Ebony, glad she hadn't been noticed, took her tea and headed up the stairs to be alone in her room. A room she luckily didn't have to share with Lindsey anymore. Because right now she couldn't even look at her, let alone look at her with Zayn. And Ebony just had a feeling that if they still shared a room Lindsey would've been asking her to leave so they could hook up for the night or something. And at least now if they hooked up they could do it in her own room and Ebony wouldn't have to know anything about it until in the morning if Zayn was even still here.
Liam raised his brow when he noticed three things, Zayn and Lindsey were cozy on the couch, Lindsey was wearing his jacket, and a sullen looking Ebony walking up the stairs probably to her room in Zayn's sweater. Which he only knew it was Zayn's sweater because he was pretty sure it was the same one Zayn had been looking for a little over a week ago. "Yea they do seem cozy, and I doubt he'll let her keep his leather jacket. That thing is like more important to him than any other item of clothing he has. Other than maybe this sweater he has. But he seems to think he's lost it." He told her still unsure of what was really going on between the pair on the couch. "I'm just want to see how everything pans out because well because well I never really saw this coming."

"Can we just lay here all night?" Lindsey whispered into Zayn's chest as she rubbed her nose against his chest, cuddling into him more.

"Like on the sofa?" He asked, and she nodded, causing him to shrug his shoulders. "Well, I don't see why not."

Lindsey smiled against Zayn's skin before she yawned softly. "Good, I'm starting to get sleepy."

Zayn didn't realize she was going to try to sleep on the sofa all night. It wasn't exactly the most comfortable place in the world and his back was probably going to ache in the morning, but he didn't have the heart to make her move. Instead, he ran his fingers through her hair, knowing she'd be asleep long before he was. He leaned his back against the back of the sofa, forcing Lindsey to lean forward with him so she was practically lying on top of him. She looked very cozy wrapped up in his jacket with her face nuzzling into his neck, and there was certainly no way he could force her to move now.
Maisie shrugged her shoulders as she watched Zayn and Lindsey getting closer. "People surprise you sometimes, I guess. I don't really know Zayn that well. Actually, I've never talked to him at all. But, maybe he just decided it was time to move onto other things." She paused clicking her tongue to her teeth before she glanced over at Liam. "You can't sit around lonely forever." Maisie knew just how true that was. When her and her high school boyfriend broke up due to fear of long distance, she was upset for quite a while before she realized her sulking wasn't helping anyone. She didn't have much knowledge of the situation, but maybe Zayn just realized it too.

"They sure do." Liam said keeping his eyes on Zayn and Lindsey a little longer. "We used to room together until this year actually because we're both upperclassmen now so we get our own rooms. And I guess I just never thought I'd see the day when he actually moved on from Ebony and with Lindsey of all people." He said not sure if he was right about Zayn moving on or not but from where he was standing it did seem like Zayn was cozy and not unhappy with where he was. Which being Zayn's best friend was kind of what he wanted for him. Even if it wasn't with the girl Liam thought it would be with.

[ I'm just gonna wait until idk we skip to the morning or something with Ebony since I have no idea what to write for her right now. ]

Zayn got tired much sooner than he expected, and he quickly fell asleep with Lindsey on top of him and his fingers running through her hair. It felt nice to be able to lay with someone again. He had always hated sleeping alone, so it was nice to have Lindsey there with him. It would be strange to wake up the next morning in a place other than his bed, but he didn't mind.
"If he's happy, I guess that's all that matters," Maisie said with a yawn, realizing how heavy her eyes were getting. "But, it looks to me like they've got the right idea. I'm going to go to sleep myself, but t was nice seeing you again, Liam." Despite the fact that she was still feeling rejected, it was nice to see Liam again, even if it only meant learning there was and would not be anything going on between them. She sighed to herself thinking that she'd probably end up just like Ebony looking for a rebound to get over someone.

