Haley- I do have to agree most Christians these days haven't even read the bible they are only Christian cause their family is Christian and if their family wasn't then they wouldn't be following a religion. And since they haven't read the bible they only know what ever they are told by family and church which isn't always good or right. Wesbro church the prime example.

You don't need a symbol for atheism. If you don't like Christianity, then you don't. You don't need go go around showing your hate. That's stupid. Why don't people just walk around with shirts who say they hate gays with a symbol? (some ppl might) but those people are stupid. Plus the sign of the cross is for hope and love. Why would you want to wear something saying you don't believe in anything and death?

Also, arguing in this does not make me feel better, or like more of a christian. I think that goes for all of us.

Haley; I do not believe in God because I stopped believing after something terrible happened which most people probably won't believe so I'm not discussing it here (if you really need to know then PM me). I do somewhat...resent the concept that to not believe in Christianity or whatever is to not understand it. I understand the religion perfectly well, I just can't believe in it. It's fine if you do, I don't care what people believe if it gives them hope or strength but I can get the self-same feelings from other sources. Who knows.

I'll tell you this now, I can tell this is being fueled by some of the black metal musicians. Many black metal musicians are either atheist, Laveyan satanists (which is about individualism and self worship. In other words, taking care of yourself, being yourself, and taking care of the earth you live on) or Norse Paganism.

Many of them are anti christian because they strongly hate what they did to the Scandinavian countries. They Christianized them by force. It's their ancestry, they have viking blood in them, they have the need to stand up for what they believe in and they have the want to bring back their peoples way of life. That is the fuel for their hatred of Christianity. And this is what black metal is about. Not blatantly hating certain religions without knowing what they're about.
