The Other Side

(Soo I'm gonna make Imari an Espada the one who took Nel's place if that's okay(: )

Imari sighed running a hand through her hair softly. She knew she wasn't like the other Espada. She didn't have her real bones and such on the outside. Only when she broke the limits and transformed did you see them. Looking down at her feet, she didn't know what do to. She pulled her feet up to chest, laying her head down on her knees. She kept like that seeming unfocused. She looked around and figured she's go talk to her only friend; Grimmjow. She stood up and began to walk towards the place where he always was.

Byakuya looked around, the same look on his face as always. He always looked unamused. He heard his lieutenant call his name out. "Proceed." He said. Watching as Abari came out to talk to him, he nodded hearing the report. He hadn't smiled in years, nor did he think he ever would. As a teen, he had smiled all the time. Then, his sweet sweet wife had passed. He looked at his hands. He looked back up commencing to do his paperwork he had left undone.

[I hope you don't mind but I'm going to make it that instead of one lieutenant to every captain there will be two. ]

Grimmjow was leaning against a wall, hands in pockets and looking into the distance with a scowl on his face. He hated this place so much, he wished he could leave however he'd learnt better than to mess with Lord Aizen, Grimmjow secretly couldn't wait for the soul reapers to defeat Aizen, it was only a matter of time and that Ichigo kid had a lot of spunk, something told Grimmjow he'd go far.

Sachi had just gotten back from a long mission in the human world and she had missed her squad, she straightened her lieutenant badge as she made her way to her barracks. She wanted to take of flash stepping there but she didn't want to show anyone how anxious she was to get back. When she finally arrived she greeted her squad members, hugged Renji and then continued to the Captains office where she threw the door open with a grin, "Nyah, Bya-kun I'm back~" Sachi and Byakuya were childhood friends, when the were children Byakuya use to get into a lot of fights because other children would pick on Sachi, in the end Sachi decided to learn to fight her own battles and followed Byakuya becoming one of his lieutenants.

Imari hummed as she jumped down from the top of a building. She ended up right beside Grimmjow. She poked his outstretched tummy. Giving him a smile as she said, "Hello." Grimmjow was her only friend and the only one she got along with. He wasn't as bad as he gave off to be. He was a teddy bear on the inside. She liked that about him. Although, most Espada's tried to pick on Imari. She tried as hard as she could to make them stop. Noitra was especially bad about it.

Byakuya looked up blinking, seeing his door thrown open. He saw Sachi and gave a low chuckle. He didn't smile though. There was a hint of one on his face however. "Sachi." He greeted. He had to be cold in front of others. She knew that. Otherwise they would never get off his back. When Sachi and him were alone though, he liked to give her smiles here and there. He then said, "How was your mission?" He asked her, raising an eyebrow as he motioned for her to sit. He wanted to go and practice his bankai, but he could and would wait. He didn't mind it too much.

Grimmjow turned to see Imari and he nodded his greetings "God, this sucks, there's never anything to do, only train, train and more training. Don't get me wrong, I love to fight but this is fucking pathetic." Grimmjow was getting stir crazy and wanted to go out, maybe to the human world, humans were funny and weak. "Is Nnoitra still giving you shit?" Grimmjow had gotten into a lot of fights with Nnoitra behind Imari's back. That guy pissed Grimmjow off so much.

Sachi smiled, taking a seat and folding her legs under herself, her long hair falling down her back and splaying out on the floorboards. "Akuma no Yuwaku was a sneaky Hollow, I can see why a lot of the previous Soul Reapers had been killed by its hand. However in the end it only took myself to kill it, they sent me and two other lieutenants to find and kill it, hardest part was finding the Hollow." Sachi finished talking about her story, she had after all been away for nearly a year.

Imari smiled at him gently. She giggled at his words and said, "Well, I agree with you there Grimmy." She said. Humming, she thought of what they might could do. It sure got boring here. She hoped they sent them out to the other side. She didn't want to fight the soul reapers, but she must. She hated that. Perking up as she heard his words she sighed. She didn't answer. She could tell they had gotten into fights and she wanted it to stop before Grimmjow ripped his ass a new one.

Byakuya kept it hair always the way it was. He never let it grow, and he never let it down. He listened to her story nodding. "Well, It's good it's been dealt with." He told her. He sat as he always did. His arms were in his lap. He knew she had been away for almost a year and hadn't smiled in nearly a year. Everyone knew he was in a bad mood and backed off. He said, "It's good to have you back." He nodded.

Grimmjow grunted at his nickname "You know I hate it when you call me that," he huffed, but he knew it was a lie, he liked it when Imari used his nickname, besides, it was better than being called Kittyjow. His face flushes at the thought of his other nickname and he facepalms himself. Grimmjow changes his thoughts, sighing "what happens when Lord Aizen fights the Soul Eaters," he lowers his voice "if they win, they'll kill us all won't they? unless we escape before then?" Grimmjow pondered, glancing around.