[ We can skip to the morning now. ]

Ebony didn't sleep the best, but at least she when she woke up she felt a little better. Though she wasn't sure how long that would last. Either way she knew she couldn't stay locked up in her room forever, so she climbed out of bed and headed to the kitchen to make herself some breakfast before she had to get ready for class. She'd worry about changing and getting a shower after she'd eaten and felt more awake.
Liam agreed with Maisie on that, being happy was all that mattered. And if Zayn was happy then good for him. "It was nice seeing you again too." He replied with a smile before he bid Maisie a goodnight and headed back to the Alpha house to get some shut eye himself. Clearly they'd been there a lot longer than he'd realized, which was shocking since after everything it'd been an awful party and he had been starting to think it would never end. He felt a lot better when he woke up the following morning though. He hadn't went to sleep totally wasted and actually woke up feeling refreshed rather than sick from all the drinking.

Light shining through the living room window woke Zayn up before he was ready. He was yawning softly when he remembered he'd fallen asleep on the Kappa's sofa after their bonfire/luau party. Lindsey was still asleep on top of him with her face nuzzled into his neck and her chest rising softly up and down. His back hurt slightly, but he didn't want to move and wake Lindsey up when she was sleeping so peacefully. Instead, he was stuck staring at the ceiling until she woke up, certain that a few of the Kappas would be down soon to get breakfast and wake everyone up.
Maisie woke up the next morning refreshed with the knowledge that she was going to have double cleaning duties, which would probably start today. Her roommate, another freshman named Elizabeth, woke up at the same time as her.

"So, I saw you with that Alpha hottie last night," Elizabeth said, raising her eyebrows at Maisie. "What's up with that?"

Maisie shook her head, sighing softly. The last thing she wanted was to be reminded of Liam first thing in the morning. "That's absolutely nothing," Maisie said as she pulled her blanket over her head. "He made it pretty clear last night that he doesn't want anything to do with me. Not romantically anyway."

Elizabeth looked at Maisie with her pouty lips and sighed. She was lucky enough to have already found a boyfriend, but she knew plenty of Kappas who were still searching for a special someone. "That sucks," she said softly as she nodded her head. "But there are tons of other guys out there. Just wait until the next party and I'm sure you'll find someone."

Ebony was boiling some water for her oatmeal and tea when her phone started ringing. "Hello." She said picking it up not even caring who was calling her this early.

"Ebony hey! It's Chase. I was wondering if you wanted to go grab a coffee and some breakfast or something with me this morning. I just know you were really upset last night and know the perfect place to help cheer you up this morning."

"Uh sure, I'll have to shower, change, and grab my things for class but if you want you can meet me outside in like half and hour." She said biting her lip as she turned the water off since she didn't even need it anymore and started to head back up to her room to grab her things.

"That sounds great. I'll see you in half and hour then." Then he clicked off and Ebony was practically running up the stairs to get ready. Even though she knew Chase wasn't seeking anything more than a friendship out of her she was okay with that. He was a nice guy and she kind of liked having a nice guy friend.
Liam headed for the kitchen when he woke up to get himself some breakfast. "Hey did you see Ebony at the party last night?" Harry asked him as soon as he walked in.

"I did a couple of times, she was with Chase for a while and then I saw her when she went to bed right before I left why?" Liam asked though he had a pretty good feeling why Harry would want to know. He hadn't seen her all night and was probably thinking she was just going to come running into his arms now forever now that basically everyone had seen Zayn and Lindsey together. "I was with Maisie though the whole night so I didn't talk to her."

Harry's face fell some before he took a bite of the sandwich he'd made. "I just thought she'd want to spend the night again or something I guess." He said shrugging his shoulder some, "and what's up with you and that Maisie chick anyways? You've never taken a liking to younger girls before."

Liam couldn't help but roll his eyes at how shallow Harry could be sometimes. "Don't you think you should let her go? I mean you know when Zayn sees you with her it pisses him off. And we're just friends. I mean she's pretty and she seems like girlfriend material. But I'm just not ready to attempt to date anyone right at this moment."

Luckily for Zayn, the Kappa girls were walking down the stairs and to the kitchen not long after he woke up, waking up Lindsey for him. He was happy to have her stretching over him so now he could move his back into a more comfortable position.

