I'm definitely going to look into that because i've been collecting stories to read and look at and that story is one of them.

He sort of makes mythological creatures with the dolls but He actually kinda does make his own stuff. It's just that he uses premade dolls and changes them into something else entirely. :)

Now that you mention it, that does sound like it would be hard with the putty. Aha, at least you get to see your work slowly come to life. :)

That would be good. Oh oh, I recommend 'Hourglass'. Good story. I'm not sure if it'll all be put on here though. Hmm...

Can't. There's nothing for it to attack to unless I push it into the putty. And don't want to do that. When you make the skeleton wire, you're suppose to leave excess amount of it so you can stick it into something or use a vice on it. That part kind of escaped my attention at the time though...

Oooo, what kind of figures does your uncle work on? Oh, ignore that. Remakes dolls and ... stuff... Not sure what the stuff is, but that's cool about the dolls. Has he ever tried doing his own? I imagine if he remakes such items he would have the skills possibly?

Hopefully sometime this week. I'll probably write a blog sometime today asking for some story suggestions, and hopefully I won't get 1D stories because not that i don't like reading them, they're far too recognizable and i want to try and help writers of all the different genres and fandoms to get more recognition.

That sounds like a huge amount of work that requires a lot of patience. Have you tried using a little wooden stick to sort of help them stand to make things easier? My uncle, who remakes dolls and stuff for fun, takes wooden sticks or something from a craft store and glue to the middle of the figures he works on and he glues the bottom to a wooden base.

Oh cool. That's a nice way of helping others get noticed, isn't it? Very nice of you. When you thinking of starting that back up then?

Lol. Well that's basically what I'm trying to do, bar it being lord of the rings, and it's darn hard. I added a few more bits today. But I'm going slowly. I done the skeletons wrong because they don't have a stand. So now I have to keep waiting for it to dry before I can continue, and it takes like 24hrs to dry properly from what I've seen.

    Awww lol.

Yep, that's true. I mean the lack of feedback does kinda get a little frustrating but that's why the blogs and the pimping and reccing threads in the forums help out a lot more. Come to think of it, I still need to recc some stories in my blogs. I used to do this whole story support thing every week and I have yet to get it back up. XD

Actually, I've seen the LOTR miniatures. i actually own one or two i believe -- they're somewhere in my room, but yea, I know what you're talking about now. My bad. :P

Yep. I've had dial up for years so I'm pretty much used to it, despite how much I complain about it. XD

Lol, yeah, what you said made sense.
I think when you learn to properly read and then give valid feedback about someone's story, you learn a lot about doing stories of your own as well. Of course when you're looking at your own story, it helps to leave it for some time before you come back to edit.

Nope, you're completely off the mark, Hina Mr. Green Have you ever seen Lord of the Ring miniatures? Or... I think Dungeons and Dragons use to have little hero miniatures with it. I'm trying to make stuff like that basically.

Oh, I remember when we had dial up. Terrible and frustrating times lol. But hey, you've accepted it now lol.

I've felt cheated plenty of times, but I've never really let it get to me because I actually use the comment swap features to find new stories to read and to try and motivate myself into reading and commenting more things. I wonder if what I said makes sense? Think

I'm thinking you're making airplanes or something, correct? From what you said about skeletons, it makes me think you're doing but I could be wrong. XD

Oh and when I either go to the library or when my internet starts acting right, I'll accept your friend request. My internet's been acting like an ass about loading Mibba properly so I'm waiting for it to clear itself up before I attempt to do anything. XD I have dial up which makes things kinda bad during the bad weather.

    I can blame them lol
Whether you like it or not, you should return the effort that has gone into the commenting on your story. I've come across many I don't like, but I will read it all the same and comment properly, explaining what I thought was wrong with it, but also what I thought worked and just needed a little more to make it shine.

    Oh I see, I see

It's hard to blame them though, if they get a story and don't like it why would they comment? There's a new system being put in place I believe, but you'd need to ask a staff member, where if your story doesn't get a comment within a certain period of time then it'll get recycled and given to somebody new. If you want more comments you could host a comment swap in your blog.

As for breaking the rules it would be like when somebody commented on my story and it wasn't long enough, and they made it long enough by saying 'oh, my last comment wasn't long enough' and adding nothing else. You can read more here or message a member of staff.

Oh, I see... But those are pictures I've taken lol.

    @ little motorkitty;
Just going from bad to worse aye. All these owed comments. I think some don't realise when you're from comment swap, they should be swapping. I've made sure now that all my comments state that I would like one of my stories, designated below, to be read and given feedback on in return. I think maybe I should add a point of at least 100 words at the bare minimum. But as for vagueness, I suppose I can't do anything about that can I? Well, bar the reporting.

What classes as breaking the rules?

Mibba deletes pictures you upload that aren't of yourself.

I've posted a lot more comments than I've recieved, I'm still owed at least seven via the comment swap and I've posted well over thirty. A lot of mine have been really vague, one clearly hadn't even read the story and I've had a few break the rules. Just report them, it stops them doing it again.

Before I find the nearest Story Editor or Admin, may I enquire about your contest?
You said about uploading a picture to sites such as flickr etc... Can we not upload it on Mibba? Oh, and does Mibba delete photos? I've had two of mine disappear on me already. And I only had two to begin with lol

I can't really say. Most of the people I talk to are above 20, but I'm willing to bet there are a very large portion of the site that is below 16.

If you feel people are "cheating" the system by barely giving a comment, or giving a vague one and make it seem like they didn't read it, or you notice they post the same comment on other's stories, you can report them to a staff member and it'll be looked at. A Story Editor or Admin might be the most helpful to report to, but any staff member will do :)

That's terrible. It's a system that relies on the good and fair nature of those who take part. Clearly not all are of that nature.

    @ Bonkers.
Yeah, a lot have said it's buggy. But can't all be down to that, aye? Does Mibba have more below age 16 members than 16 and above members?

If only I had taken the baby steps from the start. Wouldn't have wasted the first bit of putty. Sounds cool. Is cool. Just difficult lol. If it works out, it will complete the cool cycle :P
