Oh, good lord.
All the stuff I wrote back when I was obsessed with Quizilla. I seriously have stacks upon stacks of notebooks and little journals that are filled with horrible fan-fics (mostly MCR, but I threw in a little AFI, Green Day and The Used in there). Every single stereotype and cliché that you can think of is used. My writing has improved sooo much since then, but I'm just amazed at how horribly bad they are.
Just thank God that I never ended up actually posting them online.
Also, there's this one fanfic that my friend Amy and I co-wrote (well, she wrote most of it, I just provided ideas when she was stuck and thought of all the ~plot twists~). It was an AFI fic called Love On the Coast (and it took place in London so that made no sense at all WTF), and it was a blatant self-insert, and it was just...so fucking ridiculous.
The narration was lame, the drama was just completely stupid and so unrealistic, and it was just SO BAD, OMG. We wrote it when we were...fourteen, I think? And the worst part? We actually thought it was good.
We actually read the whole thing awhile go (it was never finished) and we died laughing. Seriously, it was the most hilarious thing ever. She still has the big ass notebook we wrote it in. Which is exactly why I haven't thrown away the bazillion notebooks I have in my room. They're fun to read when I'm bored or need a good laugh. And if I'm ever having a bad day and think, "God, my writing totally sucks," all I have to do is read one of my old stories and I feel way better about myself.