As she woke up, she looked up at him and smiled. "Good morning," she said, yawning once before she smiled again.

"Good morning," he said as he adjusted his jacket so it wouldn't fall off her and onto the floor. "Did you sleep well?"

Lindsey nodded before pushing herself into Zayn's chest. "I knew you'd be a great cuddler. All the other girls said you'd only be good for a fuck, but I knew that wasn't you."

Zayn chuckled. "I didn't realize you guys talked about me like that."

Lindsey laughed, nodding her head. "We say lots of things about you."
Maisie sighed, nodding her head. She knew it was probably best to try to just forget about Liam. She needed to go for someone who was on the same level as her like Elizabeth did Bryce instead of crushing on people way out of her league. "I guess you're right," Maisie said, popping her head out of the blankets. "But, until that happens I'm on double cleaning duty since Liam rejected me."

"Oh, that's right," Elizabeth said, raising her hand where Maisie saw there was a big Sharpie'd 10 and a heart on the back of her hand. "You don't have one of these."

Maisie shook her head, shoving her pillow over her face. "Unfortunately, no, which basically means I'm Lindsey's bitch, and I'm sure she has something lovely planned." Maisie got out of bed and changed into a tshirt and a pair of shorts. "I better go find her before she kills me."

Ebony was ready to head out for her breakfast with Chase in what felt like no time. Of course it might've helped that she didn't give her hair much attention and just threw it into a bun still wet and her hair was usually what took her the longest to fix. And the whole time she was getting ready Lindsey's doubling cleaning duty never crossed her mind. After she'd showered and got dressed though she grabbed everything she'd need for her class and threw it in her bag and headed back down the stairs to meet Chase out in front of the house.
"Zayn doesn't like to see Ebony with anyone else though. Sure he really doesn't like to see her with me but it's not just me." Harry said, and he did have a point but then again it made sense that Zayn wouldn't want to see her with anyone else if he still had feelings for her. Or even if he didn't it would make sense that he'd be upset if he thought she was moving on like nothing had ever happened with them at all.

"I think he kind of has a right to not enjoy seeing her with anyone though. And least of all you since you're the reason they broke up after a year of being together. I mean really Harry we all know you have some kind of feelings for Ebony, even if it is just because you want to bang her all the time. And you used that against her when you were close to her. Instead of taking her to Zayn at that Halloween party when you saw how drunk she was you took her to dance with you knowing she had a boyfriend who'd get pissed off about it. And while Ebony maybe shouldn't have drank so much you could've been the better person and not made things worse. Plus we both know she told you she wasn't going to cheat on Zayn with you but you always had to make it seem like she was. And then when they were broken up and she was was devastated you let her get drunk again and she slept with you hoping it would help. So I think Zayn's reasoning for not enjoying seeing the two of you together are pretty valid. And honestly Harry she's probably better off if you're not there making things worse for her. Or have you not noticed all the attempts she made the last two nights trying to make Zayn see that she didn't cheat on him. And while she might not entirely innocent in all of this either she does deserve better. And Chase is a good guy and I think he's a lot better for her than you are. Now I have to go attend double cleaning duties with Lindsey since I don't want to face her wrath by not showing up." Liam told Harry heading out to the kappa house.

"They're all good, I hope," Zayn said, chuckling a bit as he looked down at Lindsey. She nodded her head softly and smiled up at him.

"Of course it's good. No one has anything bad to say about the gorgeous Zayn Malik," Lindsey said with a smile. She stretched her arms again before moving off of Zayn to sit up a bit. She quickly turned so she was facing him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. "I've got something quite fun planned for today. Would you mind helping me?"

Zayn looked at Lindsey curiously, his eyebrow raised. "What does this helping entail?"

Lindsey's smile widened and she batted her eyelashes at Zayn. "All I need you to do is go to the Alpha house and grab up every guy who doesn't have a number on his hand."

"For double duty cleaning?" Zayn asked.

Lindsey shook her head. "For something much better."

