I hate it when people think I can't understand discrimination or prejudice because I'm white.

^ I'm not even white, but I agree. I firmly agree that racism is a two way street and although it might not be as common, white people are still discriminated against and people shouldn't belittle that.
I can't apply it to all Indian girls since my mum has amazing hairless, soft skin, but I've got really dull, dry, hairy skin. It's embarassing. I shave my entire body every two weeks because I've got such a problem with it (even more if it's summer or I'm seeing my boyfriend).
I hate it, because I don't see the problem amongst my white friends, since their hair is less obvious and more fine. I'm actually going to save thousands of pounds for laser hair removal, fml.

Well, I've never experienced racism. Shifty But I've experienced prejudice and discrimination anyway.

    Mr W. H.:
I envy people who grow up in bilingual families because they get to learn a foreign language while they're kids.
This. Twitch I would have given anything to have grown up somewhere where multiple languages were spoken.

I'm black and I hate how most of the time I have nothing in common with other people of my race. I'm usually the complete opposite of the typical "black person" stereotype and so most black people I know think I'm incredibly strange. I have never felt completely comfortable around people of my own race, not even my family. I hate enforcing stereotypes or whatever but it seems to be that the black people I know think that all other black people should be just as outgoing and confident as they are and listen to the exact same type of music they do and talk just like them and have the same interests and if you don't, then you're not really black. All of my close friends are white; I feel more comfortable around them than around black people. Shifty

    Agreed.
When I was young I had learned 4 languages by the age of 3, including English.
But just being in England meant I started using only English and now I can understand them all, but can only speak one language, because I never practiced.Facepalm

It's such a shame, I hate it, if you grow up learning it you have such an advantage, some people fine it so hard to learn a new language when you're older.

I have mostly Scottish/Irish/Swedish ancestry. I burn and freckle in the sun. I used to hate my freckles, but I've grown to love them Cute

I live in the Southern US (Virginia, specifically). It pisses me off when I get grouped with the rednecks, just because I'm white.

This. tehe I mean I'm pretty much on the way to being fluent in German now, so I don't mind that much, but it'd still have been nice to get the head-start. XD

However, it post a problem when you're having exams... especially when the most important language tested that will concern your future is the one that is sort of... not your supposed native language.

I swear, those English Comprehensions were a biatch.
    Save me from this misery.

I really don't like the English languages. It's confusing and I think it's kind of stupid sometimes. It's almost pointless learning the English alphabet because of how many different way people pronounce certain words, especially silent letters.

I think the fact that you're Jewish is the reason why you receive so much racism. I know a Jewish guy who gets a hell of a lot of racism.

But when someone's white and not Jewish, I don't see them getting a lot of racism on the regular, most of the times, none at all.

i'm multi-racial. however, i hate my hair that is a clear combination of all the ethnicities. i hate the fact that i range from beige to a near dark brown. i wish i could tan and stay within the same color range. i go outside for half an hour (with sunblock) and gain twenty shades.

one thing i hate about being hispanic is that other people don't seem to realize that there are other hispanic countries besides mexico. i have nothing against mexico, but please don't call me mexican. i am not mexican, that is just pure ignorance.

what i mean is, it's different to ask. i understand curiosity, however if i point out that i am not mexican and you continue with that... i cannot help but hate you.

I hate the fact I'm Italian just because if I was over seas I would be having either a white or red wine with dinner every night. In America, we can't express our cultures in such a way. Like the Germans. They have a shot of Jagger before every meal. From what I understand, that is.
I don't think that's true. My b/f is full Italian form Italy and he doesn't do that. He and his family DO like their wine and he knows good wine when he sees it but doesn't drink it every night all the time. I don't see how you couldn't express your culture in America though I mean it is America your free to do anything as long as it's legal.

i'm not italian, i don't know much about the culture but i can see what both sides are saying. this is a free country, we can do whatever we want to some extent. however, in some cultures or families drinking is customary. i mean, my cousin from switzerland was here a few years ago and he was only 18 at the time. he enjoyed drinking, but technically he wasn't really supposed to do that here, he wanted to know why i couldn't drink a glass of wine with them at dinner.

american laws can be restricting on certain cultures. however, that doesn't restrict the entire culture. drinking does not make a culture, there are other things you can do that are still part of it. i couldn't drink when my german cousins were here last year, but i could still suffer eating borscht with them. i think you two both have really valid points, it's just different opinions xD

I hate that I'm forced to identify with one side of my heritage or another. To black people, I'm practically white, and to white people I am without a doubt completely and utterly black.

I do not see why people cannot accept the fact that I am BIRACIAL, and I would like to have both sides of me recognized for the impact they've had on me.

I also feel like because of my physical features I don't really belong anywhere. I grew up in a town that had a LOT of diversity, with a lot of black people and Latinos and white people and Italians and just a very wide span of culture, but I never really fit in anywhere because I didn't look like any of them. I was too dark to be white and too light to be black. My hair wasn't kinky enough to be black, but too curly to be white. I hate that people assume they can determine that I am black or white based on how I look.

And where I live now, in a majorly white small town, I am pegged for black immediately because I don't look fully white. It's just a shame, and for once I'd like to feel as if I was just biracial and not black or white.

Also, stereotypes. The whole: taco, amigo, sombrero, me gusta bullshit that I'm subject to whenever I mention I'm Mexican.

No, I do not freaking wear a sombrero, "amigo". I do like tacos but what you consider tacos is actually called a freaking tostada. Oh, and I do not have a mustache.
