    Okay so I have to start by saying that I am a little nervous to start a thread on here, especially since I am not even close to being "Mibba famous", because I don't know what sort of response I will get. But I'll just give it a try and we'll see what happens.

    So it's 2013, a brand new-ish year and I think a lot of us are thinking ahead to spring and summer and all the fashion and activities that come along with those warmer weather months. To name a few: Shorts, tank tops, sun-dresses, and bikinis. Most people look forward all year to the chance to show off a little more skin, to flaunt their enviable figures.

    But then again, some of us definitely do NOT.

    In fact a lot of us dread it. And while, in a perfect world, it wouldn't matter to us what our bodies looked like and we'd wear whatever we wanted, whenever we wanted with pride...it's just not always that simple.

    Now this is not to say that my main motivation behind starting this thread is vanity, that is hardly the case. It's just going to be an added benefit to look amazing in those summer styles ON TOP OF being toned, fit, healthy, and full of energy. Right?

    So I just want to make this a place for those of you out there that are looking for a little motivation, a few "fitness buddies" that are going to actually be as diligent as you, and a thread for you to chronicle your stories, your struggles, and most importantly your accomplishments.

    Firstly, I just want to say that while it seems as though I am on a healthy weight, I do have love handles/stomach/fat that is gross. So yeah, haha.

    1. I have never been thin my whole life, been a chubby kid and throughout my teenage years it just got worse, touched 200 pounds a couple of times and it was just bad. I never want to be that weight ever again.
    2. So I can wear shorts outside of the house and feel great. Summer just gets too hot for jeans, even capri's.
    3. When someone, especially if it's a guy, calls me pretty, beautiful, or whatever, I want to feel like I believe them. I don't want to roll my eyes, shake my head, and laugh. I want to believe them.
    4. To lose dat ass! I hate having such a big bum and if I lost some of it, I would be a couple jean sizes down and that would be great.
    5. And lastly, aside from wanting to feel pretty and wear pretty clothes, to be healthy. I want to know what healthy feels like.

    Oh my god guys...I found out my weight today. :( And body measurements. I could cry right now. I bought a scale today, one of the non-digital ones. It said I was...220 pounds. But I did read on some Walmart reviews that the scale can be/is off by 30 pounds...but my mom wasn't really surprised I weighted that much...

    Well you're in luck that you've found this thread, yeah? Cute Your weight is one of the few things that you have control of in life, exercise that control. Working out and eating healthy are all mental things. Your body won't go where your mind won't push it. Very Happy

    No problem! I worked out this morning. I did 100 jumping jacks, 15 squats, 20 tricep dips, 30 second plank, 50 crunches, and some other junk. In a little bit I'm going to hop on the treadmill and shoot to get 300 calories off.

    I got up to 3.1 MPH and in 50 minutes I managed to burn 325 calories just now. It's really not bad at all. I have my headphones in and am texting and singing as I'm doing it so it passes quickly.