Sachi smiled, she knew Byakuya well enough to know that he had missed her. She was back now and excited, "I've gotten better at using my bankai as well," she stated with a fierce grin. Squad six were the only division in the whole of the Soul Society where the captain and both lieutenants had bankai's an impressive feat if Sachi did say so herself.

Imari smiled when he huffed knowing he liked it. She giggled when she saw him flush and said, "Thinking of the other nickname?" She grinned softly. Sighing as she heard his words she looked up at the sky. "I dunno. I sure hope not. Not all of us are bad. Many of us just don't know what else to do." She murmured. She looked down and said, "In a way we're just like Soul Reapers. We just want to get stronger." She smiled. She heard a snobby laugh, turning around to see Nnotria. She groaned and said, "Leave us alone." She told him frowning.

Byakuya knew she knew and that was enough for him. He couldn't be going soft on anyone now. He heard her achievement and said, "So have I." He told her. He had another hint of a smile on his face. "Good work." He told her gently. He knew his squad was the only squad where both lieutenants knew their bankai's. He felt proud of that factor.

Grimmjow rolled his eyes when Imari mentioned the other name. But he had to agree with her, sure he could be an asshole but he was only like that as a defence for himself. When Nnortia showed up Grimmjow let out an annoyed growl and pulled Imari behind him before crossing his arms and glaring "What do you want Nnortia?" Grimmjow was tense, he hated the other Espada.

Sachi nodded her head and looked down at the paper work, "I'll leave you to it then?" she caught a fleeting glance of Hisana and picked up the picture. Sachi had introduced Hisana and Byakuya, they both had fallen in love and Sachi's heart had shattered, but Sachi's feelings didn't matter. All that mattered was that Bya and Hisana were happy. Sachi missed Hisana dearly. Placing the photo back down she got up and walked out of the office, "See you later Bya-kun." she said before closing his door.

Imari giggled smiling. She didn't mind it. She knew the real him and that was all that mattered. She smiled up at him. She sighed when Nnortia showed up. She didn't like him at all. She had her sword at her side as always. She blinked when Grimmjow pulled her behind him, looking around him at Nnortia. Nnortia laughed and said, "Just taking a stroll. What? You wanna start something?" He asked. "Kitty-chow." He said using his own horrid nickname for the guy.

Byakuya nodded. "Unless you want to help." He said shrugging. He saw her look at Hisana noticing her pick up the picture. He felt a sadness overwhelm him. He had loved her. He had. He sighed nodding. He then said, "Meet me again tonight. We need to discuss some things." He told her. A bigger hint of a smile on his lips. He watched as she left, and continued to his work. He finished up pretty soon and went out to go practice.

Grimmjow smirked, he loved it when Imari giggled, it was one of the most innocentest things he'd ever heard. When Nnortria called him Kitty-chow his eyebrow twitched in annoyance. "Kitty...chow..." Grimmjow's face went bright red in fury but he managed to keep himself in check "Like I'd waste my time with a creep like you," Grimmjow cursed, tugging Imari with him as he dragged her away.

When Byakuya mentioned Sachi helping him with his paperwork she scrunched up her nose and left with a giggle, when she heard Byakuya tell her to meet him later on she nodded her head, wondering what he wanted to discuss. "Alright, see you then!" Before leaving to catch up with the rest of her squad.

Imari hummed softly as she saw his smirk smiling gently to herself. She hid her mouth when Nnortia called him Kitty Chow. She then said, "Grimmjow..Come on." She mumbled tugging on his sleeve. He didn't need to start a fight. She heard his words to Nnortia and sighed in relief. Nnortia wasn't done though. He threw his bigass scythe. She saw it cut Grimmjow. She got angry. She didn't get angry often. When she did though. She turned around, grabbing her sword and held it to his throat before he could blink. "Enough." She said, her voice cold as ice.

Byakuya smiled softly once she had left, allowing himself to do so. He liked her giggle. It was one of the only things that made him smile. She made him smile. He found it quite odd. He nodded waving a goodbye. He finished up and headed to the outskirts where he said, "Bankai." He began to practice with his Zenbon Sakura.

When Nnortia attacked Grimmjow growled, dodging it in the neck of time but still receiving a small cut, "get lost Nnortia, can't you see no one likes you." Grimmjow hissed but blinked when Imari got mad. He saw Nnortia hesitate before pulling back and Grimmjow sighed, turning his back and walking away. "Imari, come on, like you said, he aint worth our time,"

The time passed quickly and Sachi had sat their laughing, she was happy that she could hang out with her squad again and before she realized it it was getting later in the evening, she decided to go find Byakuya again and she quickly found him in the training ground, "you wanted to talk to me?" Sachi asked, breaking the silence.

