Veronica knew that the werewolf was discriminating against her, but that was the way business worked sometimes. "I know you hate it, and this guy is going to go to jail. It's going to be all over. That man and woman are going to get justice."

"You're too kind." He grinned over at her as he placed the tray before her on the bed. Taking the fork, he started to eat beside her on the bed. Nick glanced over at the time to see that he had to hurry up to get to class.

Sam sighed and nodded. "You ever think.. maybe they were like us? Maybe they were a human and a vampire together - and maybe some just don't approve of that?" He asked out of curiosity, shaking his head. "We'll get this guy..." He changed subjects, not wanting things to be weird.

Emma smiled and shook her head with a giggle. "No I'm not - I'm only telling you the truth!" She said with a smile and reached over to kiss his cheek. "Our child is going to absolutely adore you someday." She smiled as she started to eat and then sighed, knowing he had to get to classes. She felt weird not going to classes - it wasn't like her.

Thinking about it for a moment, Veronica never realized that that may have been the case. The girl had puncture wounds on her neck from the vampire, but it may have been more of a love bite than a feeding bite. "That.. may be the case and it would make sense with the fact that this werewolf hates vampires. I don't see why he wouldn't go out of his way to kill a vampire and human couple." She continued to piece the puzzle together.

Nick really hoped that his child would grow up to love him, unlike the way he felt growing up. "I really hope so." He admitted with a smile then finished up the omelette. Standing up from the bed, Nick cleared his throat before jerking his thumb towards the opposite side of the hallway. "I'm going to go change and then head to school. I'll see you later, Em, alright?"

Sam nodded and sighed, hating that idea but knowing it was rather plausible. "Yeah - it's just a hunch, but it seems rather likely..." He reached up and kissed her forehead just for good measure and sighed. "There is quite a lot of evidence against this guy at this point... If we find anything that would give us good concrete evidence, we are going to bring this guy downtown and crack him." He promised.

Emma giggled lightly and nodded her head. "I know so." she replied to him, looking up into his face and then sighed, nodding her head with a pout. "I know, I understand. Would you mind picking up some work for me?" She asked and then smiled. "I love you - text me at some point so I'm not so bored all day in bed." She winked teasingly and giggled.

"Let's just hope that the judge believes that when they bring him to court." She sighed back as she moved closer to him, wrapping her arm around him. The thought of someone else hunting them down just because they weren't of the same species was horrifying. People like that needed to be in jail and pay for their crimes. This is why she wanted to become a police officer.

Nick nodded his head since he could just explain to the teacher that she wasn't feeling too well. It probably wouldn't be the best idea to go around saying that Emma was pregnant then have rumors start going around. "Sure, of course. For both, I meant." He grinned while turning to go across to his room. From there, he quickly changed and then took his truck to school.

Sam sighed and nodded his head. "I think the judge will understand. No one should be able to be so prejudice against people like that - no matter what." He said and then kissed her cheek again as they started to walk. He obtained the warrant and then headed towards the car. "Ready baby girl?"

Emma smiled lightly and kissed his cheek. "Thank you baby." She smiled and watched him walk out. She sat up as he left and jogged lightly to the bathroom, throwing up from the morning sickness. She groaned a little and ran a hand through her hair, feeling gross.

Glancing over at him inside of the car, a grin appeared on her face since she was more than ready. "Let's go get this guy." She stated then got out of the police car to approach the porch once more.

Nick drove to school that morning and hoped that Emma was doing alright at home. It obviously wasn't easy for her being pregnant and the morning sickness didn't help any of that. He arrived at class, sliding into his seat in the back. After distancing himself from everyone, Nick didn't have any friends he could talk to other than the girls he used to have occasional hook-ups with.

Sam smiled and winked, nodding his head. "Yes babe. Let's go!" he followed her up and then smiled. He knocked on the door and then waited, holding a hand on the small of her back. He was trying to comfort her.

Emma went back down into bed and fell asleep. She needed the sleep. Early on into the pregnancy and she was already tired. She wasn't feeling good but she knew it would all be worth it. It was all for the better... She loved that she was with Nick again and that everything was going to be okay.

The man opened the door with a growl, wondering what the two officers were doing back already. "We have a warrant to search the house." Veronica stated as she moved past the werewolf to gain access to all the evidence.

Nearing the end of the day, Nick went around to all of Emma's teachers and got her homework. They were all obviously concerned since she was a great student that always showed up to class. He just explained that she wasn't feeling well and left the school to go around looking for a job.

Sam smiled and glared at the werewolf as they walked in and he chuckled lightly. He loved this right now - watching the werewolf get so angry.

Emma slept through most of the day and she finally sat up, rubbing her stomach. She got up and went downstairs to get food, groaning. She turned on the tv and smiled.

"Okay, so, you just sit down while we take a look around. Maybe answer a couple of question while we're at it." She mentioned while starting to go through the man's drawers to find random stacks of papers and pencils.

