For bands? Considering the UK is waaaay smaller than the US, I'd say probably easier than the US. Small bands play in student unions so that probably definitely helps with promoting their popularity, and a lot of it is word of mouth (plus Facebook, etc.)

I only know those really cliche, stereotypical American schools which I assume are not entirely true to reality.
What age are they going to be? 16-17/17-18? With the British school system, we'd have the option for them to be either in college and doing a course (or their A-Levels) or sixth form where they'd do their A-Levels, where in their first year they'd do four subjects and their second year they'd do three. We also start high school at 11, so if we
did go for the British school system, they'd have had five years of mandatory education together, with their voluntary two years making the total be seven years that they've known each other in the same school (and after the five years and you get into sixth form, teachers get super-friendly and super personal). Also, with Joey, football is really big over here, like massive and everyone gets drunk when it comes to football because it's just
the sport, so yeah, just throwing that out there.