Imari really didn't like Nnortia and was actually pretty sick of him. She kept her eyes trained on him. He looked down at her surprised, and then frowned pulling back. She sheathed her sword, turning and walking with Grimmjow. "He irritates me." She muttered. She hated getting mad though. She then calmed down gently.

Byakuya practiced and practiced until he got tired. He sat down watching the stars. He heard Sachi and looked up at her, "Nothing much. Thought I would catch up." He said giving her a smile. He sighed looking at the sky again and murmured, "Why? Am I bothering you?" He asked blinking.

Grimmjow nodded his head as they finally got out of site, moving across the sand until the were in the middle of no where but Grimmjow still knew where to go back too. He laid down in the sand, this place was boring, it had nothing. "Have you ever been curious about going to the human world?" Grimmjow himself had been a few times on missions but he knew Imari never had been.

Sachi nodded her head, "Of course you aren't bothering me, I just thought you wanted to discuss a few things with me, that's all," she teased, taking a seat beside him and glancing over at him with curiosity and wonder. When Sachi had first joined the Soul Reaper academy she had surprised Byakuya, but what he didn't know was that she joined with a vow to always protect him, no matter what happened her loyalty was with him.

Imari put her sword away sort of. She watched as he laid down, blinking lightly. Sitting down, she pulled her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around her knees, and setting her chin on the top of her knees. She sighed and said, "Sometimes, but then I wonder if it was ever meant for Hollows in the first place to go to the human world.." She trailed off lightly. She closed her eyes and hummed softly and said, "Hmm, that was slightly stupid." She smiled softly.

Byakuya chuckled and said, "Wanted to ask how the trip actually went." He said looking at her. He moved his hair away from his face lightly. He tilted his head at her and murmured, "I didn't think they'd ever make you my lieutenant." He chuckled again and said, "I'm not complaining though." He smiled at her gently. He didn't matter what happened to himself. He had her and no one else. Rukia, yes, but not in the same way.

Grimmjow listened to Imari before sighing softly "We aren't Hollow's any more, not true Hollow's anyway, besides I think you'd love it there, there's so much to do, not like here. The people seem bearable as well, they don't pay any attention to you, they're to busy with their own lives, it's a nice change," Grimmjow had gone there for a little while, disguised as a human to get some information about the Soul Society. If he was being honest he had enjoyed it there, he felt free.

"Ahh, the trip, it was great, mostly, Takeshi thought it'd be a great idea to pretend we were going out, worst mistake ever. I mean it worked, we ended up catching the Hollow because it believed we were just a harmless couple but..." Sachi's voice trailed off and she facepalmed. Takeshi was one of the other lieutenants that had been sent to sort out the matter as well, he was the second lieutenant to Kenpachi Zaraki. "Takeshi's an idiot." she finished her train of thoughts with a shake of her head.

Imari just watched him hearing the way he talked about it. "It sounds much nicer than here." She said. She sighed running a hand through her crimson hair. She turned to look at him again and wondered what he was thinking. "What are you thinking, Grimmy?" She asked him, as she closed her eyes gently to just listen to him. She didn't mind just listening. She wouldn't mind her eyes being taken away from her.

Byakuya listened to her raising an eyebrow and chuckled hearing her say he was an idiot. "yes, he is." He said. Then said, "Bald idiot at that." He shook his head and watched her and said, "Well, I'm glad it was a success." He said. "One more filthy rodent out of this world." He nearly spat. A hollow had killed his wife. He didn't like talking about it. "Glad you're also home as well Sa." He said.

Grimmjow nodded his head, "maybe when this is all over I'll take you there," she stated, looking at Imari from the corner of his eye and giving her a fleeting smile, one he barely ever did. Grimmjow shrugged at her question, "nothing special," he half lied, he had been thinking about Imari for a moment and she was special.

Sachi gave Byakuya a soft smile before nodded her head, "I'd hope so," she teased "so what's changed around here in the past year? What have I missed? Fill me in," Sachi declared, clapping her hands.

Fuck! I thought Ikkaku's first name was Takeshi lmao dammit)

Imari smiled her eyes closed again. "Maybe then we won't feel insignificant." She told him her voice soft. She looked up at the sky again. She saw his smile and smiled widely. She pokes his tummy again gently. Upon hearing his words, she nodded and said, "Oh. Hm." She said before giving a giggle.

Byakuya nodded and smiled gently when he heard her teasing him. He chuckled. "Aizen's out, but I'm sure you knew that." He said. "Squads are getting to where they're training more. Kenpachi's the same as ever. I apparently got meaner." He said rolling his eyes. He ran a Hand through his hair.
