somewhat cheaper and better quality.

Hm, I haven't seen any Abercrombie or Fitch around here. xD Though all those stores are probably in the city... I only allow myself to go into thrift stores or just anywhere cheap. Although, I don't really go shopping that much.
I've never been to Hot Topic and I probably never will. Ahaha. >.<

I'm not really into mall fashion (I prefer going to vintage second hand stores in Brooklyn and Greenwich Village) but I must admit Abercrombie clothing although expensive, is well made compared to anything sold at Hot Topic.
    For instance:
-I went through an Abercrombie phase in the 7th grade. I am now a senior in high school and those clothes still look brand new (and I wore them quite a bit)
-I bought a pair of tripp pants at hot topic for 50 ish dollars that were plaid skinny jeans...i put them in the wash ONCE and they faded from black to barely grey. And I wasn't able to return them!

So I would rather spend a little bit more money on clothing that will last rather than cheap crappy quality clothing that may be ten dollars less.

Anywho, I actually have an interview with Abercrombie on monday to work in stock room, which will be an easy job even if I don't shop there anymore. My sister will be quite happy since I get a 30% discount and she loves their clothing.

A couple days ago I needed flipflops..and I had a lot of money since I got a lot for my birthday. I thought: "Hey, Hollister sells stuff that is really expensive, Maybe there flipflops won't break like the ones I bought from CVS for 7 bucks". So I bought some Hollister flipflops. You could barley tell they were from there..But the minute I walked out of the store in them, they start sueaking, and they hurt! God. I hate Hollister! I hate A&F too.. Glad theres no A&F at the mall =p

Hot Topic is so much better. :)

I love mallcore kids who think they're individual when they shop at Pacsun or Hottopic when in actuality 60% of people would rather shop there than at stores like Abercrombie or Hollister. So, truth be told, Abercrombie--though still popular--is now the minority and the idea of preps ruling the school has only been left to badly written stories.
This may seem harsh, but it's the truth.
Sucks for Abercrombie, though I don't like them their clothes last long I heard; and good for that woman.
Hottopic is cool, but they produce sheep.

FINALLY! if only it would happen everywhere though. Almost everyone in my town is consumed by this store! The stench of their perfume is horrible.. especially since there are two in our mall. D:

Haha, yess! Fifty dollar teeshirts, all the same, with one word, aren't worth anything. Hollister is the same. Try individuality, my dears.
I'm glad that girl sued, she deserves every penny she gets. Obviously, they couldn't tell on first glance either, so they have no right to put her in the stockroom.

    MUAHAHAHAHYESSSSSFINALLY. :file:

Hope this doesn't mean there'll be an influx of posers who think they're emo now, though.

I like shopping in half-empty Hot Topics; makes it much easier to find stuff.

But gah, this has truly brightened my day.

Oh, I agree with Miss Fit. I just hate Abercrombie, it's totally over-priced, the clothes are ALL the same (don't reject the fact, it's just colored t-shirts with Abercrombie written across it) and it's a terrible mood in those stores.

This brought a smile to my face, seriously.
My best friend likes A&F and she defends them when I put them down.
They shouldn't only hire people on looks, but on skills. That 20 year old girl has every right to sue.
    Plus, $50.00 T-shirt are JOKES.

It's about time! I went into that store with my friend once because she needed a pair of jeans and the employees there were such dicks. They didn't help out at all and they pretty much refused to stand within a 10 foot radius of us. We left FAST. She didn't even buy the jeans; they were like $80. She got a similar pair at another store for $30.
