I really wish I could have been born into the gentry or aristocrats (like idk..maybe as the daughter of a Countess or a duchess) in the Renaissance during the 1500's and the early days of the court of Henry VIII, or perhaps in France, or during the War of the Roses. I also wish that I could have been born during the viking age in Norway so that I could be a shield maiden. Punk

Late 1980's (although racism against blacks was stronger) I'd rather take the racism and believe in equality then deal with the ignorant (black) youths of our decade. Maybe it would be the same amount, but I don't think it could be this bad.

^You'd still have to deal with them, regardless if you were in my generation or your own. It's part of being in a community, and unfortunately there are ignorant people everywhere.

    --------------------------------------------------------

As for me, I feel I was born in the right decade. The music I listen to was born around the same time I was, and It's hard to imagine life without technology the way I have it now. xD

^ I think the ignorance is worse with black people in America, though. Half of them don't even know or care to know how the fuck they even got here. And I'd sort of consider you still being a part of my generation because you're only 5 years older than me, use the same technology, and all of the above. I'd consider someone old enough to be my parent to be from a different generation. It would be like saying my brother is from a different generation although things in his time and my time are pretty similar.

^I'll take your word for that. I could argue that there are plenty of white people who don't care where they came from either, but they're coming from a different context. Their culture wasn't taken from them, they just don't care about it.

And we may or may not be, depending on who looks at it. 5 years is a large gap, though. I'd say we are, but only barely. I'd be looked at either as one of the eldest of your generation, or one of the youngest of the one to come before it. I was born in 1989, which was what I was pointing out in the generation thing, you considered the late 80's to be a different generation, or at least a different grouping of people, so I put myself into it.

I'd mostly like to live in the 17-1800s, perhaps 1900-1920s, although I'd like to live in any era where people had high morals and respect towards one another, which is not as common now.

Growing up in the 70's- 80's where the good old rock and roll was king would be awesome. :)

I feel like I should have been born during the Third Age of Middle Earth Shifty

But really, I do feel like I should have been born in an earlier century. Although it would surprise some people, I would have liked it back when decisions were made for me and all I had to do was run the home and pump out babies. I would rather be a stay-at-home Mom than be another working parent like my boyfriend wants me to be.

I should have been born 1967 that way I would have been 13 when the 80's started. All of my favorite music began in that time frame and my style, the way inapt and the way I dress, would have fit in better at that time.

I love being born in the 1990's but I wouldn't mind living in the late 1800's, the 1920's or 1940's in New York City. Things seemed so glamorous back then and I know people in that era were incredibly sexist but I love how ladylike the women were, and how the gentlemen often had such perfect manners. I also liked the fact that they cared a lot about their reputation, I think too little people care enough about their reputation nowadays. In Love

I would love to of been born in the1590's or anytime during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. She's by far my favourite queen, I think it might stem from my liking of Alice In Wonderland. I truly love the fashion of that time, well anytime when it was the long dresses and corsets. Though if I truly could live in anytime it would be Ancient Greek time.

For me, I'd say England in the Victorian Era, or somewhere in America from the 1920s to the 1950s. I quite like the idea of it.

I don't know the year(s) (because I'm just horrible with time like that) but I would want to live in England while Jack The Ripper was killing people.

I'm very glad I wasn't born in the 1800's or before. Even the early 1900's. I'm bored enough as it is living in this generation, and just couldn't imagine living in a world without technology and pretty simple transportation techniques, haha.

It'd be sweet if I had been a teen in the 1990's because I love that decade, though I'm sure if I had been I'd be wishing the same about the 80's, considering the sentimental value I now have from the 90's and my childhood I'd probably have for the 80's if I had been born in say, 1979 instead of 1989.

1200's-ish. I love the swords and horses and how they work everyday and have small villages where everyone knows each other and what not.

I would defintaly fit into the 1800's. I have such a vast knowledge of the era and it was a time when there was a great in britian, a very industrious empire. Not like now, now it's crap. But I still imagin people in horse and buggies, men with top hats and jack the ripper
