I find serial killers interesting, because you have to wonder what would make them decide to murder people the way they do, over and over.

A funny thing I realized about serial killers and murderers in general.
They're still people, they're still human.
There is the possibility of a killer in each of us, and it's funny to me.
I don't know why, maybe it's because I learned to see them as humans still and not a "monster" sure they do acts that make them seem like a monster, but they are still human.

It's just amazing how life and humanity really deems what is "normal" in the sense of what we consider right and wrong. Serial killers usually lack empathy and regret for killing another living thing. I really wish I could describe what I felt about after reading up about them.

Just the fact that there could be a killer in us all is amazing.
And I realize I sound like a total nutcase.
    Oh well...

    Agreed.
One time or another, we think about hurting other people, maybe even murder at a low scale.
Wishing someone dead may even be considered.

You don't sound like a nutcase. That's an interesting point. I'm going to be thinking about that for the next 24 hours now...

Jeffrey Dahmer is the first serial killer I got interested in as well. As you can see, he has remained my obsession :file:

    They fascinate and sicken me.

I mean the things these people did, oh my god! But at the same time, what the hell is going through these peoples minds that mafde them do it? What were they thinking afterwards? What made them want to do this stuff in the first place? Are they afraid of it? You know...stuff like that.

I think if I got the chance...I'd want to meet one. They say serial killers are among the brightest minds in the world.

I find the tactics of the serial killer interesting yet disturbing. Like Jack the ripper, the way he planned the killing is good but his last victim, the scene is horrible. Sometimes I find myself in a situation that I really wanted to destory something. I'd already destroyed my mother's plants. I just hope the next victim in my anger won't be human. :cute: :tehe:

I am completely fascinated with serial killers.

About a year ago, in my criminal justice class we had a project on serial killers. We had to do a presentation on them and act out something that they did.

The psychology of serisal killers is far more interesting than regular psychology, to me. They are fascinating, yet at the same time disgusting.

They disgust me in the fact that they can't find something better to control their anger or occupy their time. :file:
I can understand why they'd want to kill. I hate this world as much as the next pessimist, but you don't see me strutting around killing people, do you?

Sorry for sounding like a normal person there.

I think they're fascinating and disturbing at the same time.
I love watching shows where they ask the killers why they did it and they give this completely random reason. It makes me smile.
I think that's why I love watching killers in action, like in movies or shows where an actor or re-enacted person is going to kill someone or assassinate someone.
It's fascinating that they have no remorse for what they do, and some continue living like nothing happened while others become obsessed with killing after their first.
Although, when it occurs in real life, I'm saddened by the loss of life, it's still highly entertaining though.

Yes but I think it's more of a psychological thing. I don't think it's always the case that someone wants to kill people purely out of anger. There's a mental factor there.

I've been through a Jack the Ripper phase, a Charles Manson phase, a Ted Bundy phase... and so on.

At the moment I'm really interested in Andrew Cunanan. I don't know why. Their lives just really interest me.

See... even though serial killers are bad, I love them. I love them. And It's a problem of mine. If i'm about to be killed by one, I wouldn't be as scared as I would be.. well... let's just put this emote here: ;;P
I even have a story started on here about a serial killer called Aim For The Heart My Bloody Valentine
So yeah, I have an unhealthy obsession with them. I wont be one, but I do need one for 1 special case... :file:

    And yay 100th post!

I always find myself thinking about how I myself could easily have been a serial Killer.
    Ooohhh.. Sinister.
That's why I sometimes terrify myself if I look into my eyes through the mirror for too long.
Does that happen to anybody else?
