Favorite Line You've Ever Written

Super in love with this line from the next chapter of Cliches and Compunction:

"We were a mass of limbs and broken hearts."

I have several favorites from Bus. The last three are from chapters that haven't been posted yet though.

Screw that, God must’ve said. Doug Tater? I hate that guy! I’m gonna make his life a living hell!

Just like my soul, this place is empty and deserted, quiet and barren.

I stand up and reach for my car keys lying on the counter, and when I turn around to look back at my little sister, my only sister, she keeps on smiling bittersweet like she never ever wanted to be alone again.

I’m not above taunting children.

The world is not some dumb teenage movie, though often times I mistake it for one, what with the shitty plotline and awful character development.

(Erm, this one is kind of spoiler-ish so it's in white.) Wouldn’t it be funny if I died in a fucking bus? Yeah, that’s fuckin’ hilarious.

It’s an extraordinary kind of ordinary.

What monsters dwell in the stunning head of hers? And even worse, what are those monsters capable of?

2. Animals whose eyes are still dark with nighttime are coming back into existence; animals whose eyes glowed in the shadows are disappearing once again in little spurts of fire. Few remain, besides the creepers and the trees.

3. I am trapped in a nonresponsive personal spacecraft, travelling at speeds too fast for the craft to handle, heading inexplicably towards a flaw in the fabric of the universe. In shorter words, I am on a death trip. I will not be returning to my planet.

4. Now I accept my fate. As the pressure takes me, the darkness total, the lights on my spacecraft fizzling out, the tough shell crackling and collapsing like tinfoil around Styrofoam, my every nerve tingling from the weight of a thousand pounds per square inch of my body, I manage to keep my eyes open long enough to see the end. A bright, clear light.

1. One of my favorite letters I've had a character write :

Dear Lila,

I figured it was best if I just wrote this in a letter. I really just wanted to say thank you for allowing me to apologize to you. Even if you don't believe me fully, I still appreciate it and understand your reasoning. Regardless, I want you to know that I truly am sorry for the pain I have caused you. I never thought it through on how it'd affect you, and for that I am the most sorry. I hope some time in the future you are able to forgive me.

You may notice that I decided to get you a plastic rose. I wanted to get you a real one, but I know that eventually it would dry and up die, something I didn't want because in this rose, it holds my apology. And by the rose being able to remain alive, so would my promise. By my promise, I mean I promise to make sure you're never bothered again. I'm going to do my best to convince Matt and Luca to leave you be, because I know we owe you that much. I just wanted to let you know that everything that happened with Mario, I don't blame you anymore. I thought my actions were justified because of it, but I realize that it doesn't. It won't change or make anything better, no matter how much I want it to.

Before I disappear from your life completely, I wanted to leave you this and hopefully we are both able to make some kind of peace. Even if it may not make that much of a difference, thank you for letting me at least try. Hope the rest of your life is how you want it to be, take care Lila.

It's a line from a one shot that I wrote two years ago. The writing is not the greatest, but the whole feel of the one shot I love.
"They were perfect, they were golden."

"Sure, she knew she could sometimes be a stubborn bitch and he could be a moronic asshole, but they just worked."

I was so proud of this line.

"Make an appointment with the doctor. Close your eyes. Stay here on the roof with me and just let the world pass you by until you feel like you need to see again."

I sobbed writing Hope and now going back and reading it again, the pain is still there. I cite it often as one of the best things I've ever written.

"The manacles of our enslavement have yet to be challenged."

It's from my Synyster Gates story, it's a vampire hunter story and boy do I love that story so much. It's my baby. I'm so proud of it.

On the edge of the world, with the cuboid sun and the dew on the stones by the rivers and the creepers and the trees, lays a quiet cluster of rickety wooden huts interspersed with overgrown gravel paths, brought together by a stone water-well whose bucket is long gone but no longer needed.

I have a thing for describing video games.

I love that line so much!

Sometimes you don’t need reassurance that everything is going to be alright. You just need to know that somebody else is going through whatever you’re going through, because if you can’t get through it, you might as well make a friend in the process.
