Coldplay songs. I don't know why, but there's something about them that calms me down.

Damien rice is a very good artist, most of my night time playlist is made up of him... And the phantom of the opera soundtrack

Bon Jovi's album 'this left feels right' is also really calming and I've fallen asleep to it more than a billion times because it's like slower quieter versions of all my favorite songs by them.

Happy music puts me to sleep. Songs with acoustic guitar and soft singing.

Amethystium - the World of Warcraft music for the soul. It really helps me sleep, and I actually rest better when I listen to it, I wake up feeling better than I do without it.

I usually fall asleep to Death Cab For Cutie, Radiohead, the Postal Service, The Band, Yellowcard, The Hush Sound(fitting, right?), Wilco..... It's an extensive list. If you have trouble falling asleep because of lyrics, I suggest Vitamin String Quartet. They do orchestra covers of a lot of popular music.

I think soft instrumental music could help.
For me, if there's lyrics I seem to try and stay awake to hear them. x]

I used to only be able to get to sleep if I had something softer on, like HIM's slower songs. Nowadays I can fall asleep to pretty much anything.
