I understand what you mean and I agree, even though I happen to have Matt as the leader in my mob story too hehe. I guess all these things just comes naturally to people who write about A7X, I don't know ... Btw, I completely adore your blog layout

One of your questions is actually my biggest pet peeve...when people make a gang related story and call said gang Avenged Sevenfold. Grrr! It doesn't even make sense as a gang name! *Sigh*

I agree haha except one part, its neveeeer daughter in my case. It's ALWAYS son's dammit hahaha. but yes it gets tiring, they all sound the same and i admit ive done it myself but i try to use different material. :p

Exactly but I mean if any of us tried do something different, I feel somehow it wouldn't work. I don't know why but I think we're used to this kind of stuff, the same old same type of story, though I gotta say there was one story that didn't fit this mold.

Jimmy was a gang leader
Matt was the best friend
Brian was the asshole
Johnny was even more asshole
Abd Zack was just well there

It was the only out of mold fic I enjoyed.

But you're not kinda but totally right. I have fics that go like this in every single way, it's like we all follow a pat, cause we see it in other stories and we think maybe that's just how it goes.

It's really hard to break the mold haha

I've actually seen a few gang fics where Jimmy's the leader; but those stories don't tend to have him as the main focus though.

I think for the father ones, a lot of people tend to make the kids girls because they're girls themselves (that could account for the self insertion or just because it's relatable. That's just my assumption though.

I write A7X fics and I ask the same questions. I usually steer clear of those things.

lol really? I didn't know I was all that famous. Thank you though, I find that very flattering. I will agree that some A7X Fan Fictions follow the same plot line and can be somewhat predictable. I also think that a lot of people share the same love of the same story idea and they try to put their own take on it. The difference is...some authors pull off making their version original and unexpected.

I also think that it's kind of hard to think up a new original idea entirely because almost everything has been done. Sometimes though when I see a certain story with the same plot and the characters are always playing the same role...I just flip to something else. I try not to judge stories by their summary but if after the first chapter then author hasn't put for effort to add even a bit of originality...then I lose interest.

I mean there's nothing wrong with people who want to follow the same plot, I just personally prefer something that will shock me or that is somewhat different. I think we've all been a little guilty of adding some of the same details about the Avenged guys in our stories, though.

We're all a tight knit family and share a deep love for those guys. The stallion duck thing I think is a universal topic that makes us all immediately think of Jimmy. It's kind of like a tribute because anytime I read that in a story...I smile automatically and think of him and his bubbly personality. I think a lot of people don't want to make him sad or not happy in stories because it will depress them since he's passed on.

It would be hard for me to write a story with him as depressed or suicidal or something. These are just my opinions. It does get to me sometimes when almost all of those stories start to seem the same but then again...those roles and plots could be some girl's fantasy on here. For me personally....Matt being the strong and tough one is fucking sexy! That's because I like muscular men...who could be intimidating and rough. However...it would be nice to see one of the other members as the leader for once.

Sorry I talk too much! I just hope I didn't sound like a dick for my first comment lol. I was just kind of thinking along the lines of...I guess people think "Why not?"
