2,500 tons of awesome

[I just realised this is my last weekend of freedom before I officially become a waitress and I am spending it on the internet drinking tea... how lame.]

Alison stood perfectly still once they were inside it and kept Sam close to her. She didn't know what to say to Tendo. She wondered sort of distantly if she was going through some sort of delayed shock.

(It's not like I'd be doing anything better in your situation. )

Tendo had no idea what to say either. He knew she'd been through a traumatic experience and all the reassurances that sprang to mind sounded pathetic and patronising, so instead he just hugged her again.
"I'm so sorry," He ended up mumbling into her hair.

[ I'm dreading this week and it's only two shifts, when I start properly I'm going to die.]

Alison nodded and pulled away from him so she could put Sam down. Once he was settled, she pushed her hair behind her ears and wiped her eyes again before she turned back to Tendo. "What now?" she asked. She had no intention of telling him what had happened, she knew being blackmailed would have been bad enough, he didn't need to know any of the finer details.

"We go back to the Shatterdome and I face the Marshall." Tendo ran a hand through his hair and sighed.

Alison nodded. "You shouldn't have come," she told him quietly.

"I couldn't leave you and Sam there!" Tendo shot back, "You're the two most important things in my life."

"I didn't mean it like that," Alison said loudly, almost shouting really. It almost brought on another bout of crying. She went to Tendo and gave him a hug, mostly because she needed one. "How pissed is Pentecost?" she asked.

Tendo hugged her tightly.
"I'm not sure. I think he's angry that we went behind his back, but he understands the situation." He though about it for a moment and then added, "I think he's mainly angry that someone dared blackmail one of his people. I hope."

Alison nodded. "I think I might know who did it. Who the woman was working for... She let things slip. I don't know if I should tell you or just tell Pentecost. I feel really shitty and I want to go to sleep." She realised she was rambling and rested her head on his shoulder.

Tendo stroked her hair soothingly.
"How about you get some sleep and I'll contact Pentecost and seee what his orders are."

Alison nodded. "Okay. They um they kept Sam sedated I don't know if he's okay he might need a doctor or someone to check him out..." She pulled away from Tendo. "I feel like I should have probably mentioned that earlier."

"I'll find a doctor. I'll make sure he's fine," Tendo promised. He went over and picked Sam up carefully so he didn't wake him up, and then headed towards the door.
"Sleep well."

Alison nodded and went to sleep.

[Worst post sorry. Distracted watching Serenity and crying over how horrible having a job is ]

Tendo went outside to find Sasha or Aleksis, Sam still asleep in his arms.

Aleksis was outside, leaning against a wall. He had his phone out and was giving Pentecost an update on how things had gone. When he saw Tendo, he gave him a small smile and hung up. The Marshal would be pissed, but for now he was far enough away for Aleksis not to care. "Everything okay?" he asked.

"I think everything will be alright with time," Tendo replied, looking down at Sam.
"Is there a doctor nearby?"

Aleksis glanced down at Sam. "He hurt?" he asked, sounding concerned.

"He's been sedated so I'm gonna get him checked out. Alison should probably have a check up too to be honest," Tendo replied with a slight grimace.

“Fair enough,” he ignored his phone when Pentecost tried to call him again and made a face. “He’s not impressed. Someone has suggested this is connected with what happened to you at Oblivion Bay,” he explained. “I’m not sure about a doctor,” he admitted. “I’ll ask around.” His phone started ringing again, Stacker was pretty persistent when it came to things like this.

Tendo shrugged. "I'm not sure this is Terry's style."
"Do you want me to talk to him?" Tendo nodded at the phone.
