This is why I hate religion...

Well, I don't believe the pope has anything to worry about when it comes to shortage of people. There are always teenage parents, who even think of aborting or adoption. So, heaven forbid that there are homosexual couples who adopt, and accept children into a loving environment because they cannot reproduce with each other.

Yeah, never mind to all those people in china and the fact that we're killing our planet beacsue more and more people are arriving to this earth and we need to make more room.

Never mind that when most homosexuals adopt they take in children who need a loving home. Yes homosexuals are destroying the human race!

I'd also just like to say to everyone who said that he has no right to say this or whatever and who says that it's ridiculous, how would you feel when someone mocked your religious beliefs and said you had no right to voice them?

I'm not saying he was right to say it, but he's got a right to voice his beliefs so just think before you say things like that.

It's not like this is surprising in any way, but it is a little ignorant.
The part about the extinction of the human race was particularly stupid. It's not as if everyone is going to become gay and stop reproducing all together.
Like I said though, it's not really surprising and I found the quote from the Gay Christian Movement about left-handedness particularly funny because the Catholic church used to think that left-handedness was Satanic.

Popes always say contraversial things, it doesn't reflect the opinions of all Catholics and all Catholics opinions don't reflect his. Just leave them alone.

Plus isn't there something in the bible about how god loves ALL his children despit anything they do??? Its a case of homosexuals are against religious teachings, but if you look.. Say in a school reunion, there will be more non-homosexuals than the other, so its a case of people not keeping their eyes/minds open to the basic facts.

I'm all for gay rights, despite the fact I'm straight. Everyone deserves to be with the one they love, whether its a guy or girl. And the whole religion versus gay rights? Hang it up religioun, you're not gonna win.