Zayn knew better than to say no to Lindsey, and he thought it'd be easier to fix up breakfast in the Alpha kitchen anyway, so he agreed to go grab up all the guys.
When Maisie finished brushing her teeth and went downstairs, she found that Lindsey was still cuddled up on the couch with Zayn, sharing a sweet morning kiss. Maybe Maisie was bad at reading signals, which wasn't a long shot considering she thought she'd had a shot with Liam for the briefest of moments, but it did look like Zayn was getting quite cuddly with Lindsey. Maybe he was doing what Maisie needed to do and moving on.

As she hit the bottom of the stairs, Ebony was right behind her, though Maisie didn't know if she noticed Zayn or not. She looked down and noticed Ebony's hand was empty too, which meant she wasn't the only one who hadn't gotten a kiss last night, luckily.

Ebony smiled at Maisie as she walked down the stairs behind her, "morning." She said in kind of a chipper tone, ever since Chase had called and asked her to go to breakfast with him she'd been in a better mood. Partly because it meant she wouldn't have to eat oatmeal for breakfast, partly because she could get out of the house with someone other than leaving alone, and partly because she just really liked having a friend. Sure she had other friends, she was close to a couple other girls in the sorority and Emma, one of the girls in her current math class was awesome too even though she wasn't in the sorority. But there was something about having Chase as a friend that just made her feel good. Maybe it was that he wasn't scared of Lindsey and her wrath when she didn't get her way. Or maybe it was that he was a guy who didn't just want to hook up. And even though that might be kind of hard to believe she believed it.

So when she go to the bottom of the stairs finally she headed right for the door smiling when she saw Chase walking in right as she got to the door. "I'm actually surprised that you're already ready. I figured you'd be fashionable late or whatever it is you girls do that takes you so long to get ready."

Ebony shook her head and laughed a little. "Well I didn't do my hair so that took like half and hour off the time it took me to get ready."

"Well that's fine with me because I'm starved and might've left without you if you made me wait." He replied before motioning for her to walk out in front of him.
Liam had ran back up to his room to get changed and was about to head out when he saw Zayn walking in. "So you and Lindsey looked pretty cozy on the couch last night." He said walking over to his friend. He still wasn't sure what was going on with them and he wasn't really sure if Zayn would even want to tell him what was going on with them if there was something going on. But either way Liam had taken notice on how cozy they looked. He'd also taken note on how after Ebony and Zayn's little spat she seemed really upset which was when he'd first saw Chase and Ebony together, when he was coming to help her out. He didn't really know what was up with Ebony or Zayn but he did hope that they were both trying to move past everything and move on.

Zayn sighed when he saw that Liam didn't have a number written on his hand, knowing he'd have to send him over to deal with Lindsey. He didn't realize that Liam had seen him and Lindsey together, and he hoped that Liam didn't think that just because he was with Lindsey he was going to start bossing everyone around.

"Yeah, we didn't have sex though. It was nice to just have someone to cuddle with." He paused, knowing it was now or never. "Speaking of Lindsey, she said she needed you over at the Kappa house." He pointed towards the number on his own hand. "No number, you know."
When Lindsey hopped off Zayn's lap and Zayn walked out the door, Lindsey turned towards Maisie with a smile on her face. "Maisie, dear, do you have a number?"

Maisie held up her two blank hands and shook her head. "Nope. What is it that you need me to clean?

Lindsey laughed a bit and then gave a quick shake of her head before walking towards Maisie and placing her hand on her back, guiding to sit her on the couch. "You won't be doing any cleaning today. I have something else planned. Now, you just sit here and wait for whoever else doesn't have a number. I'm sure it won't take more than a few minutes."

Ebony shook her head again before she laughed softly at Chase. And she wished she would've befriended him like this earlier than now. She didn't feel like he wanted anything out of it other than friends and that was what she wanted right now too as she as in no position to be in a relationship anyways.

