  • I was just reading up about Ed Gein and the Zodiac (in my mother's serial killer book).

Man. Ed Gein was pretty... intriguing? In a sick sort of way. Especially the part with the corset he made out of his mother's... bust.

And the Zodiac killer... I found that really interesting. The whole cryptograms and all.

  • Someone told me that serial killers or crime are very smart and I thought the statement was very hurtful in a way.

  • I really don't have any interest in serial killers, and to be honest if I knew the reason that they had to kill people, it would simply disgust me. So, I don't have much of an interest in learning about them.

    Hurtful how, exactly?

  • Honestly, I've never thought of serial killers as fucked up and disgusting. What they do to other people doesn't phase me. :shifty
Ted Bundy is a pretty interesting person. :XD
And Jeffrey Dahmer is just, wow. Apparently he was into cannibalism and necrophelia. He also tried making zombies by injecting hydrochloric acid into his victim's skulls.

Okay say someone murder your mom, and then your friend said well I think serial killers are geniuses. It just seems like a horrible statement.

It would be horrible to say that to someone whose mom got killed by a serial killer, and it'd be insensitive. But serial killers tend to be very smart and can easily come off as charming.

  • Serial killers fascinate me on their way of killing the people. As in, their plans on how to kill them. Which brings me to the saying, "Do not underestimate anyone". I don't even know if that's a saying. But of course, they scare me because they can kill anyone anytime.

I agree that that would be hurtful, because here some guy killed your mother and your friend is calling them smart, but I would still kind of agree with them.

Odds are, I wouldn't find out that a serial killer had murdered her until many years later. He would have eluded authorities and kept his actions going for a long time. Tell me that isn't smart in some sort of sense? I'm not saying they're the smartest and therefore best out of all humanity, just in what they decided to do.

Then again, they could be complete idiots. Depends on the situation....

The crime is horrible, nothing about the killer makes it any less, but how he did it could attest to some sort of intelligence he has...

  • Interesting okay :P I think it's a horrible thing but some are stupid and some killers do plan it out.

Yeah, he really did do it. I was reading about him. :tehe:
Police found body parts in his apartment too. :shifty

  • I have both disgust for them, and I find them interesting. I don't know...I think it's just a part of human nature; like a car crash you can't help but look at.

But, I think reading about them and actually talking to them would be two completely different things.

Didn't you sort of pick up on the sarcasm there?

But yeah, he did inject stuff in their skulls, wanted to make them living dolls for sexual pleasure. Intriguing to say at least Naughty

Sarcasm is hard to pick up on the internet, I hope you know. It's not like I can hear how you say things and realize, "oh, that's sarcasm."
