I think Repo Man sounds like it will be good. You're absolutely bonkers if you think repo's plot was stolen. Have you not researched anything about the script or film industry, let alone the copyrights

They do have a very similiar plots. You get a surgery, you can't afford it, you get it reposeded. I'm not gonna' make a big deal out of it because it looks like it will be completely different (more action thriller while Repo! was a horror musical) but there are similiarities.

As Sardonic Grin said, the plots for both films are entirely different. Just because they've both got the word "repo" in the title doesn't automatically mean it's a "rip-off", ffs.

how can you say that Repo! was better when you haven't seen Repo Men? In my opinion that's really ignorant and prejudice to be comparing things when you haven't even seen both.

I'll admit, I saw Repo Men advertised in theaters, and booed as lloud as i could. They took something awesome and unique and are going to drive it into the ground.

The people who came up with the Repo concept, with the REPO MEN, were the ones who came up with the Genetic Opera. It'd be one thing if they got permission, but they didn't. And they stole the basic concept, even the titles of calling someone a Repo man and the time limit to pay your debt. Fuck them.

Oh boo you whore. Every damn movie you will ever watch is similar to another. Get the fuck over it. You don't have to watch the movie, no one is going to make you.

movies are bound to come out that are like each other, it's how the movie industry works. Repo! was an excellent movie, I bought it the day it came out. But I've heard that Repo Men is different in many ways from it.

Aren't the plots of both movies completely different? In Repo Men it's about a guy who was a Repo Man, getting into an accident and having to have an organ transplant and ironically he can't pay for his organ? I mean, I don't know the entire plot of the opera, but from the looks of it, it is completely different. and I am sure neither came up with the original idea of "OH REPO ORGANS LOL"

woah!let'sgo has not in fact said it all. Darren has given absolutely no permission to use that plot and he's not happy about it. It is a pathetic, mainstream action movie rip-off of a wonderful movie. I do not think it could even be considered a sequel either because it doesn't even have any of the characters or places. Hell, the company name is even different which seems to me like a pathetic attempt to cover their rear-ends from getting sued by changing GeneCo to whatever it's called.

I agree with [b]whoa!letsgo[/b]. I saw the preview for Repo, and I saw a clip of the opera-thingy. The movie is a hell of a lot less weird than the opera, and it will definitely appeal to a greater audience. Heck, it may even attract people to the opera version after. Not everyone likes singing in movies, guys.

The trailer for Repo Men was on Hulu.Com and my sister had me watch it. I was pissed off, lol. It was the exact same thing as Repo! The Genetic Opera just with different people and no singing. I personally love Repo! This is completely retarded to make the same movie, 2 years later.

Ugh. I'm totally not going to see Repo Men.