"Well then I guess we should get going. Wouldn't want you to starve to death." Ebony joked attempting to walk out the door and not be stopped by Lindsey since she'd just happened to hear her asking about those stupid numbers. Ebony had forgotten all about that and honestly wanted no part in whatever the hell she had planned.
"It doesn't really matter to me if you did or not." Liam said shrugging his shoulders, "it's not like we're dating or anything." He said laughing a bit, "I was just kind of shocked because she can be kind of, well annoying." He said not wanting to upset Zayn but it was the truth. Even if she was attractive, she was still annoying. "Oh yea I was about to head over there. A heads up though I know you and Ebony aren't getting along and it's not likely that you'll ever get back together. But I kind of think you two should talk, alone. Get everything out in the open and yell or whatever and just try to get to a mutual standing point so neither of you gets hurt anymore." He said wanting what was best for his friends, and Liam truly did think that would be best for them both.

Zayn laughed. "Lindsey's not that bad when she's not talking. She's a little dumb sometimes, but not a totally awful person." Zayn had been doing his best to try to forget about Ebony, but of course Liam brought her up. "I'm not sure either of us really want to talk," he said, rubbing his eyes with his fingers, "but I'll think about it."
It wasn't long after Lindsey left that 5 other Kappa girls were downstairs sitting with Maisie, though none of the guys had showed up yet.

"Can you tell us what's going on?" Cassie, one of the other Kappa girls, asked, her face looking incredibly nervous at what was to come.

"It's just a little game," Lindsey said, looking at the younger girl and smiling. "We need to make sure everyone who joins the greek life is able to make relationships and connect, and since you all were unable to get a kiss last night, you just need a little extra help."

"Of course you wouldn't, because if I did you'd have to stick around for Lindsey's plan and would never be introduced to the best place to get breakfast ever." Chase told her with a laugh.

"True. Well I'm glad I'm not letting you starve to death then." Ebony replied, "because I don't want to take part in Lindsey's plan. I don't want to have to see her with Zayn right now, and who would want to miss out on the best breakfast in town?" She said motioning for him to lead the way since well she didn't know where they were going.

"Have you tried talking to him? And I don't mean yelling and telling one another you hate each other in front of everyone. Like just the two of you sitting down to try and get to the same point which would be when the relationship went south?"

"But he does hate me and he made it pretty clear that he didn't want anything to do with me. All I want though is for him to understand that I love him. And that I didn't sleep with Harry because I wouldn't betray him like that. Harry came onto me a few times and I turned him down. And I'm sure someone else know what happened at that Halloween party better than I do. But he doesn't believe me and he hates me so I don't think we're going to be talking about anything ever."
"Trust me on this one, I don't think she'd be sleeping in your sweater or trying to drink herself into oblivion because she thought you were going to hook up with her sorority sister if she didn't feel something or have some kind of pent up feelings she wanted to get out." Liam told him knowing he wasn't some relationship expert or anything, but he did like to think he could give good advice. Plus well he didn't think either of them would ever fully move on unless they got everything out in the open.

"Here, I'll make a deal with you," Zayn said as he turned to Liam, looking at with his arms folded across his chest. "If I agree to talk to Ebony, you can never talk to me about her ever again. No offense, but I'm sick of hearing about it from everyone." Zayn released his arms and clapped his hands together. "You better get to the Kappa house now. Everyone else is headed over there and Lindsey will kill you if you're late."
The thought that Lindsey had another game planned was absolutely terrifying, and the other girls seemed just as nervous as Maisie was. The last time Lindsey planned a game, Maisie had been rejected, and knowing Lindsey this game was going to be equally as embarrassing and dream crushing.

Ebony raised her brows slightly when Chase walked her back to the Alpha house rather than what she was expecting. Which was a small diner or something she'd never heard of that made amazing bacon and eggs or something. "What is this?" She asked looking at him, "I thought you said you knew the perfect place to cheer me up. Which I didn't think would be here." She said slightly confused.

