2,500 tons of awesome

Aleksis heard the noise of the door breaking and smashed through a nearby window. There was someone in the room, a hired guard of sorts by the look of them. Before they could cry out and raise the alarm - not that there was any point everybody would have heard him and Sasha - Aleksis slammed their head into the wall, knocking them out.

Sasha ran through the hallway and into the first room. She punched a guard in the face and then launched herself at the woman in charge before she could get to Alison.

Tendo ran in after Sasha and headed straight to Alison.
"Are you hurt? Where's Sam?"

Alison gave Tendo a look that said of course I'm hurt you fuckwit, but she was too worried about her son to say anything. "I don't know. I haven't seen him... I..." she was struggling not to break down there and then. "Go find him," she said, half snapping.

Aleksis walked into the hallway and took out a guard that was exiting another room.

Sasha tackled the woman to the floor and wrestled the gun off her.

"Come with me." Tendo held his hand out to Alison, wanting to get her out of harm's way.
"There's a friend of the Kaidenovskies outside who'll look after you while I find Sam."

"Go find Sam," Alison repeated, she gave Tendo a little push. She didn't give a fuck about her own safety right now, all she cared about was her son.

Tendo did what she said. He couldn't help worrying about her, but he needed to make sure Sam was safe as well, and Alison could take care of herself now that she wasn't being blackmailed with their son's safety. He hurried out of the room and down the corridor, barging through the next door in attempt to get the element of surprise on his side.

Alison watched Tendo go and, once she was certain he was out of sight, she took herself over to Sasha and the woman. She knelt down to pick up a gun that had been dropped nearby and levelled it with the woman’s head. She wasn’t sure if she had it in her to actually kill her, but she knew that maybe seeing the woman piss herself and cry would make her feel better… and she knew that even though she might not be able to kill her she knew she definitely had it in her to shoot her in her kneecaps.

Sam was sitting in a cot crying his wee eyes out.

Tendo quickly glanced around the room to make sure no-one was hiding, waiting to ambush him, and then rushed over to Sam.
"Hey, Daddy's here now, it's okay." He scooped Sam up out of the cot and hugged him, checking him over to see if he was hurt in any way.

Sasha knew that things would only get worse if Alison shot the woman, so she let the woman land a hit so she could pull back and slam the kidnapper's head against the floor with just enough force to knock her unconscious. Once she'd made sure the woman was out, she got to her feet, wincing a little, and moved towards Alison slowly.
"How about you give me the gun, da?"

(That was a confusing sentence to write. 'she did this she did that this other she did something else...')

Alison shook her head. She had no intentions of giving the gun up. She wiped her eyes with the back of her spare hand. She'd been crying. When the hell had she started crying? She clicked the safety off the gun and shuffled a little closer to the woman.

[ I hate sentences like that]

Sasha kept moving towards her, making sure to make no sudden movements, and in a low voice said, "It's over now. You don't have to do this. She's going to prison."

Alison shook her head again. She wasn’t giving the fucking gun up. Slowly, carefully even, she wrapped her finger around the trigger.

Aleksis stood where he was and glanced at Sasha before he turned his attention back to Alison. “Alison? Give Sasha the gun.”

Sasha made careful note of where Aleksis was and then before Alison had a chance to pull the trigger, she darted forwards and pushed Alison's arm so it was pointing at the floor.

Which was a shame because at that moment Alison had just fired the damn thing. It blasted a pretty impressive hole in the floor boards. Alison dropped the gun pretty much instantly, she was trembling, barely holding herself together, the gun going off like that had sort of broken her in a sense. She let out a small choked sobbing sound. She needed either a hug or a really strong drink, maybe both.

Sasha drew Alison into a hug and looked at Aleksis over her shoulder. She nudged the gun away with one foot before starting to rub gentle circles on Alison's back.

Tendo ran back towards the first room when he heard the gunshot, although he skidded to a halt outside the room and peered his head around the doorway. If one of the kidnappers had a gun, he couldn't take Sam into the room. When he saw what the situation was, he entered the room and crossed over to Alison and Sasha.
"Sam's okay. Don't worry, he's fine."

Alison was getting pretty hysterical. She'd had a really strange few days? or however long it's been since she got kidnapped.

Aleksis decided to go get Sam. He figured the sooner they got him, Alison, and Tendo out of here the better.

Tendo had Sam in his arms. He moved Sam so he was holding him against his hip with one arm, and used the other to reach out to Alison.
"Come on, let's get out of here."

Sasha let go of Alison and headed towards the exit, keeping an eye out in case there were any more of the kidnappers hiding.

Alison looked at Tendo. "Why are you even here?" she asked. "How are you..." She shook her head and reached for Sam.

Tendo reluctantly handed Sam over to her. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder and led her out of the building to where their guide was waiting.

Sasha called their contact and got them to send a car to pick them up.

Alison didn't say anything she just held Sam really tightly and cried while she tried to get him to go to sleep.

The car arrived and took them back to the chopper.

Aleksis sent Stacker a message to check in with him and let him know they were all safe.

Sasha found an empty room and ushered the Chois into it.
"Here, talk. We'll be right outside."
