Still Here.

"No, it's okay. What can I do with an invisible guy?" She joked and hoped he would take it lightly. She gave out a quiet yawn and her eyes fluttered shut. "Today has been odd," she mumbled, "We both need to get some nice comfy rest so we can figure everything out."

His heart thudded harshly in his chest at the sight of her text. Being together? He didn't know anything about being with anyone. Dating wasn't really something he partook in, with no real reason at all. His mind played with the thought of dating Lily; it wasn't a bad thought at all. Well.. We can at least think. You know.. If it's something you wanna do, we don't have to tell Lei.. We can always just, you know, try it out.

He shook his head with a small smile even though he knew that she was just joking,"Even though I'm invisible, I can still touch you, so I think that it would be better to just sleep on the floor. I've always found the carpet to be comfortable anyway." Seeing that she was pretty exhausted, he moved off the bed to settle down onto the ground with a sigh. Steven found himself pretty tired as well and couldn't wait to get some shut eye.

When she felt the light vibration, she could feel her heart skip a beat since she was pretty nervous as to what his response would. Would he be willing to or would he rather just forget that anything had happened? She decided to bite the bullet as she opened the message to see that he was... willing. A small smile on appeared on her face. Okay.. We should think about it, and then let each other know what the decision is. I just don't want to rush things by accident.. I just hope that Lei understands this.. especially keeping the whole thing from her.

"You really don't have to sleep down there,' Leila mumbled, her eyes were still shut. She yawned as she stretched, then she curled up into a ball on her side. Sleep came to her pretty quickly.

He chewed on the inside of his cheek as he waited for her response. His phone buzzed and he quickly checked it. I hope so too. I think we both need some sleep and time to think. I'll text you in the morning? A sigh escaped from his lips as he got comfy on his bed, his mind replaying the kitchen scene in his head. Eventually he drifted off.

There was nothing else for him to say because he really was comfortable on the ground. He had just invaded her house and didn't need to invade her bed, too. Using his arm as a pillow, he neatly tucked it underneath his head before letting his eyes gently fall shut.

Lily leaned her head against the arm of the couch, raising her phone into the air. Yeah, that sounds like the best option. Text me! She responded before using her leg to kick herself up to sit. The only thing that she needed now was some rest, so she went upstairs into her room to get some sleep. She laid down on her bed with a sigh as she let what had just happened in the kitchen replay. Just right below her bedroom. Closing her eyes, she slipped off into a sleep.

Leila woke up to the sun shining brightly into her bedroom window. She rubbed her eyes as she thought to herself, what a strange dream I had last night. She groggily removed the covers and stood to go to the bathroom. As she stood, she seen the sleeping boy on the floor. "Oh god. It wasn't a dream after all."

Mason woke up to his mom screaming downstairs. He rolled his eyes as he stretched and got up. Making his way to the bathroom, he stopped and garbbed clothes so he could get ready for the day. Once he was finished, he made his way back to his room and could still hear his mother screaming. It caused another roll of the eyes and he decided he would be leaving the house today by way on window. He quickly scrambled out of his bedroom window and down the ledge, sneaked his way into the garage and snatched up his skateboard and made his way to somewhere that was anywhere but there.

Steven heard a voice and slowly sat up to see Leila who was still in complete shock from the whole situation. "No.. No it wasn't. I am still here.. and invisible." He reassured with a yawn before stretching his arms over his head. Looking up at her, he could tell that she had been slightly hoping that it was all a dream. Who wouldn't?

Lily woke up the next morning to the sun in her face and groaned, wanting to just turn over in her sleep. Now on her stomach, she stretched out her limbs with a sigh. It seemed like she would have to move now... unfortunately. She sat up before taking out her phone to see that there were no new messages from Mason. Maybe he was still asleep she figured since it was pretty early on a weekend for any teenager to be up. Going downstairs to the kitchen, she greeted her parents before taking some cereal for breakfast.

"I can see that," Leila gave him a tender smile and plopped back down onto her bed. "Well.. What do invisible people even do? Do you guys get hungry?" She giggled, softly.

Mason sat on a bench and pulled out his phone. He wondered if either Leila or Lily was up for the day. He didn't want to just roam around all day. He texted Lily, Hey. Are you up

Steven smiled before laughing since he really wasn't sure what they would do. "I don't know.. I guess, anything that they couldn't get away with when they were visible." For some reason, he felt like he should miss someone.. like his family, but he couldn't remember them.

Lily sat down at the table before hearing her phone buzz and smiling to herself. Her parents were actually a bit skeptical, exchanging looks. Yeah, what's up?

"Alrighty, Steven, I'll be back with pop-tarts or something." She flashed a smile and slipped out of her bedroom and headed for the kitchen. She saw her parents and Lily sitting at the table and froze behind the corner. How was she supposed to sneak food up there if they were all in the way? Sighing, she headed back for her room to tell Steven the bad news.

My mom is on a rampage this morning. You wanna meet somewhere or something? We can... Talk? Mason pressed send and sat his phone down. He watched the ducklings that were across the lake from him and smiled.

He nodded before she left the room and leaned against bed with a sigh. What was he supposed to do now? Steven wondered if there was some sort of communicator for the supernatural or something he could talk to.

Aww, that sucks. Um, sure. Where? She sent back before practically shoveling the cereal into her mouth. Barely swallowing her food, she dumped her dishes into the sink, muttering an excuse to leave the house.

