Shaking his head, Steven couldn't hold something that like against her since it wasn't exactly her fault that he didn't have a place to sleep. "It's fine. At least I have the stars to keep me company." He gave a small shrug trying to make her less worried about his situation.

Lily held her breath as he reached out to tuck a piece of loose hair that had fallen from her ear, letting a light blush cross her face. This was really weird. "It's.. It's okay," She responded with a small smile since she hadn't really minded.

"That doesn't mean I have to like it anymore. Maybe Mason will be over when we get to my house and you can stay home with him." She grinned at the boy.

Mason reached upwards towards Lily, he didn't know what he had planned to do because suddenly he lost his balance and was tumbling over. He started laughing violently from where he lay, sprawled out on their kitchen floor.

He wasn't sure how her friend would feel about some random guy coming to his house to sleep. "I don't know about that.. I would feel like I'm inviting myself," Steven admitted with a slight frown to his face because it would have been nice not to sleep on the ground but he didn't want to impose either.

Seeing him fall over, she started to laugh and leaned back onto her heels to sit on the ground. Whatever he had planned to do completely backfired on him, leaving him looking like an idiot. "Come on. Let's make those brownies." She stood up to hold her out her hand for him.

"He shouldn't mind, Mason loves making new friends. Besides, you wouldn't be inviting yourself, I would be inviting you." She grinned at the lost boy.

Max was still laughing as he tried to grab Lily's hand. Instead of getting up, he ended up pulling her down onto him. It hadn't been intentional but he wasn't complaining either as his body was pressed against hers.

Looking at her a little doubtful, it seemed like she wasn't about to let him sleeping on the ground for the night. "I don't know.. maybe. Are you sure he won't be uncomfortable?" Steven asked still a little bit skeptical of the whole entire thing.

Instead of pulling him up, she was pulled down, practically crashing right into him on the floor. At least his body provided some cushioning. "Gosh, you're supposed to get up not pull me down." Lilly poked his chest with her pointer finger, trying to cover up how flustered she was.

"I'm pretty sure he won't mind. That's my house right there," she pointed up ahead. She grinned at him and grabbed his wrist to pull him along.

"Hey! I didn't plan this," he chuckled. Suddenly there was a gasp and he looked up to see Leila standing in the doorway. "What the hell?! That's my sister!"

Mason and Lily quickly scrambled apart. "It's not what it looks like, I swear." He said to Leila. "Whatever, there's a friend of mine outside and he needs a place to crash, so go meet him." She jabbed her finger in the direction of the front door. He headed outside to meet said friend and didn't see anyone.

Without being able to say another word, she pulled him along towards her house, practically tripping on the way there. "I'll just stand here," He told her as he stood near the steps of her porch. Steven heard a yell coming from inside and started inside, wanting to see what had happened. It seemed like something had occurred between the boy and girl, assuming her sister and friend.

She shook her head at him before hearing Leila's voice belt throughout the house. Shit. Jumping apart from Mason, Lily looked over at her sister with an apologetic expression completely embarrassed as to what had just occurred. "I fell. That's it, I swear," She said at the same time as him. They were both just spouting anything that they could. Lily got to her feet, brushing off the dust on her jeans before following behind to see who this new guy way. "Um, Lei, there's no one here," She said as she looked around, peeking her head outside of the door.

Steven was about to introduce himself before feeling the two walk through him... literally. Instead of bumping into him, they just went straight through the confused boy. "Leila... I don't know why this is happening to me.." He started to panic as she looked over at the two others who just looked around for him. It seemed like she was the only person who could even tell he was still alive.

Leila watched as the other two walked through Steven's body, looking for the boy. Her eyes went wide but she quickly recovered with, "His mom must have been able to come and get him after all." She prentended to read a text on her phone. "Yeah, he texted me and said she picked him up. So, Mason, you can just go home. Now." Mason stared at her awkwardly but he left

Leila let Lily walk into the house before whispering to Steven, "What the hell? Surely I'm not imaging you. I know I have a great imagination but it can't be that great." She raked an agitated hand through her hand and paused. She reached out to touch the boy in front of her.

Mason left, worriedly, and headed for home. His mind was in a crazy whirlwind. He didn't understand what had happened at all. His thoughts kept racing between Leila's mystery friend and the kitchen incident with Lily. Lily. He'd never found her interesting before but now.. He didn't know what to think.

Steven saw the surprise on her face that conveyed the same amount as he felt before composing herself to make up some lie about him leaving. It really seemed like the other two hadn't noticed his existence.. which would make sense considering what happened back in the park. He was starting to be worried about if he had some sort of condition. Was there any condition that made a person invisible? "I don't know.. I see everyone but it's like they don't see me." When she reached out, she touched him but didn't go right through like the rest.

