Panic! At The Disco

I got a ticket for pukkelpop after all.. I was so looking forward to seeing them. I've waited 3 hours in a crowded tent to be on the front row. I could see them on the side of the stage and they could come on stage any moment. Then it started raining and a storm hit the festival erea. The guys went back into their trailer and I can't blame them. The whole tent was shaking and I thought it would collapse. When the storm was over, we heard the news that some other tents were collapsed and that a few people got injured. The panic-crew got back on stage to take away the materials and it was clear that panic would not play. Later we heard that a few people died in the tent that collapsed. At first I was sad because I was so close to seeing Panic again and It got cancelled. Now I know I'm lucky to be still alive. Such a tragedy :(

^ Oh wow, I remembered someone in this thread saying they wanted to go to Pukkelpop (not sure it was you or someone else), and after hearing about what happened, I was wondering if they were there.

^ Pretty sure it was me saying that. I ended up not going, because tickets sold out super quick and before I could get my hands on them. I was unhappy about it on Thursday afternoon, but ended up being so happy that I wasn't there. The stories I heard from people that were there, the footage I've seen on tv, so terrible.
I live about 40 minutes from the festival site and by the time the storm reached us it was mostly pouring rain and lots of thunder and lighting, but the wind had calmed down. Still the worst weather I've seen in my 24 years of living in Belgium though. I was on my way home from the dentist and I barely could see where I was driving. Never been more glad to make it home safely. Felt like all hell broke lose and we didn't even get the worst of it.
I was happy to read Panic was okay. Though I didn't realize the severness of the whole thing until later that night, when the deaths were announced on tv and radio. Lots of my friends were at the festival and reading all their 'home safe' messages on Facebook was such a huge relief! Glad to hear you are okay as well, Annelies!

It's horrible what happened at the festival. I'm glad they're okay, and I'm glad none of you got hurt either. It's such a relief!

Well, well. It seems like everything went well in the Reading Festival (and it's ~*Ryan*~'s birthday today, too...).

Kind of a bummer when I read about it just being the UK. But oh well, there'll be other chances I guess. I just hope the Pukkelpop drama hasn't scared them into never coming to Belgium again...

In other news, and in case some of you lived under a rock the past couple of days: Brendon and Sarah got engaged :D! I'm superstoked for them! And there better be wedding pictures, cause I just know they'll look stunning!

^ I'm happy with mine, so not me. But thanks for the offer, I think it's a sweet idea. And as far as I know, they are still together. But they live far apart and don't see each other a lot because Haley is still college I think? Based on tweets she made end of August/beginning of September they were definitely still together back then.

^ I take it you don't have a Tumblr or follow Brendon/Sarah on Twitter? The internet kind of exploded when they (I think it was Zack who made the first tweet) announced it, so funny to watch xD. It was announced somewhere in September. Like three days before the R.E.M. announcement :).

And well, Ryden has always been a figment of my imagination, and I guess it'll always stay that way ;). Nothing more, nothing less...

I follow Brendon on twitter, & get text alerts, but never saw anything about it. My phone however is sometimes jacked up & doesn't deliver all the alerts I should get from time to time. (We all know technology is an a-hole haha).
But that's awesome! I'm really happy for them. :) I just want Brendon happy. But yeah I don't have tumblr. I don't really have a computer I can use all the time & I have too many accounts all over the place as is haha.

Haha, same. Ryden will always be something I write about or imagine. My friends & I still find some silly things in their songs & say "They are so writing about each other" even though we're sure they aren't. It's still amusing.

I'm seeing Panic on the 9th and meeting them again. Super excited.

I used to come on here all the time! I miss this board.
I just saw Panic! for the second time on this past Saturday! It was even better this time because it was standing room and I was in the second row, so they were all right there.
I almost cried though because I still miss Ryan.

It was really weird to have seen them without Ryan.
But I absolutely adore and respect Dallon and Ian.
