Accidents Happen - CLOSED

Conner looked down at Zoe. "So, what's the first stop?" he asked.

"I need pants. I'm getting to fat for all of mine." She huffed, which caused her mom to chuckle.

Conner smiled. "You know you can always wear my sweat pants," he offered.

She sent him a glare, telling him she wasn't amused.

Conner chuckled. "I wasn't trying to be mean, babe. I was merrily saying that it is an option," he clarified.

Her glare didn't cease. "Not funny." She said before turning to her mom.

He sighed. "Alright, I'm sorry," he said.

"Mhmm." she said, continuing to give him the cold shoulder. She was already feeling insecure with growing belly and she didn't need his comments to make her feel worse.

He grabbed her arm and turned her around to face him. He held her face in his hands as he looked at her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to add to your insecurities. You are beautiful right now and don't ever think I will think of you differently just because your body will be changing," he said, resting his forehead against hers.

"Yeah well I don't feel it.." she said, crossing her arms. She realized she was probably being childish, but she didn't care.

He frowned. "Why don't you feel beautiful?" he asked.

"Because-" she huffed "My pants don't fit, my bras are too small, my shirts are starting to get tight, and half my shoes don't fit because my feet are swollen."

He closed his eyes briefly. "Clothes may be essential to walk around town with, but honestly, that is secondary stuff. You will fit in your clothes again. As for the swollen feet, I promise to give you foot rubs every day to keep the swelling down. Just because you have to spend a few months in maternity clothes you are still beautiful. You can make any outfit look stunning," he said, trying to reassure her.

Zoe rolled her eyes. "You're just saying that because you're like obligated to as my boyfriend."

He scoffed. "I am not obligated to say anything as your boyfriend. I am telling you the absolute truth. And I still promise to give you a foot rub," he said.

"I don't like people messing with my feet," she said, scrunching her nose up.

He grinned. "Then I will find you a foot massager to use instead," he said.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head before lacing her fingers through his. "I love you." she said, leaning up to kiss him softly.

He returned the kiss. "I love you too, and don't ever forget it," he said.

"Let's go find my mom," she said, pulling him into the store her mother had walked into moments before.
