Jackson just nodded at her words, smiling as he held her close to him. "I will never stop loving you...I promise." He whispered in her ear. He then watched her as she closed her eyes. He thought she was absolutely perfect and was more than happy to have her. Hailey laid there, still shocked that this had just happened. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath in then out. When she heard movement, Hailey quickly opened her eyes, looking at Keith sitting up. She could tell right there that something was wrong, that something was bothering him. "Keith." She spoke softly as she sat up in bed as well. She didn't say anything else as she moved a little closer to him, putting her hands on her back. "Keith..." She spoke once more. She gently rubbed his back before stepping off the bed. She was wrapped up in a bed sheet as she stepped off the bed. She sighed, not knowing what to say.

Ali came out of the shower dressed and looking refreshed. She smiled though it didn't reach her eyes. "So what are we doing today?" she asked as she tidied up the room a little. She smiled and looked outside. "I know there is probably work to be done..." she said though she didn't know how to work on a farm. She had made the decision that if he didn't want to know she wouldn't share and since he didn't ask then she wouldn't burden him with it. She used the only way she knew how to do this and pushed it all away smiling and being the perfect girl... as always. Ali had hoped things would be different here but they weren't... no really different anyways. He still only wanted her the way others had and nothing more. The difference had only been that she had thought he was different. Ali turned to Jackson again and stood there feeling nervous the longer he didn't speak.

Keith sighed feeling her hands on him and he looked down letting his head hang. It was relaxing and yet confusing but then she pulled away. He stood and pulled on his pants. "You pulled away..." he looked at her then away. He didn't know what to do. There was no guide on what to do with the girl that left you when she comes back. Keith ran a hand through his hair. "Hailey..." he moved around the bed and cupped her cheeks. "I'm sorry." he said not knowing what he was apologizing for. But something here between them was wrong and he just didn't get it.

Jackson looked at Ali, scared to speak to her for he feared he would upset her once more. Just looking at her, he cleared his throat as he stood there. He finally realized he needed to talk to her, or else there could be problems and that was one thing he didn't want. "Yeah...there is work that needs to get done. But are you sure you want to do that? Because we don't have to." He reassured her. He wanted to spend time with Ali, but at the same time he did have things to get down around the farm. However, he was willing to sacrifice his work priorities with the priority of spending time with this girl.

Hailey sighed softly when he told her that she pulled away. She truly wasn't trying to make this hard on either of them. It was just she wanted to make sure she didn't screw up anything once again. Watching his every move, Hailey couldn't help but bite her bottom lip as she watched him. When he cupped her cheeks and apologized, she had a puzzled look on her face. Why was he apologizing. Looking at him straight in the eyes, Hailey smiled sweetly at him. "Keith..." She whispered as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "You have nothing to apologize for." She added as she kissed him softly on the lips.

Ali bit her lip and nodded then looked away from him. "I need the distraction anyways." she said and sighed then tied her hair up. She then turned and headed out of the house and towards the back of the house a small sad smile on her lips as she remembered the first time she had seen Jackson with his shirt off. It had shocked her so much to see him like that. She sighed and looked up at Jackson as he came out. "What should I do?" she asked and ran a hand down the front of her shirt. She was hoping that this would be the distraction that she needed.

Keith sighed and pulled her into his arms. He put his head on hers and just stood there breathing her in. "Hailey... I don't know how to do this. I am still scared of loosing you." he said and then looked down at her. "I don't know what to do." he said knowing she couldn't fix it either. Keith frowned. He needed to talk to his mother. she always had the right things to say. "Let's get some sleep." he said and took her hand crawling into the bed with her and pulling her close.

Sorry for not replying, I've been sick lately and didn't reply till now.

Watching Ali for a moment, Jackson wanted to make sure she was truly okay before assigning a task to her. "Well you could start off by helping me in the barn. I need to take out the horses and clean out their stalls." He instructed. He let out a soft sigh as he put his cowboy hat on, moving a little closer to her. "Come on." He spoke softly, placing a hand on her back as he directed her to the barn. When they got to the barn, he began getting the first two horses out, handing her one as he showed her where to tie them up.

Hailey nodded as she looked at him. She knew that Keith was afraid of loosing her, but she wanted to do everything in her power to reassure him that he wasn't. She moved a little closer to him and hugged him. She then pulled away take a moment to just smile at him. When he made the comment about getting some sleep, Hailey nodded. She took his hand and crawled into bed. When he pulled her close, Hailey smiled and kissed him softly on the lips once more. "Good Night Keith." She spoke softly as she kissed him.

