Story Brainstorming + Mentoring

I need a mentor/beta. Its for my story called The Fame, it's the last part of its four part series.

It's basically showing the negative effects of fame on the main character Audrey; it shows her downward spiral as she becomes more and more lost in her fame. It is a drug filled drama laced with betrayal and innocence lost.

I have this story. It's set in this day and age, in Tennessee. It's from the point of view of a guy called Tyler. He befriends Georgia, a girl he's known since elementary school. He's known all his life that she was sick and that she was dying, but, during the summer of his junior year they become friends and fall in love. The story is told as if he's remembering the four months he had with her after their junior year.

The whole point I'm trying to make is, what do you do and how do you live knowing that your life is nearing its end and how do those around you respond to that?

So I have this idea that I just cannot start on without making it complete crap. It's going to be a fanfic, based in the GazettE fandom (and a little bit of Kagrra, mixed in), that follows Takanori (Ruki) and Hatoshi (Isshi) through their short relationship and long-lasting friendship, and ends a while after Hatoshi's death. I really want to get it written, but I have no idea where I should start, and I've been going back and forth between two styles. Okay, I haven't started this story yet, I plan on starting soon. Mostly I need help with motivation, characterization/plotting and someone who can help me decide what works and what doesn't. The story is the first of hopefully a series called The Summer of the Witches, it's sort of like a modern day version of the Salem Witch Trials and that's pretty much all I can give right now. I need major help creating the villain and all the issues that will be there. There will be greek mythology connotations for sure. What I know so far is this: It's set somewhere in the future. Everyone knows that Wicca is real. What they don't know is the Witches are born to protect innocents from demons and thus starts the modern day witch trials. Kadie Summers in the youngest daughter of the high priestess of a coven. They live in a small ,cut off community where only witches live so they can practice freely. For some reason, they have to move to they city where they can no longer practice so openly and any demon hunting they do has to be on the down low. I have a few more directions this story can take and I just need help figuring out which ones to take and how to make this story more exciting.

I'm getting ready to start plotting this out tonight or tomorrow. I would really love some help with all of this and making sure everything is straight and make sense and isn't all over the place because I think my stuff usually is like that...

I have two plot ideas for a story. They’re both based off the same idea, but I really can’t choose, so I’d appreciate some thoughts and opinions on each one.

The first plot (I call it ‘the plain plot’, but I suppose it could be written in an exciting way) is about a boy getting ready for, and attending the funeral of his boyfriend who was murdered quite recently. I have to incorporate the colour dark blue and the emotion grief, since it’s for a writing competition. He dresses in dark blue instead of the traditional black because it was either the favourite colour of his boyfriend or the colour of his eyes (I need some help with deciding that too). It’s basically a oneshot of his thoughts and memories of his boyfriend.

The other plot is quite out there and I’ve never written anything like it before, so it could be a huge risk. In this the ages of the two boys are a bit higher (17 or 18), and instead of it just being a plain memory story, it will have a real plot to it. The boy who is still living had only ever admitted his desire to be a girl to his boyfriend, and he was completely accepting of this fact. So, on the day of his funeral, the boy decides to wear the dark blue dress that his boyfriend had bought for him a few months earlier. He wears it in front of his family, and they don’t accept it in the same way his boyfriend had done. I don’t know whether they all leave the funeral, or if they ignore him completely then leave as quickly as possible. I do know some harsh words will be thrown around it it’ll end with him alone at the grave.

I need help with my story Spoils of War. I received a critique that I've told too much instead of showing, and I also need help adjusting the pace. It's a war story set in the future, centered around a particular town. PM me if you're interested.

I've been beginning to feel as if my stories are all just becoming clichè. I need some tips on how to develop a plot and also have its own creative twist. I just feel like my writing can improve and this is the first place to start.

Hi everyone :) I'm formally known as the "Authoress" on Mibba (self-declared, I don't think I always qualify to be a very good writer.. hehe) I'm new here. *waves excitedly*

I am loving this site, everyone is so pleasant and sweet and generous when it comes to comments!

Anyway, sticking to the subject here, I am writing a story for myself and a contest (I started the story waaaaaaaaaay before joining here, then thought I should put it here since I'm nowhere near getting published anytime soon... maybe someday *hopeful*) and I just can't seem to come up with a cool fitting title. For now, I've called it "Lost in Time" but it just doesn't fit/seems way too cheesy.

The basic plot is that there are two love stories from different time periods, and the one in the present is ongoing and just started, the one from the past is buried under memories in no hopes of ever coming forth until one of the lovers die. Not going to reveal anything else :P But I was wondering if ANYONE HAS A GOOD TITLE, please give me a suggestion? :) I'm looking forward to any suggestions I get. I'm open to most anything.
