Thanks for the help :) yeah, I want her thoughts to run throughout the entire story, although one of the difficulties I've had in writing the following chapters is that they feel very forced =/

- ^ I've had that same issue too.
When you get the idea, maybe write it down as soon as you think of it (the idea, not the chapter/summary/whatever it is. Instead of trying to write it all in one go, plan the story out. The plot, the characters - maybe even little things like the backstory, etc etc. I don't know if it'll work for you but sometimes I write maybe a sentence or two down about the plot, or describe my characters in great detail and then from there get the inspiration to write out what I want to say.
Hope that helps, even a little bit :)
I tend to have that problem as well. The best cure for this situation is to decide which stories are most important, and put the rest either on hiatus or take them down from Mibba and save them in a file to go back to when you can. As for the ones you keep, you need to sit down and just write. I know that's one of the most annoying pieces of advice ever, but it's so true. That's the reason P.C. Cast, author of the House of NIght series, does not believe in writer's block. As annoying as it can be you need to sit down and just write and not even care what you're writing as long as you write it. Eventually your mind will connect with your story again and you'll find the inspiration to get it going and eventually go back and correct the beginning of your sit down. Keep doing this daily or every other day and before you know it your story will be on a roll and you'll be proud of your work. Like I said, it can be annoying but it is so worth it.

- I think its about time that I paid a visit to this thread I have a huge issue finishing chaptered stories I have them all planned out plot wise but I can never bring myself to write the updates
Amaranthe, the same goes for you as my advice from the above post. From what I read of your story it is fantastic, and if you know where you want to go, you're set! All you really need to do is sit down. No matter what, you need to sit down and write. That's what is keeping you from finishing. You have a mental block and once you just get yourself writing, it'll go away. Follow your plan to get you started no matter how badly it sucks when you start writing, then your imagination will pick it up. Then you can go back to it later. You just need the determination to get the next chapter started. =)

- I have a really hard time with Chasing Imagination. It's ridiculous, because I'm really excited about it and I know exactly where I want it to go, but I find it really hard to keep updating on a regular basis. I've already finished writing the sequel (which is about different people but features a few characters from Chasing Imagination), but I can't seem to finish this one. If anyone could read, comment and give feedback on Chasing Imagination, I would really appreciate it.
THIS. I feel the same exact way.

- My problem is that I get a GREAT story idea, but I just can't seem to get it out. I try to write it out and it never ends out like I want it to. I'm the same way in anything, I can't get my feelings out in the same way. Its just so hard to get the scenario in my head, onto the screen. I think myself a horrible writer, i put myself down, and I can't ge tit out the way I want it, so it's hard for me to stick to a story.
I have this same issue. Like all. the freaking. time. In my head it's a fantastic story, but on paper, I just can't seem to do it justice. I'm working on a story in my free time that I haven't decided whether or not to post yet called House Guests and Handcuffs But I never get comments and then I lose my will to write It makes me not want to post. Like I don't even care if my commenters say "wow, this blows" just write something, for the love of God.

I have a strategy for this. For House Guests and Handcuffs I've taken all my main characters and I'm writing really important plot developments on flashcards and sliding them around until they make perfect sense. It's sparked a ton of new ideas, too. Because I never feel like my writing is good enough, the new stuff I think of and the way it meshes with the flashcards almost blows my mind. It sounds kind of ridiculous and like way too much work, but it's really helping me. I recommend it.

- The Cursed Son and the Hand-Holder. Dear Goddess, that story's killing me! I have it planned, and the first chapter's posted (plus a prologue); I started the second one, but then I went on vacation and it just froze. I have the whole story in my head - and notebook, since I planned A LOT for it. I know what I want to write down, I just can't do it.
My problem exactly. I've also got problems with staring stories, deciding they should fit with another story, and deleting the story, recycling the characters to be used again in a different story. I've actually just written a list of things pertaining to my NaNo for this year, as in stories that can be deleted and integrated into the series I plan on writing over the next few years.

- Oh jesus... I should just start a story orphanage. I've got no problems starting stories, but finishing them? Oh, no way.