"Well I was planning on taking you to this diner I used to go to when me and my mom came to visit my brother while he was here a couple years ago. But it turns out they're closed, I figured I should look it up to show you the menu or something while we walked but when I got to the website it said they'd closed, so I figured that I'd bring you back here and make you breakfast since I had promised breakfast and I can make a mean breakfast. Plus I promise to help cheer you up. We can have smiley face waffles. Or if you don't want waffles I know how to make this amazing breakfast pizza type thing." He told her causing her to smile a little.

"That's really sweet. And smiley face waffles sound fantastic." She said with a small laugh before they walked in.
Liam held up his hands and nodded his head. "It's a deal then." He said nodding his head and turning to actually leave this time and head to the kappa house. Though clearly if everyone was talking to him about Ebony it meant something. Like he should talk to her. Which he'd agreed to so at least that was good. Enough about her though, now that he was on his way to the kappa house for whatever it was Lindsey had planned he was anxious and slightly nervous since he doubted it would be good. He just felt like whatever she wanted them to do was going to be painstakingly annoying or something else. But he'd find out when he got there he supposed.

With Liam out of the kitchen and the house seemingly quiet for once, Zayn was excited to be able to take a breather. Lately it felt like everyone was on the opposed as him and he was going it alone. Even his friends, it seemed, neither cared about nor understood what he was going through. He had spent many long months mourning the loss of his relationship with Ebony, and now that he was finally making an effort to get over it, they wouldn't have any of it. It was like they wanted him to be happy without her for so long, but now that he finally was they couldn't handle it.
It looked like the Alpha guys had already made their way over, but Maisie still hadn't seen Liam yet. She wondered if he had found a way to talk himself out of it or just bailed completely like Ebony apparently had.

"Well, boys," Lindsey said, clapping her hands together to get their attention. "I'm sure you're expecting to be cleaning today, but I actually have something much better planned. I already told the girls that we need to make sure all greek members are sophisticated members of society who can go on to succeed in the future and create successful relationship. Since none of you were able to get a kiss from your partner last night, it seems that's something you need to work on.

Chase walked Ebony into the Alpha house and smiled. "I figured they'd be a good choice. They always cheered me up some when I was younger and with you being down in the dumps lately I know you could use some cheering up." He told her heading towards the kitchen totally unaware that Zayn was even at the house.

"Well let's hope they do the trick then. Though I can't say I've ever been big on waffles. I have always preferred pancakes but maybe it's time to move on to bigger and better things." Ebony joked not seeing anything wrong with waffles, and surely there was enough room in her heart for both breakfast foods. She stopped in her tracks and bit her lip though when she spotted Zayn. She hadn't expected him to be there, honestly she didn't know if he'd been here all night or just got back this morning. Either way though she hadn't expected him. Really she'd expected he'd be with Lindsey this morning helping her with her plans for everyone who didn't have a number written on their hand.
Liam arrived to the kappa house kind of late, like right when Lindsey started to give her speech about what the day held, and it made him roll his eyes honestly. Of course this wouldn't be about cleaning and rather some weird ploy involving people and their relationships. Which made him feel bad again about not kissing Maisie because not only had he probably made her feel rejected, but now they were both having to suffer through this. And he wasn't really sure which one was worse, not kissing her and making her feel rejected and having to suffer through this, or if he would've kissed her and everything would've changed between them when he wasn't quite sure he was ready for that.

Zayn heard the sound of footsteps coming to the kitchen and turned to find Chase and Ebony walking into the kitchen. Liam had probably told her to come talk to him or something, which was not at all what he wanted. He'd made the deal with Liam but he still didn't see the point in it all. He gave ebony a quick up and down, noticing her blank hand. He then pointed to his own hand and tapped the 10 twice. "No number," he said shortly. "Lindsey needs you."
"Let's start with a little survey," Lindsey said, looking out at the group with her hands folded together. She looked so smart and sophisticated when she stood like that, though what was going on was anything but. "If you have kissed a Kappa or Alpha before, drunk or sober, raise your hand."

Maisie didn't even have to think about raising her hand, because that was the whole reason she was in this mess, but a few if the others raised their hands, which wasn't a surprise considering how much time they spent drunk together.