Ali did as he said petting the course's nose as she looked into it's eyes. It was no wonder she had always been told that a horse was the only being you could ever tell all your secrets to. Ali sighed and moved back into the barn watching Jackson as he started to clean out the stalls. She then grabbed a tool similar to his and started on the other one. This was gross but it was distracting for sure. Ali bit her lip as she finished. She was so glad that Hailey and Ms. Miller had gotten her some boots and pants. She was sad to ruin them with work though but it was better than ruining her other cloths with wouldn't do much to keep her cleaner from this mess and it would look strange to try to do this work in a skirt.

Keith smiled softly and closed his eyes. They fell asleep pretty easily. He hoped that this was the end of the pain and the worry but somehow he doubted it. Hailey had never really changed and that was what worried him so. The same girl he fell in love with left him and came back only to be the woman he fell in love with again. Keith woke in the morning and yawned looking over at the bed looking for Hailey. He could hear the birds outside the window where the sun shown in and light up most the room.

Finishing up his work, Jackson looked over to Ali seeing that she had to be ready to do something else. He knew for city girl like herself, she would rather be doing something else, other than deal with this dirty place. Walking over to her, Jackson couldn't help but smile a little before getting her attention. "Listen." He said. "We're done here, so we can go work on something else, something less dirty...unless you're done for the day." He said, okay with anything that she decided. If he was to be honest, the one thing Jackson wanted was to make Ali happy and he knew that was going to take some time. He just looked at her, waiting patiently for a response from her.

The next morning Hailey woke up and looked to see Keith beside her. Smiling to herself, she gently made her way out of the bed and walking into the kitchen. She had a small smile on her face as she began making fresh coffee, knowing that Keith would be up in a little bit. When the coffee was done, Hailey pulled herself a cup and stood there looking out the window. She just smiled to herself as she heard noises in the bed. She could tell Keith was waking up. Grabbing another cup out of the cabinet, fixing Keith;''s cup of coffee, knowing how he liked his coffee.

Ali sighed and leaned against the wall. "No it's fine. If I want to stay I should learn how to work." she said and shrugged. "What's next?" she asked. Ali still seemed upset but she acted like she was trying to work through it on her own. Ali honestly didn't like the implications that he thought she couldn't keep up with him on the work but she couldn't keep being mad all the time. Ali just didn't like that she was having to have enough emotions for the two of them. Ali wanted him to get mad, or sad or jealous. Sure she didn't want to see him fight but she wanted to know she meant something, no not just somethings, everything, she wanted to know that she meant everything to him. Because Jackson meant everything to her.

Keith woke up to the smell of coffee. He pulled on his pants and walked out to see Hailey making him a cup. He walked over to her and took the cup from her as she offered it. "Sleep well?" he asked and smiled leaning against the counter. This was weird for him because he didn't know what to do. He couldn't throw himself into this relationship with her like he had before, he had to go slow but he didn't know how to.

Jackson just looked at Ali, a little confused as to where this decision to learn to work. He didn't want to ask though, for he didn't want to upset her. Not moving on to the next working item, Jackson just watched Ali seeing that they needed to talk. He sighed to himself as he walked with her to the barn. "I'm thinking that we need to clean out the stable." He noted as he grabbed a shovel, and handed it to Ali. "This shouldn't take too long." He said as he started working on cleaning out the stable. As they worked, Jackson eyed over at Ali, seeing that something had to be bothering her, and he felt like something was truly upsetting her, and he felt like it was something to do with them.

Hailey finished making Keith's cup of coffee, smiling a little at him. "I did, thank you for asking." He noted. "What about you?" She asked as she made her way towards the fridge to get items out. She started making breakfast, wanting to just have a nice morning with him. Humming to herself as she began cooking. She didn't know what else to talk about with Keith, for she didn't want to upset him or mess up...again.

They walked to the chicken coop and Ali looked up at Jackson as he spoke. She nodded and wiped her brow already feeling hot from cleaning out the horse stalls. Ali watched him work for a moment before she set out and continued to clean too. Once they were done with chores she felt like a mess. "I'm going to shower." She said and then headed inside trying her best not to take all her mess in with her. She left her shoes outside and then headed up to the guest shower with a towel not wanting to talk with Jackson right now. Somewhere between the bed and the chores she had lost her desire to talk. All Jackson could do right now to make this better would be to show her some action. Ali knew it might be ridiculous but she was tired of feeling like he only cared about her presence and the sex. Jackson didn't know her, he didn't want to know where she came from. He didn't want to take the time to pry down her walls. No he was fine with how it was but she wanted more. Ali wanted a deep connection, something real that changed her life. This relationship wasn't life changing, as hard as she was trying to make it that.

Keith nodded. "Yeah." He said and bit his lip. He leaned against the counter drinking his coffee as he watched her. "What do you want out of life now Hailey?" He asked. Keith wanted to know that their dreams and plans would line up this time because he had never expected her to run off and go for the city. He had never seen it coming and this time he wanted the truth of what she really wanted. Keith tried to think of how to make it work this time. He knew that for him to get into this relationship he needed a reason to dive in.
