OATH to every single one. I don;'t even give fanfics that have at least one of all of those things in that story a chance. That's why I try to think of interesting ideas that is different.

But one thing I don't mind is the real life partners as long they don't make them ridiculously bitchy or have that typical emo girl vs fake blond bitch thing.

I totally see where you are coming from. This, for me, goes for any fan fiction. I love making stories realistic, but hate reading ones that arent.

I agree with this completely. If I find a story where the female or male characters are emo or scene I go back and find another story. It's so annoying. I try to stray far away from these cliches but theres just so much that you can type about before you run out of ideas.

Agree very very very very much! Well, maybe not on the including real life partners as long they don't make the person a bitch or anything. If the person is good/neutral, then I'm fine with it. But I do agree on the rest of it all.

not everyone who uses real life partners in a fanfic makes them a bitch. i've used adrienne armstrong, alicia way, keltie colleen, ashlee simpson, sarah orzechowski, and a few others and most of the time they were good/neutral characters. the only time they were ever bad characters were the very few times it was necessary to plotline. and even then, sometimes they were only evil in the eyes of another character and were just doing bad things with justification/good intentions.

i write canon based fanfic (fanfic based on reality) so excluding real life facts is not a choice for me. not all fanfiction is a fantasy. some of us want to imagine reality and transcribe it.

A horrible, rushed ending! I should not walk away from reading your story going "okay, did you just want to quit this, or...?"

Oh my gosh yes! I was having his discussion with someone a few weeks ago. I try to make mine as original as possible. Though, tht does rule out almost EVERY fanfic in mibba. That's why I've branches out away from A7X because So many I then are so similar, especially with the emo girls with families that hate them.

Did you mention the constant abuse by either an ex or father? That's overdone as well.

That awkward moment when I realize I write some of that lol. Anyway, I can't stand fanfics that swear they're NC-17 yet they cut off the story when there is supposed to be smut. I can't stand fanfics that have dialogue like this:
