Remember When?

I miss when we used to be able to see comments for stories we'd commented on. There was a bunch of old stories I used to read - a few years old - and I'm wondering if they're still around

Remember when Duck Duck Goose was popular, before it got in trouble for spamming other threads, and people used to have to do the most obnoxious things?

I remember years ago when a user had to go into a random roleplay thread with a photo of Dorothy the Dinosaur and ask everyone to engage in ring around the rosie.


And Del had to sign off all her posts in the general forums with "Senor Big Pickle " or something like that for a day.

And all of the horribly embarrassing theme changes.

Oh my gosh, I'm seriously in tears remembering this stuff.

No but really though, it's still very odd sometimes to call it the "Blogs section" instead of the "Journals section."

I still tend to call it the journals section when I'm in general conversation with someone. Blogs is just too weird and foreign, even though it has been the blog section for a little while now.

Remember Mibba Radio?

Remember when everyone had 'Round Here' themes and there was a huge debate on which version was better?

Remember when the "Have Kids, Then We'll Talk" authors were their characters for a day?

Remember when everyone changed their icons to the Dujo Fairy?

Remember when chat?

Remember when the Roleplays didn't center around plots?

Like, it was just a bunch of people chatting with each other while in character?
My favorite one was the whole Bandom roleplay thread. I was Jag from A Skylit Drive and always chatted with mibbians who played Ryan Ross and Gabe Saporta.

I remember when (or I had the impression that) people came to mibba for the chat feature. When I joined, it seemed like the majority of people just wanted the chat. Oh, the irony

Top post was dedicated in the more talkative general threads (Mibba Famous, Person Above Me, etc.)
I miss that.

Dude, I still dedicate my tops. Well, at least I do in Mibba Famous and WAYT. I'm scared of it being considered spam in the others.

Dujo's custom layout front and center, and every time I'd visit his profile it would be 97% reports from users
and 3% thanking him for being the creator of Mibba. Ah. His profile always gave me the giggles.

Remember the Unofficial Mibba Awards? That thread always made me happy.

In fact, it made everyone happy.
