Have currently just moved here, but it's a nice place. It's not too far from Cardiff and there's always something to do here. The weather isn't insanely good all the time, but it's typical of home, and I like the place too much to be affected by the weather.

Some bits of it are horrible and awful, but it's overrun by how much I like it. (:

I live in Herndon, Va. It's a very dense community. I don't despise it but I am looking forward to exploring the world on my own, far away from the East Coast. I appreciate the large populations of Hispanics as they've educated me on their culture, language, and are very hardworking and good people. But I dislike the smell, the environment, and the dense gang activity. I'm more of a Pacific lover. Anchorage, Santa Barbara, Hawaii... Minnesota, I have the entire country out there for me :D

I live in a tiny village in Slovakia, about 40 minutes of train ride away from Bratislava. And it's... well. The village itself is incredibly boring and annoying. Whenever I want to get something, I have to travel to the nearest bigger town, because we only have grocery shops in here. Let alone talking about some kind of amusement opportunities.

On the other hand, when talking about living in Slovakia... I quite like it, I like the history of the country, the ~sight-seeing places, the nature. I like that it's so close to Vienna, and I like that it's really... not that insanely far away from other countries. We even start to get famous bands coming to have concerts here recently, which is a good change. But I don't like how conservative the whole society still is here. It's annoying.
Hey! My parents both come from Slovakia, as well as the rest of my family. I'm the first person in my entire family to be born in America. My grandmother lives in Bratislava, and I've been there a bunch of times, I was just there last month, weirdly enough. Psh, you should be glad you don't have to live in small town America..

But judging from your post, your english is really good. My Slovakian is terrible..which is kinda sad, since it was my first language..but I really know absolutely nothing about my heritage.

I live in San Jose, California. One thing I love about my area is that it's incredibly safe. It's somewhere between the city and suburbia but it's cheap considering just how safe it is.
And it doesn't get below freezing pretty much ever, which is really nice, but I hate the fact that the weather can be so unpredictable. It's almost October and it was 90 degrees today.
I wish it weren't so expensive also :grr: California is more expensive than a lot of states, even if you don't live in a big city, which I do.
But I really do like it here. :cute:

I live in Queensland Australia. One thing i love about the town i live in is that it is only a short dive from the great barier reef and all of the Whitsunday Islands! YAY!
One thing i hat is the heat and humidity!!! YUCK! We only have about a month max two when it is relatively cool and by cool i mean 20 degrees! most times it is 35-40 degrees and 85% humidity! Still it is a very cruisy and laid back place!

I live in Malmö in Sweden.

I like the city, it's a nice city and it have good clubs, and it's close to Denmark.
What I don't like, is that here's so many foreigners, not that all of them are awful, I don't believe that for even a second, but the thing is, that they think all Swede's are racistic, if you're blond and blue eyed, you're hating everybody from a different country, and me having typical Swede look, get punched around a lot. Which makes me hate this place more than anything.

I do like how cold it is here, but not being equal as cold as up in Stockholm :twitch: And it's close to the beaches.

All in all, it's a good place, I'd say :tehe:

I live in Baldwin Park, Cali.
It's a small city in LA, and yes I would love to get out of here someday.
Nothin' much happens here, and the California weather doesn't to it for me.
Sometimes it's like 90 degrees in the fall.
I have no idea why people wanna live here. It's not what you think it is really. :/

I currently live in Finland. If you are looking for seasons, you should definitely come here. I'd say that the best travel season is late summer/mid autumn. We have the most amazing autumn colours. But, if you are not so into being cold EVERY SINGLE MINUTE, then I suggest saving up to a trip to Spain.

    Suffocating Hearts:
I live near Waldorf, Maryland and we've been here for about 11 years.

Honestly, people tend to find Waldorf boring, especially if they weren't born here. No, we don't have a million malls, and even with this baseball stadium down the street, the biggest concert that've we've had here was T-Pain and Flo Rida.

I do like it here though - it feels like home and since almost everyone is moving around here, you really do get to know a lot of different people. Plus, a lot of teachers are moving down to this area. Most of mine are from Michigan and Pennsylvania.
totally grew up around waldorf...i think the only thing i found exciting was the first time a friend of mine came down to visit from CT, we went to the movies just outside the mall, we were the only white people out there and she saw the cop car and asked "what happened?" i glanced around for an ambulance or a firetruck and then realized she was talking of the cars..."those are normal, didn't you notice the 'no weapons' stickers on the doors?"...but yeah, it's not all it's cracked up to be, you can't even say good charlotte hails from there anymore...

i currently live in Richmond, Virginia. i'm in love with their local music scene as well as the bigger bands that pass through [a lot play at some of the smaller venues, that's how i've met a few], i love the bustle of a city and then there are places you can just go and forget the same bustle at the same time. i'm not sure there's one thing i don't like about it...well i guess people can't drive, that's a big one.

Aldershot. It's okay, but there's nothing to do here really. I like it because me and my friends live close together. (:

I love it here, I don't think there is another city quite like ours. It's so rich with history and culture and just, gah, it's beautiful.

The tourists aren't so fun though, I really hate when you're walking up the Bridge's and a group of tourists stop, and arrange themselves so that 1) they're taking up the entire pavement and 2) so that they can point behind them at the 'Scotsman' sign with big grins to get their picture taken.

Rant over, I love it here.

It's a quick train ride away from Manhattan. Which is great, my friends and I go a lot for shopping, dinner, museums, whatever.

The only downsides are the crappy beaches and the influx of holidaymakers during the summer.
And Tennis Week *shiver* Never work during Tennis Week.

    Cute
The best thing about it? How quiet it is, and how we can get away with a lot living in tiny communities.
The worst? The lack of activities, and the inability to keep a secret here.

A town called Rockhampton. We call it "Rocky", it's alright. I'd rather live in a bigger city, like Brisbane, or Sydney. I love Australia though, The people and the Australian spirit is awesome. Australians are really laid back, and easy going, I'm really proud of my country.

The area I live in is a dump and I hate it. I hate the fact I moved from the most expensive part in North London, to the poorest.

I live in a little Town in Surrey, England. Which is in the South.

I hate it quite a bit really. I'm definately more of a city girl - I love going to London to see old friends and family.
It's incredibly boring, and full of old people.
It's like Dibley in the Vicar of Dibley, with a couple of teenage pregnancies and kebab shops thrown into the mix.
There's not a lot to do around here although it is really central - so I can hop on the train and be in London in 40 minutes, or in Brighton or Portsmouth in 15. That's what I love about where I live.
