I wrote my first story at age five. It was around seven Post-It notes long and it was about 'a girl who lost her home and couldn't find her home and then found her home after being in the forest because she lost her home.' xD
I want to publish my first book this summer. I'm thirteen. ;D
Writing is absolutely my hobby and pretty soon it'll become my career. :) That, and photography.

    Writing isn't a hobby, it's a lifestyle.
I started writing properly about four years ago, and to be honest, I don't know what I'd be doing with my life if I wasn't writing. It's the best way to escape, and to let your feelings out.

Writing seems to have been apart of me for as long as I can remember. I can't see myself living without writing anything. I live and breathe it. To be able to share what means to world to me in a place like this, is amazing to me. I just love the fact that so many people share the same passion.

I adore writing. It's like a body suit I put myself in and I'm anyone I want to be. It's an incredible feeling.
I wrote my first story on post-it notes when I just learned how to write. It went like this:
"Once there was a girl who was lost in the woods and lost her home. She couldn't find her home because she lost her home. She tried to find her home but she couldn't because she lost her home. Then she found her home and she was happy she found her home."
Of course, I edited out the spelling mistakes because this was the era when I wrote 'poem' like 'powem.'
I've been writing ever since, really. I want to publish my first book this summer. Keep in mind that I'm 13 (but please don't underestimate me).
I honestly can't remember what I used to do without writing.

Ugh. I posted this twice. How do you delete? X_X

^ You can't. Just edit it and say ignore, or double, or something. We all understand about computers backfiring. Rolling Eyes

I love to write! I plan on being a famous author one day. People already say I'm a good writer, but I still have a long way to go!
Also, I've been writing for years and my writing has expanded. XD

I've been writing ever since elementary. I never cared if I was good or if people hated my stories and writing. I just write to have something to do or if I just need to get my expression out. Sometimes if I desire something, I can just write it down in a story and it comes true in my imagination. It's basically something to make me happy and un-bored. Even though I'm no top of the line author or writer, I still think I'm good no matter what.

Just like many others here, I love writing
I'm from Sweden and have been writing in Swedish since I was about nine years old. When it comes to writing in English, I started in 2007, but I think that I've developed quite a lot ever since, thanks to this writing community.

I love to write... It has become a hobby of mine. I do have my moments, and then there are those awful times when you have all these ideas floating around, but you can't seem to put them down in words.

I do have a question though... Is it bad that I click on these forums mainly to see other people's signatures? XD Now I sound like a stalker. :P

I love writing but when I was a kid, I thought I hated writing. I guessed I never liked it because I didn't like being told what to write. We had to do a lot of writing prompts when I was younger.

Then I realized I liked to write creavtiy and it didn't take when I met my best friend in high school to figure that out. Ever since then I been writing just between her and I, but only now I shared it to the internet world because I wanted more people to see it.

    I love writing.
however its not something I personally believe i'm good at.
I start writing many things then stop. I just don't know how to continue some things.
tbh with you, not been able to write anything substantial upsets me quiet alot.
I also find it extremely hard to build up the courage to post something. I get all nervous and sick when I do. I have a total lack in self confidence. Especially in my writing.
Anyyyyyyyyy way. Rant over haha x

^ Aw, you shouldn't feel like that. Most (read that: all but like, 3) people on here are so nice, and though it's hard to get feedback at first, you can always ask for a beta or do the story review game.
I was nervous when I first posted too, and that was on freaking Quizilla. Mibba is a whole different universe. Smile

I can't go anywhere without my trusty notebook and pen. I'd cry if I forgot to bring it. I pack for long trips, I pack it just to go to the mall. I pack it with me all the time.

Writing is my lover and my mistress. She sings for me and I scribble down the meaning.
Basically, I'm in love with writing. I don't know why, really. It's not one of those things where you just do, but it needs planning and structuring and realistic ideas. Though, for me, it's like a toy. I play with it, I mess around it with. If it gets dirty, I clean it up a little.
Writing is sort of like a pillow. Wometimes it's comfy, sometimes it's lumpy and unwilling.
When I'm older, I'd like to become a writer. I can't imagine myself doing anything else with my life.

I love to write! I'm slowly getting better and better, although sometimes I just like to not try as much and let it out just becaues. But if I really focus and TRY, I can make some brilliant pieces, hah. Cute

I wrote my first story when I was around 11 or 12... it was a very driven star wars fan fiction. My best friend's (at the time) mom loved it, from what I remember. xD

Then I began writing a fantasy story of my own, starting in 8th grade but it never really took hold until my Junior year of high school where I plowed through writing the first fifty pages of it and showed it to my english teacher. She liked it so much she had the whole class read it as an assignment, and got me a scholarship to a writer's conference that summer. I learned a lot from that conference.

Then my senior year I began to really get into poetry, and joined my school's poetry slam team.

I ended up abandoning the whole fantasy genre and my original story idea I had my junior year by the time I hit college, and I started para-rping on another forum. I used a vampire character of my own creation a lot on there, and formulated a story based on him that never really took hold.

I've attempted to write story after story, but, none of them really stuck. I got bored or sick of the plot and moved on to something else. Poetry has always stuck with me though. I love writing poetry, it's what I'm good at. Novels are a bit beyond my attention span.

I love writting, I've been writting since I was 11 or 12. I remember reading small stories I had written to my friends =D. Of course I was horrible at it back then haha but I still love it, and I hope that I will continue to get better at it.

I've recently gotten the courage to start writting original fiction here also. I've been told that I should look into finding an agent and publish my original story when it's finished, but I don't feel confident in my writting to really consider it.

I love writing, but just as a hobby. I don't think I'll be publishing a book anytime, mostly because I get bored with my ideas too quickly to finish anything. I like writing one-shots the most because I don't feel like I have to be tied down to one story line for a period of time. I just use it as a way to vent because I really don't have anyone to vent to.

WRITING is the only hobbie I've stuck with the longest, being around 3 or so years. (besides listening to music) I love it and i want to make it my career
