    Who is Jeffery Dahmer?
"Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994) was an American serial killer and sex offender. Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys – most of whom were of African or Asian descent – between 1978 and 1991, with the majority of the murders occurring between 1987 and 1991. His murders were particularly gruesome; involving rape, torture, dismemberment, necrophilia and cannibalism."
    -Wikipedia.

That's about the gist of it.

He was known as the "Milwaukee Cannibal," though he wasn't as much a practitioner of it as the name would suggest. And as others have been posting, he used to knock his victims unconscious, drill holes in their skulls, and pour in hydrochloric acid in an attempt to make them into his 'zombies.'

He was beaten to death with a barbell in 1991 by a fellow inmate at Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin. His murderer claimed that God had instructed him to kill Dahmer.

Didn't you sort of pick up on the sarcasm there?

But yeah, he did inject stuff in their skulls, wanted to make them living dolls for sexual pleasure. Intriguing to say at least Naughty
Sarcasm is hard to pick up on the internet, I hope you know. It's not like I can hear how you say things and realize, "oh, that's sarcasm."

    :file:
Funnily enough, there was no sarcasm intended. :|
    I really was interested. :XD

I recently was looking through a book about serial killers at Barnes & Noble and one quote that really made me kind of laugh yet be disturbed was this:

[after asked the question "What do you think when you see an attractive girl on the street?"] "Part of me thinks that I want to date her, talk to her. The other part of me thinks what her head would look like on a stick."

I can't remember his name, and I probably got some of that quote wrong. But that was kind of a odd quote.

    They fascinate me.
I read books about them and watch shows about them all the time.
Jeffrey Dahmer's story is probably one of my favorites to learn about, though.
I'm really interested in serial killers who create cults or are really religious because it's so contradictory and hypocritical that you have to wonder what they were thinking.

Jeffrey Dahmer is the first serial killer I got into researching, and I’m sort of obsessed with him (looking at my posts, I think that’s probably self explanatory :XD) But seriously, I know what he did was sick but it’s fascinating. I guess I feel sorry for him in a way, as well. I’ve read and watched nearly everything to do with him (and been scarred for life by some of the things I’ve seen in the process) and when he was younger, he had a horrible time of it. He was stuck with these thoughts of killing people and having sex with their dead bodies – I mean, if you were fifteen and you were thinking about that, would you be OK with it? He was so alone and he started drinking to forget these things, but they just consumed him from the inside out. He was just destroyed by it. And I don’t know if there’s anything scarier than that.

Not that I’m sticking up for him – he shouldn’t have dragged down seventeen innocent men with him, but I just try to see the person behind the killer. You can’t forget that they are people’s babies too.

    That was Edmund Kemper! Wow
(Kinda sick that I know that off the top of my head, right? :shifty)

No, I mean I wish I could remember their names.
I mean, the sick thing is the fact that he thought that.

Would anyone ever think of falling in love with a serial killer?
Love behind bars, it was an E! THS show and it said some people in prison have profiles on the internet and you can have a long distance relationship with them.

I remember they made a profile for the woman who had drowned her kids in her car in a lake and she got millions of mail come in because apparently, some people just want that woman who can give life and take it away. It just turns them on.

They fascinate me, but they upset me at the same time. I don't find them to be
disgusting, but that's not to say that I idolize them or anything either.

The reason why they fascinate me is because of my interest in psychology. The thing that gets me is the wish to know why they did it... what was their drive? What intrigued them to take that life?
Because, although we might not admit it, many of us think at one point or another; "I wish i could kill him/her/it" but the majority of us can't follow through with the statement. Our sense of right and wrong stops us.

But why don't serial killers have that conscious?
I sound like some murder case agent that you see on the Cold Case Files. lol

But seriously... it intrigues me, in a way.

    Both.
They are extremely interesting to learn about, especially about why they were so screwed up, but the murders are still sick & disgusting.

They fascinate me and terrify me at the same time.
That's why I like watching Criminal Minds I suppose. :cute:
But it's interesting to see what goes on in their heads, like why they want to kill, and stuff.

I'm fascinated by them. Completely. :shifty
Especially Hélène Jégado, Beverley Allitt, Ed Gein, and William Palmer. I just think it's so interesting how intelligent they must've been to get away with it to that point, but instead of driving that intelligence into something 'useful' they used it to kill people. How their minds worked and all that kind of thing. It's completely fascinating.

Some of them interest me but some just make me sick to my stomach. I kinda want to get inside their head sometimes.

If I found out that there was a serial killer in my neighborhood, I would cry and never leave my house.

It is both really. I am disgusted by the fact that they actually murder these people, but fascinated by what makes them do what they do.

The killers. People who love them are just weird... but i must say it's interesting learning about them but not to praise them.

The topic just freaks me out, and that's it. I have no desire to actively study serial killers. I'm very easily scared, you understand, so if I read the entire Wikipedia page on Jack the Ripper, I probably wouldn't be able to sleep for a week. I can sort of understand why someone would become fascinated with serial killers, though. I just don't share the fascination.