Nick threw all his school stuff into the back of his truck before heading into to town to find a job. Hopefully, there were a lot of positions available.

(So, what should we do with Emma and Nick? Just to plan ahead haha)

Sam smiled as he started looking around. "Can you tell us where you were two nights ago?" He asked angrily to the man, starting to look through things.

Emma's parents were even home before Nick and she was worried. For all she knew, he would never come home and she would lose him. It scared her. "Mom, Dad, Nick is coming for dinner."

Glancing over at Sam, Veronica gave her an look since she wanted things to go as smoothly as possible. That would require a brawl not to break out between the two men though. "I could, but I don't have to." The werewolf replied back.

Nick went from shop to shop only to be turned down by numerous people. It clearly annoyed and angered the young boy to realize that no one wanted a person like him. Was it because he wasn't friendly enough? Would he never be able to get a job?

Sam sighed as he looked at her and he shook his head. He pulled out his handcuffs. "Then how would you like it if we took you downtown?" He asked him with a small smirk and shook his head. "Those are your only two options."

Emma sighed a little as she cuddled up on the couch, waiting for him to get home. She hoped things were going well. She sighed and shook her head. Things had to go well for them eventually, didn't they? It seemed like it would be now...

[I am sooo sorry - I didn't mean to disregard the end of your last post! Hmm... I'm not sure - brain is drained from school lol any ideas? we need some sort of twist or something, to keep it interesting]

"Not according to my fifth amendments rights, those aren't." The man gruffly replied while glancing over at the human, knowing he could take him out with one fatal bite. Veronica glanced over at the werewolf then back at Sam while signaling for him to put away the handcuffs. "It's alright. The evidence will speak for itself."

[It's alright. I'm not really sure either. Should he meet someone at his new job?]

Sam rolled his eyes as he put the handcuffs away and he looked at Veronica. He was letting her be in charge - but he didn't know what to do with that. He wanted this to be taken care of.

[that sounds good! Like maybe she's someone from before emma, a previous friends with benefits or something? And she tried to get his wild side back?]

Getting out her cell phone, she called the investigation unit to come to down to the address. She continued to look through the drawer to find a journal. Flipping through the pages, she read that he had a deep hatred for vampire and human couples. It documented his stalking of the pair that was recently killed. "Do you mind explaining this?" She questioned, holding up the piece of evidence for him to view.

Going into the last shop on the block, he entered inside to see an empty shop. "Hello?" He called out, wondering if anyone was working. The cashier spot was completely empty but the front door had been open. Looking around, he sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

Sam chuckled lightly and touched Veronica's back possessively. "I don't have to explain anything - it's my right." The wolf responded and Sam rolled his eyes - he knew just how to egg him on too. "Oh - you hate human/vampire couples, do you? Bet it just gets your blood pumping to kill 'em on sight hmm? What is it - were you rejected by a human or vampire once? Is that why you hate our kind?" He asked, pulling Veronica's lips around so he could kiss her. The man let out a growl, rippling from deep within his throat.

Kelly stepped out from the back of the store when she heard a noise and she gasped when she saw him. "Nick?!" She asked happily and rushed up to him throwing her arms around him, pressing her body against his. She was his escape for a long time - a "friends with benefits" type relationship - but of course she wanted more. And now he was back, and she would get him.

Veronica placed her hands firmly against Sam's chest to push him away with a frown, knowing that this couldn't be the right way. It was obvious that the evidence was starting to build up against the werewolf. That was all that they needed to place him in jail for his crimes instead of pushing him further. "Don't provoke him. We're a small room, and, if he shifts, we could be torn to shreds." She warned since she had dealt with his kind before. It was never very pleasant. Clearing her throat, she turned back to the man with a tight smile on her face,"The rest of the unit is on its way here, and there is nothing you can do to stop it."

"Oh, hey." Nick greeted but created some distance between the both of them, not comfortable with her body up against his. Right now, he had Emma at home waiting for him to return with a job, and that is exactly what he would do. Hopefully, their past would only benefit him. "Are you guys hiring? I need a job since I don't plan on going to college." He explained while looking around the shop, thinking that he could make something work out. This was his last chance, and he really wished that she would give him a job.

Sam rolled his eyes as she pushed him away and he shook his head. "Whatever." He said. Sometimes there was friction - sometimes it just sucked being commanded by someone that was supposed to love you. He wasn't simply a follower. The werewolf saw the look. "See - that's why it never works. You humans and vampires - so star-crossed and idiotic. You're not meant to be together - can't you see that? They deserved it." He said, starting to shake.

Kelly walked across to the other side of the counter and leaned over on it, her boobs practically popping out of her skimpy shirt from it. "Well - I think you're in luck, my sweet." She said with a wink. "We aren't particularly hiring - but I'm sure I can work some things out." She said and touched his shoulder. "We should get together sometime - catch up!"
