^It's when you control another persons character. Think I think that's the best way to explain it.

For example, if a person says -looks over at Justin and grins- it's perfectly fine. But if the RP-er didn't state that they 'looked over at Justin and grinned' but you then go on to say they were, that's god-mobing.

    lets pretend:
It says on the front page that the images used over in the roleplay are supposed to be 100x100.
And, god-mobbing is when you make other people's characters do things, or make your character perfect at everything. Hope that helps. Cute

Oh I know, i read that. But it's foolish in my opinion for people to argue over something so...stupid.
And thank you for the help. Cute

Mibba Role-play is a bit different then the typical internet Role-play. Basically, it's like co-writing a story without planning it (or sometimes it is planned). When you role play, you'll make a character (often with a skeleton, which you will see if you browse a few threads) and you'll "play" that character. It's a lot like having a character in the story, only you interact with others. Your post depends on theirs and theirs depends on yours.

There are two types: action and paragraph.
Paragraph (aka para) is a where you write out full sentences, correct grammar, correct spelling, and all that jazz.
Example: Jane wandered about the shop, trying to pick the perfect foods for her husband's favourite meal.

The other, action, is a bunch of sentence fragments, really. The actions used are typically * or -.
    Example: -wandering about the shop-
-hoping she's getting the right ingredients-
    -making dinner for her husband-

(It is most commonly used in third person omniscient, but sometimes in first person).

There are also group role-plays and closed role-plays. If it has 'closed' in the title or says it's closed in the first post, then you're not to post on it unless it's allowed or you're one of the characters. The only difference is group is open to anyone and closed is open to only designated people.

Is there somewhere you can look for people to do closed roleplays? Because I am new to the site and don't really know anyone, so I don't know who to ask or what they are into...

I have the same issue. Not that I'm new, I just have no clue how to go about asking people if they want to go a closed RP.

You can just start a thread with a title asking for a One on One roleplay, or send someone a personal message to ask. If you do set up a thread, and get someone to join a RP with you, I'd suggest editting the thread instead of starting a new one when you start RPing, just edit the title and first post with who's in it and stuff. Also, if you have an idea, you should post that in the first post too.

Hope that's clear and helpful XD

The thing is, I don't want to look stupid by posting an RP and having no one to join, so I'd prefer to know beforehand that someone will be joining.

You could always PM a few people and see if anyone wants to do one with you? ^__^

I thought about that, but the things I'd like to role play about may not be what tons of others want to do. Big Time Rush, Michael Jackson, and Glee, for example :)

And I do kinda long posts for my replies, and I don't know how many people do that.

Well, what I do, is research that person and read their roleplaying posts to see how long they usually write, what type of roleplay they're into and such.

Then I message them casually, and tell them about a roleplay I have in mind, and if they don't like it, they don't have to roleplay with you about it. Or if they do like the idea, they will roleplay it with you.

    Don't be shy! Cute

I just think it would be nice if we had a sticky note type thread where people could post about what they like to RP about and cultivate ideas, you know? It'd be easier for new users and RP'ers who are new to the forums.

This is just an idea :)

^We actually had a little bit of a discussion about it in the Things You Don't Like About Mibba thread. I agree that it'd be a good idea.

This is a good idea. Also, I think people should be able to request one on one RPs in the one thread. I just think everyone starting a new thread in order to look for people to one on one with just clogs up the forum.
