He sighed since that wasn't exactly what he had meant, actually, it was the exact opposite. They wouldn't be able to handle the fact that he didn't want to be the guy who hooked up with other girls or drank till he could no longer keep the liquor down. "Mariah..." He quietly called as the bell rang and she quickly made her retreat. Jake tried to follow after her without being too obvious but lost her after some time. With another sigh, he retreated to his locker and gave a half-assed grin to the girl as she walked by. Jake had English next so he gathered his stuff and went off to class.

She gave a shrug once he had noticed the expression on her face, it seemed to be too obvious that she didn't want to go home. Once they stopped at the light, he glanced over at her and she caught his eye. "I.. It isn't like I have a horrible life at home.. It's just terribly boring. I rarely get time to see friends or get let out of the house. The only reason why my dad let me go with you is because you are a business partner. Otherwise, forget it." Lilly felt like she was some sort of pawn that was being shifted around the board whenever it was convenient.
