I suppose she is like Hermione but I always got the impression that Hermione needed to be the one to put her hand up because it made her feel superior or something. As in, she loved to be the smartest and stuff. Samara doesn't need to be the smartest, but she does have to do well.

Hmm, that is true. Unless they're all friends then? But then if Julienne is friends with Samara, that means that Jules, Samara, Levi and Ryan and Jessica probably would've all hung out at one point but Julienne and Levi never got it on because of Levi's love for Jessica?

Unless they're not friends, like they both despise each other for some reason but like to make fun of Ryan or something. Maybe they find each other annoying?

Even though they are related, I don't really see Samara caring much for Levi because she's caught up in herself and her own problems. That makes her sound self-centered, but yeah.

They could all be friends! That could work! But not like a Friends or How I Met Your Mother-type group, just like the occasional hang out after school or if someone goes to a coffee shop and someone else is there, why not talk to him/her? Levi and Ryan, though, are childhood friends (like Shawn and Cory from Boy Meets World).

As for Samara and Levi, they could just like acknowledge that they exist and are cousins, but they don't have a real relationship. Like both of them are too focused on other things to care about each other. That sounds good to me.

We should establish a hang out place, probably 1-2 places they routinely hang out at/things to do, even. Like go-karting or paintballing or something.

Levi/Ryan sounds good. For Samara/Ryan, I was thinking that they've always known each other but never really hung out - Samara's in the smart/popular group and Ryan chilled with Levi but maybe he could be a bit of a jock? I'm not fussed. And then in the first year of sophomore year, they properly meet after escaping the seniors and they become friends from there. I didn't want them to be friends forever like Levi/Ryan but I did want Ryan to be Samara's first love. Even though it was unrequited. Is that the word? I think it is.

In my eyes, they were both jocks but Levi did it because maybe Ryan convinced him to go to tryouts for lacrosse or something? And that's something that makes him more insecure because Jonathan won a football scholarship to Harvard and he just did lacrosse lol. Jonathan is better at basically everything than him.

Your Samara things sounds good! It sounds realistic in this story :)

Ooh yeah, I see what you mean.
So lacrosse isn't as big in Rosaleigh High than football. Friday night football games could be a hangout thing for everyone to do - more like a town event though. Like when they verse their rivals, the whole town is in full support of the team and stuff. But when lacrosse is mentioned, people are like, 'um, what?' Or it's just not as big in Rosaleigh. Or it could be big, but people don't take it seriously as much as football.

Okay, so I feel like we've established what happens in the past pretty well, but we need some sort of general plot for the present - or at least, figure out some of the major plot points so we can work our way to them if that makes sense.

As for posting order, this is what Raveena had before but are we all fine with this?

Lacrosse can be popular, but football can be huge. Like it's a big thing to be apart of.