Leila slipped back into her room, soundlessly. "Mission food was a no go." She put on her best pouty face and plopped down onto her bed. "Well, we'll wait until they leave for work and then go down and eat." There was noise from the room next to hers. "That's Lily's room. She must be in a rush." Leila shrugged her shoulders and made her way to the closet.

Uh, I'm at the little park. You could head this way and I'll head your way. Then I have this place I'd like to show you. Mason did have a little place in mind, a place where he liked to go when he wanted to get away. It would be the perfect place for them to talk without people interrupting them.

Steven sighed since he really was a little hungry, especially since he couldn't remember how long ago he had eaten. "It's alright.. Don't worry about it." He smiled as he watched her walk over to the closet not realizing that she was about to change. "Oh, that's nice. You have a sister. I can't remember if I have siblings." He gave a small pity laugh to himself.

Lily slipped on her shoes before replying back Yeah, sure. Just gimme a minute and you should see me. She exited the house before taking a light jog to the park that was down the street. Luckily, it wasn't too far away so she found him in no time. "Hey," She greeted with a smile.

She snatched a few things off of their hangers and made her way to the bathroom that connected hers and Lily's rooms. "Well, we can always try to find out more about you." Leila smiled at him. "I'm just gonna change in here." She figured if he didn't want to sleep in the bed with her, then he probably didn't want her changing in front of him.

"Hey," Mason smiled at her, "follow me." He led the way to the woods and headed in. Tilting his head sideways, he listened for the creek. "This way," he took her hand and tugged on it, following the creek to a clearing where the creek ended in a pond. "Here we are."

Steven gave a small nod since he did appreciate that she was going to change somwhere else. He really didn't need anything to be awkward between them. She was a pretty girl but he wanted to be a gentleman. "Yeah.. I will just wait here until you get back so we can talk later." He smiled at her before absentmindedly looking down at his hands.

Lily followed him down the creek towards the pond and smiled over at him because this would be the great spot to talk. There was no one else around and that would be perfect. "Are you alright? I mean, your mom and all... Sorry. I don't mean to pry." She glanced over at him with concerned eyes.

Leila quickly slipped into her clothes and glanced over at herself in the mirror, a gasp slipping from between her lips. "Shit," she muttered, "I look awful." She realized that Steven was an invisible boy with amnesia (and possibly just a fragment of her imagination) but she still wanted to look nice for him; the thought of him finding her atrocious caused a sick feeling in her stomach.

"Yeah," Mason mumbled at rubbed the back of his neck with his other hand. "It's just..." A sigh escaped from between his lips, "Her and Jason are having issues. He's a troublemaker... And an asshole. Sorry, but I have no better word for him."

Steven got up and started to pace around her room, looking at the various trophies and pictures. Maybe it would help him remember something from his past. All he needed was just something to remind him of his life. His parents must have been sick looking around for him... Maybe there was some sort of clue in the news about a missing person. He would have to bring it up with Leila.

Lily offered an apologetic smile since she knew that it must have sucked. Leila sometimes talked about the family problems that Mason had just to vent about how stupid his mother was for keeping around Jason. "That must suck... If you ever need a place to stay, you know that my parents would be more than willing to let you sleep on the couch." She offered since any type of getaway was probably better than staying at the house.

Leila scrambled to make herself better. She slipped into the shower and made it a quick one, stepping out and wrapping herself in a towel. Opening the sink cabinets, she looked for the dryer and snatched it up. Quickly, she yanked the brush through her hair as she blow-dried it. After that, she brushed her teeth and slipped into her clothes and stepped out of the bathroom and into her bedroom. With a small smile, she waved at Steven, "Sorry about taking forever."

"Yeah, I know," Mason smiled at her. "Lucky for me, your parents love me. I've only been hanging out there since I was in third grade," he chuckled. He sat down on a large rock and patted the spot next to him.

When she opened the door, he had been leaning over to look at one of the family photos. Nothing had quite returned just yet. "It's alright, but I thought that you just went to change your clothes." He asked since he had heard the shower and dryer while she was inside of the bathroom. Steven dug his hands into his denim jeans before continuing on,"Do you think that we could go through your family's newspaper? There might be some sort of missing persons area. Maybe my parents are looking for me."

Lily took the spot beside him, looking down at the creek right in front of them. "Yeah, it's pretty crazy that we've known it each other this long and yet.." She trailed off before offering a small smile.

"Yeah..." Leila giggled, nervously. "It's just, my parents would've been a bit suspicious of me if I hadn't put in a little more effort into getting ready for the day." She made her way across the room, to the door. "I'll go see if my dad left the newspaper lying about. Maybe this time I can come back with some food." She gave him a grin before heading out of the bedroom door and down the steps into the kitchen.

Her parents weren't in sight and there sat the newspaper on the table. She grabbed it and made her way to inspect the cabinets. Glancing around, there were no pop-tarts to be seen, just some granola bars. "Damn my mother and her health obsession," she muttered as she grabbed the box and trudged back up the steps and into her room.

"Yeah," Mason mumbled as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I suppose when you spend a lot of time with someone, you don't really notice the changes they've gone through. You know?"

Steven nodded since he guessed that it would make sense for her to avoid the suspicion of her parents; they could never be too careful when it came to taking precautions. "Yeah, I'll just wait here but take your time so you don't seem suspicious." Going back to looking at her photos, Steven waited patiently for her to return with the newspaper. He was feeling a little bit nervous as to what it would tell him about his life that he couldn't remember. Turning his head when she reappeared, he gave smile before walking closer to her, wanting to see what it said,"So, anything on me?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that.. until you're literally forced to look at them, huh." She laughed a little before stretching out her arm in front of her.
