I wish I could write mysteries/detective stories. I used to tell myself that I wouldn't watch mysteries until I wrote one of my own but... that's gone out of the window :')

I also would love to be able to write Sci-fi/Fantasy but it's difficult. I've made concerted efforts, and I'm sort of getting better but... yeah

Sex scenes. Really, that's my only major problem area right now. It's just.... sex is so awkward. Twitch

You'd probably be pro at writing sex scenes that are supposed to be awkward Hand

Really intense mysteries. Like, the kind that you never know what's really going on until the last few chapters.

And writing futuristic technology. I write some sci-fi, and the technology is always my downfall 'cuz it's so hard to keep it that balance of realistic and fantastic Facepalm

Yeah, I wish I could write mystery stories. It's so hard to make everything link up, and give everything a reason by the end, but then also make it so that it's not blatantly obvious to the reader who the killer/whatever is.

I can write sci-fi and fantasy though - that's the stuff I really enjoy writing. To be honest, I'm probably better at that than I am at writing real life stuff Smile

Male characters that aren't doom, gloom, and dreary. All of mine have been these aggressive mean guys that don't give a rats *ss about anyone, not even themselves. I can't seem to write any that are happy or semi normal. The closest I've gotten was one of my boys throwing fries down one of the female characters shirts and smirking about it. Then it was back to doom and gloom again.

I wish I could write comedy. Like something that is really genuinely funny and witty, not just random or stupid or bitchy (not that I do any of that either). I try, but I usually fail. Comedy is a lotttt harder than one would imagine.

Fantasy and Sci-fi. I admire authors who can build worlds so effortlessly.
    Mr. Green That's my profession.

Gore. Just for the hell of it (although it's not really my style) I'd like to know what kind of mindset one would have to get into to actually write something like that.

And short stories. I have some that are almost complete, but it's hard for me to write because I always want to turn it into a long story (with the exception of Stripped Naked).

A character with parents that are together/happy together. I just can't. When my parents were together, they were never happy and I wasn't born when they were in love, so I haven't seen it...so I can't really write it, if you get me. It can be mentioned if the character is an adult and living away from home, but if the character lives with his/her parents, I just can't write them.

...xD That's a good question. I'd like to know the answer as well, seeing as I kind of like to write gore Shifty I've never really thought about having a particular mindset when I write it though Think

Stream-of-consciousness. I really, really wish I could write it.
