Those users who think being "popular" on Mibba automatically means you get like a hundred readers, a hundred subscribers, and tons of feedback. Like hello. No. Even being well-known will not save you from this comment shortage apparently going on.

I'd consider myself well-known, and I still get absolutely no feedback. XD

When people take everything you say out of context when really, what was said was in no way controversial like even from other's point of view.

I feel ya there. People pegged me as Mibba famous before but most of times I only get feedback if I ask for it or persistently present it in people's viewing zones such as blog sections. tehe

How everyone is so hung up on "Mibba Famous"
The default layout for everything having a width of 800. Why can't it be 500? That's reasonable.

I want to try some. I'm unsure, but I think I'm gonna try.
Occasionally, when someone replies to a comment I have left on a blog or their profile or story or what have you, it doesn't let me know, and I don't like that because it can be forever later and I'll have no idea someone has said something to me. Then it looks like I'm ignoring them or something. I don't wanna ignore anybody. Cry

The fact that sometimes I'm not even getting alerts for replies to comments or forum posts. I really like seeing what other people are saying and I don't tend to check forums or blogs I've previously posted in / on unless I get an alert. It only happens once or twice but when it does, it's infuriating.

Are you guys certain that they're actually hitting the reply button? Think Because quite a few times I haven't received an alert but then I've found out that the person just typed out @ username rather than hitting reply.

That my friends tell me I don't sound like myself on the boards or debate threads because I'm self-editing everything I say to such an extreme degree.

I do miss the avidity I used to see when you posted in debate threads, it was inspiring to me.

Honestly, I feel sort of the same way. I feel like I can't be as much of myself as I once was because apparently everything I do or say is wrong or offensive for whatever reason Facepalm

I wish that there was a place for older Mibbians to like, hang out, such as a discussion thread or a club or something along those lines. I don't have anything against younger members or look down on them or judge them in any way, but people above the age of say...20 are a minority here, and it would be nice to have a place to talk to people who are at a similar stage in their lives as I am and going through the same issues I'm going through, if that makes any sense.

Try being over 30 around here. I don't do much around here anymore...too old and out of touch with the younger members.

Omigosh, it's hard enough being 23 on here XD But I do get the feeling, not only because I'm out of college and everything, but also because I'm not really into most of the things that are popular on here. Then again, I never have been.

I don't have anything against younger users, I'm able to strike up and hold a conversation with just about anybody, it would just be nice to have a place to communicate with users closer to my age, if that makes any sense.

    --

I don't really like how seemingly more and more segregated the site has become in terms of what users are interested in. It's like people don't want to have any sort of relationship with you unless you like the same tv shows as them, write the same types of stories they do, are involved in the same fandom, listen to the same music, and so on. Most of my friends that I talked to on a daily basis weren't into the same stuff I'm into or even knew about my fandom, but we were still friends because we could talk about writing and what was going on in our lives and other things like that.

We could make a club for "adult" Mibbians to discuss life issues pertinent to our age group. I think it would be nice to have a place to talk about work, living on your own, money issues, relationships, civic duties, etc with other users your age who can relate. I talk to users of all ages on here, but I do agree that sometimes it'd be nice to talk to someone my own age. It's not that I think the younger users are too immature or anything, but I do feel really awkward sometimes when I talk to them and they're all excited about their first day of high school and I'm like, "Yeah, I just applied to a PhD programme." Shifty It just makes you feel so old when you're fairly young. XD

I'd be all for that! My opinions, etc., are sometimes way out of touch around here and having folks closer to my age to talk to would be lovely!

    @ bona drag.

I actually considered the club thing, but the all-inclusive rule made me think that it wouldn't be something that would be allowed. I just feel like this is such a confusing and hectic time for me in my life right now and it would be nice to talk to people going through the same things, ya know?

Plus it would be ah-mazing to not feel like such a creepy oldster lmfao

Maybe they'd let us have a password protected thread? Or something that says "must be 20+ to post here" or something...
