"Well there's nothing so uh I guess you can go," Newt told him.

Tendo smiled to himself, having successfully annoyed Newt, and headed to the door, waving goodbye to Hermann as he left.
"See you later." He let the door swing shut behind him and carried on to Annie's room to ask her to fill in for him for a few days.

Newt was glad to see the back of Tendo. He just prayed Hermann wasn’t going to start up now.

After he'd gotten Annie to fill in for him, Tendo went to find Mako to go over plans for the trip.

Hermann just gave newt a funny look.

Newt didn't look up but new Hermann was looking at him. "Just... don't say anything," he told him darkly.

Stacker was totally with Mako telling her she was good to go to Oblivion Bay.

"I don't understand your relationship," Hermann commented, glad that Newt wasn't annoying him for once.

Tendo knocked on the door and waited for Mako to open it.

Mako looked through the peephole to see who was outside.
"It's Tendo." She looked back at Stacker to see if he wanted her to invite him in to join the discussion about the trip or to make him wait.

"Well that's because you don't understand human beings," Newt said spitefully.

"Let him in," Stacker told her.

"I understand enough to know it's weird."

Tendo entered the room and said, "I hope I'm not interrupting."

"Not at all," Stacker assured him. "I was just telling Mako to gather her things. The pair of you are heading out to Oblivion Bay in the morning."

Tendo nodded in acknowledgement, before asking, "Is anyone coming along, or is it just the two of us?"

Stacker considered for a moment. "Take either Geiszler or Gottlieb with you, might be useful. If not you'll have someone to talk at you on the flight over there."

Tendo chuckled. He thought for a moment about the two scientists' specialities and then suggested, "Geiszler's an engineer as well as a scientist, so he's probably the better choice."

Stacker nodded. "Very well. One of you inform him to be ready in..." Stacker checked his watch. "Six hours time. Gather your things, get some sleep. I expect to be kept up to date whilst you're away."

"Okay." Tendo figured that as he was running back and forth about the Shatterdome, he may as well make one more trip before heading to bed.
"I'll let him know."

"Good," Stacer moved over to the door and bowed his head to Mako. "Goodnight." He turned to Tendo, "I'll see you in the morning, Mr Choi."

And then he left.

Tendo also said goodnight to Mako and then headed back to the lab.

Newt was playing around with something. When he saw Tendo he was tempted to throw it at him.

"Roadtrip!" Tendo exclaimed in a overly exaggerated excited tone.

"Huh?" Newt stared at him. "Sorry, you've lost me."

"You're coming to Oblivion Bay with Mako and I, so pack some stuff and get some sleep because we're leaving in just under six hours," Tendo explained in a more serious tone.
"Marshall's orders."
