Give Up Your Heart Left Broken

Bucky had no idea what was going on in Vienna or that he was a suspect of a bombing all he knew was that he had to hide out for as long as he could. He just wanted to sTay out of the spotlight. He sat in his apartment eating his fruit as he thought about Aubree and Abby and the twins he didn't even know. Not really he didn't even know their names.

Evelyn looked up when she watched Steve walk out of their toddler's bedroom. She turned to her son as she helped him change into pj's " don't worry sweetie mommy still here" She kissed his forehead. She began to sing softly to him like she always did until he fell asleep. "I love you sweetheart" She whispered and kissed his forehead. Getting up Evelyn walked over to the living room after turning off the light and watched the TV. "You're leaving again, I assume" She spoke quietly. "Go find him and bring him to his family "

"He'll come home, sweetheart. He loves you and the girls more than anything. Even Hydra can't keep him away forever." Katherine told her daughter, causing a small smile to tug at the corners of her lips. That's when a text from Natasha came through, causing her phone to buzz in her pocket. Stay out of it. Was all it said, causing Aubree to respond back with a simple question mark. A link was sent back with an article to some news outlet. Aubree's eyes widened slightly in shock as she read over the article, a sinking feeling forming in her stomach. None of this made any sense. Bucky wouldn't do this. Something was very wrong about what was going on. "What's wrong?" Her mother asked, causing Aubree to look away from her phone. "I need you to watch the girls for a few days. I'm going to find my husband." I can't do that. Was her only response to Natasha.

Steve still had his phone pressed to his ear, his eyes trained on the television as he watched the news story play out. It was likely all over the headlines. Everyone was looking for the Winter Soldier. He looked to Evelyn when she spoke. "I can't just sit this one out." He told her. He knew that this would likely go against whatever new rules the government had put into place with the Accords, but he didn't care. He'd be damned if he didn't stick up for his best friend and try to help. "Get in touch with Sharon, and see if she has anything." He said to Sam before hanging up the phone. "Aubree's probably seen the news too...she's going to want to get involved...we're going against the government on this one..."

Bucky could hear people outside running around and talking and he wondered what the commotion was about. He turned on the radio to hear if anything was on that could tip him off. As he finished cleaning up he listened closely as they talked, his Romanian wasn't up to date but he heard Winter Solider just fine and the words panic and chaos and he frowned. He wasn't sure if he wanted to go out there but something was off. Somoney had framed him.

Evelyn crossed her arms over her chest, "I didn't think so," She would have offer to help but he always seem to turn her down and tell her the kids needed her more. So Evelyn didn't bother trying to give any assitance, she also knew Aubree wouldn't sit this one out of course not. "She's probably on her way to an airport or something. Anyway, good luck and I'll see you whenever it is you're coming back." She went to check on Ellie who was sound asleep, she took a seat on her bed and sighed softly.

"You're sure you want to get involved in all of this?" Katherine asked Aubree as she packed some essentials into a duffle bag. It was a good thing that she still had her gear and other things from when she'd been working with SHIELD. She hadn't worked any missions or anything since having Abby, but she didn't think anything of keeping the items on hand. She never knew when she'd need them again. Clearly keeping them had been a good idea on her part.

"I can't just sit out on this one, mom. He's my husband, and something's clearly not right here. He doesn't do what Hydra made him do anymore, and he certainly doesn't go around bombing UN meetings." She sighed, running a hand over her face. "I just hope he's alright." She was going to have to call Steve. She'd do that on her way to the airport. She was catching the next flight out to Vienna. She didn't know where her husband was, but starting where whoever was framing her husband had last been spotted.

"I'll keep you posted. I know that I only just got back from Lagos, but this is Bucky we're talking about. He hasn't done anything like this in years. He hasn't been that man since he met Aubree. I don't think that being away from his wife and kids for a few months is going to make him revert back to being an assassin." Steve said, shaking his head. Something just wasn't adding up with all of this. He only hoped that the Accords wouldn't make things more difficult than they needed to be.

He pressed a kiss to his wife's forehead before he got his things together and headed out. As he drove off, his phone rang. Sam again. "I just got off the phone with Sharon. The CIA had information on Bucky's whereabouts. I'm gonna give Aubree a call in a second. I'm assuming we're going off the grid with this one. Stark definitely won't be on our side." Steve knew that Sam was right. They weren't going to be able to use any quinjets or anything with this one. Going to the airport would, hopefully, be a little less conspicuous.

Bucky had to leave again he could sense it, his picture was plastered all over the city and someone ad taken a good look at him. He knew he had to leave. Gathering his belongings or whatever was left of it he left. Soon after he was blocks away from the run down apartment he saw SWAT teams headed that way. Someone had let it spill that the Winter Soldier lived in a small building. He hoped that his wife wasn't coming but deep down he knew better, Aubree and Steve would come looking for him.

Bucky was stressed out, he wonder who the hell hated him so much to frame him for a terrorist attack. He ran a hand through his log shaggy hair that he let grow out, he wanted to text his wife tell her that he loves her. He wondered opinion he should, he did have an old phone. Bucky was afraid he'd be tracked down.

Evelyn sighed and watched Steve walk out she didn't argue with him, she couldn't stop him. She felt so useless like the only thing she was good at was being a mother. She walked back to her bedroom and lied in bed bored and lonely. She hadn't spent much time with her husband not since Bucky left and that was maybe six to eight months. He spent all his time looking for him and trying to get in touch. Evelyn loved Bucky as a friend and a brother and she knew how much he meant to Steve which is why she hadn't argued with her husband. Lately though she felt like she was just disposable, Evelyn knew that wasn't true but sometimes her mind wondered.

Days went by with no word and she was just so exhausted, Ellie had gotten sick and spent her nights crying. Grant was always the good little boy but lately he seemed sad, probably missed his father. "I miss him too sweetie, I'm sure he'll be back soon."