Lily looked over at Mason who seemed to be equally concerned about her sister's mystery friend. What was going on with her? Then, she started to talk to herself and then reached out to grab the midair... Maybe she was just really tired.. "Lei, why don't you go lay down for a bit?" She asked with a small smile since she even had some issues to work out. Mason was number one on that list.

Leila jumped at the sound of Lily's voice. "I thought you had went inside." She stared at her sister, bewildered. "Laying down sounds like a great idea." She sent Steven a look that said, follow me. Leila made her way to her bedroom and locked the door after he followed her in. She made her way to her bed and plopped down violently. "I can't be going crazy," she groaned.

Mason stared at his cellphone. Should he call Leila? Possibly Lily? He was just so lost and utterly confused, by the entire night.

Steven followed her upstairs to enter inside of what seemed like her bedroom. He looked around since he had never been inside of a girl's room before thinking that it was pretty organized before sitting down on the ground after she plopped onto the bed. "I don't think you're going crazy but I'm the kid that no one sees so.."

She gave a nod to her sister with a small smile before watching her go inside of her bedroom. Going inside of the living room, Lily sat down on the couch, pulling out her phone to see if she had any text messages. None.. Hey.. What did you think that was about.. with my sister?She texted Mason thinking that if anyone knew it would have been him.

"But why can't anyone else see you? Why can I touch you?" She sat up and stared at him on the floor. "At least, no you can stay without me getting in trouble." She tried to make a joke amidst the odd circumstances. "You can sit up here with me." She patted the bed next to her.

Mason jumped as his phone went off. He checked to see their was a text upon his screen from Lily. He was slightly nervous to open it but did it nonetheless. He was kind of relieved when it was talking about Leila but also disappointed that it wasn't about the incident. He managed a quick reply of, I'm not entirely sure. She was drawing a picture of someone at the park earlier but when I looked around there was no one.

"I know as much as you do, which isn't much but.. All I do know is that you are the only one out of every person that has passed me," Steven explained as he stood to sit down beside her on the bed. It was odd since he didn't slip through this either but when it came to other people it was a different story.

Pulling her knees up to her chest, she silently waited for Mason to reply before feeling the light buzz. A small smile made its way to her face unknowingly even though they weren't even talking about the incident. Weird, well, she's getting some rest now at least. Maybe she's making up some imaginary friend to replace you :P

Leila reached outwards to touch Steven's cheek and made contact with what felt like very solid skin. She wondered if maybe she had made it all up but she knew that wasn't the case. It made her slightly sick to her stomach, the thought that she might just be crazy.

Ha! As if. I am completely and totally irreplaceable, he replied. Which he totally believed the statement to be true. He laid back on his bed as he waited for her reply, smiling up at his ceiling.

Feeling her hand against his cheek, he placed his hand over hers feeling the contact with a sigh,"You feel like any other regular person." Steven wasn't sure how to approach the situation since it wasn't like he had this problem before. "You're not crazy, Leila, I'm sure of it."

She read the message before completely rolling her eyes at his statement. Completely irreplaceable, huh? ...Maybe. Lily replied back before laying down on her side with a sigh.

"Then how can I be the only one who sees you? My sister and my best friend clearly think I'm crazy." Leila mumbled. She had picked up a stuffed animal, a pink elephant Mason had brought her for Valentine's Day a few years back, and clenched it to her chest.

Well, I'd like to believe so. The thought definitely helps with my lack of self-esteem, Mason sent back. He wondered if they were going to act like the kitchen incident never happened, if Leila would even let it go, or what.

That was definitely the golden question that neither of them could answer: Why could she see him when no one else would? "I don't know.. Maybe I'm wearing some invisibility cloak and you can see past it." He offered as a slight joke just wanting to make her feel a little bit better about the situation.

She felt the light buzz and opened up the message, letting a small smile form. Now, how would she bring this up? Lily paused for a moment before starting to text back Um, so.. I don't know how to bring this up but.. I think we should talk about what happened.. in the kitchen.

"Heh," Leila giggled, "I know that's definitely not a Harry Potter reference." Deciding that she may as well get comfy, she adjusted on the bed. "You ought to get comfy too. It's not like anyone is gonna walk in here and see you." She flashed him her best grin.

Mason's eyes went wide at her text and he gnawed at his lip, not entirely sure what he should say. He let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair, and replied, Honestly, I'm not sure what to say... I mean, what does one say about that kind of situation?

Steven cracked a small grin since it just so happened to be one,"At least I got a small laugh from you." Watching her adjust, he moved a little as well, placing his leg onto the bed. "I'll just sleep on the carpet for the night." He gave a small shrug since it really didn't bother him.

She should have figured that there wouldn't be anything that they could say other than blushes and nerves. I mean.. Should we ignore it.. or, I don't know, think about it? I mean, my sister probably wouldn't be thrilled to have her little sister and best friend together..
