It's a Secret

  • (I meant to put this in the last one, but forgot. Sorry it's taken so long! There's been a lot going on and things just keep getting hectic. >.<)

Fred arched an eyebrow as he watched her, tilting his head to the side in both amusement and curiosity. "You're a terrible liar," he decided after a few moments before he lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug.
"You're blushing. Can I ask why?" A grin had already spread over his features, making itself more than evident, but he hardly cared. He was rather happy to see that he had somehow made her blush.

    ~

Amelia shrugged in response, honestly unsure. "I suppose," she decided slowly, but sometimes it seemed a bit more than that. It wasn't that Dumbledore was forgiving; he was just kind, in her opinion, and he knew what was right.
She decided against mentioning this, though, for she knew that most Slytherins disliked the headmaster. No reason to give them more of a reason to.

  • (Don't worry about it! I've been quite busy myself! (: )

Jane rolled her eyes at him, trying to seem annoyed with him, but the smirk on her lips gave her away. "I can be a good liar when I want to be." She replied, the rest of the rosy color on her cheek fading.
"I was just nervous is all," Jane states, "I really am fine, other than that."
She wasn't completely lying this time. She really was nervous about all of this, but the rosy color that had stained her cheeks were because of him.

Draco nodded at her words, not really knowing what else to add. He stared at the lake in front of them for a while longer before adding, "You know, he's a decent headmaster. I don't understand why a lot of my fellow housemates hate him. I mean, I used to at one point, before I realized that I hated him for no reason."

  • (Sorry, I was stuck on what to do for the Fruits Basket one and I didn't want to reply to the Harry Potter ones and not that one. xD)

Fred blinked with surprise as he looked to her. She was nervous? Why? He wondered if it was wise to question it - or if that would just make her want to start avoiding him. He didn't want to seem nosy, after all.
Still, he couldn't help but to be curious, so it wasn't too surprising that the words had tumbled out anyways.
"Why are you nervous?" he asked.

    ~

Amelia felt a little relieved to hear his words and she nodded slightly. "He's a good person," she decided quietly as she turned her attention to the lake as well. "He helps his students whenever he can, though most of them don't seem to want to accept it."

  • (Hey! Sorry for taking so long to reply! It's been such a hectic couple of weeks for me and I haven't really had time to get on. And it's alright xD. I understand)

Jane was slightly stuck with what she was going to say, but quickly found a reason. She sighed softly before figuring out exactly how to word the sentence. "Just all of this," She starts, "It's different and new. It's just weird for me to be here right now, but it's kind of a nice weird. If that makes any sense at all?"

    -

"That's just because they refuse to believe that he's actually a good headmaster." Draco answered quietly. "They don't wanna accept that their wrong about him."

  • (No worries! It's been pretty hectic here, too, what with preparing for Thanksgiving and everything, so I get it, haha!)

Fred listened to her explain quietly, though he was both amused and a little happy to hear her words as he nodded in response. "I know what you mean," he said honestly before looking to the wall across the corridor. "I feel the same, so it makes sense. Not in the way that it's understandable, but it the way that I'm in the same boat."

    ~

Amelia smiled slightly and nodded in agreement. "They're just dolts," she decided in a sing-song voice. "And it might not even be their opinion in the first place. Their parents could have implanted those opinions in them and they just think their parents can never be wrong about somebody or something."

  • Jane nodded, glad that he had bought into what she said, but also glad that he also agreed with her feelings. "So," she started, "how long do you think we have before we're caught by a prefect?"

    -

"I guess so." Draco sighs. "I just wish they realized that not everything that mummy and daddy say are true."
He takes a deep breath, looking at their surroundings, checking for any others around and breathes out when he finds none.

  • Fred thought about it for a few moment, but he wasn't entirely sure what to say. Eventually, he lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug and grinned at the girl. "Don't tell me you're afraid of getting caught," he teased her lightly.
He doubted that was the case. But he was also sure that she probably didn't want to end up with a detention. "We can part ways for the night and meet up again tomorrow?" he suggested.
Amelia sighed and nodded slightly. "Unfortunately, I don't think that will ever happen," she told him quietly before he let a small smile grace her features. "It doesn't matter, I guess. They'll think whatever they want; I don't think anybody will ever be able to sway their opinions."
Looking back to the lake, she soon let out a quiet yawn. It was getting late, she realized with disappointment.
    June 8th, 2015 at 08:11am
  • Jane smirked, then shrugged her shoulders. "Hardly," She grinned at him. "That's sounds good." She nods, "Probably for the best anyways, don't wanna spend another day in detention."
Jane lifted herself off the floor and dusted off her clothes.
Draco shrugged at that and shook his head, "That's a shame." He glanced at her for a moment, and smiled when she had. "I guess that's there problem," He agrees, looking away from her.
He notices her yawn and looks around them. It is definitely way later than he intended to stay out.
"Did you want to head in for the night and maybe meet again tomorrow?" Draco asked.

  • Fred let a small grin form on his features, then, and lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug. "I'll probably end up in detention again, anyways," he said honestly, because he almost always ended up in detention.
It didn't matter too much, though. Moving to stand up, he brushed himself off and looked to her. "I'll see you tomorrow, yeah? Maybe after classes, if neither of us end up with detention?"
Amelia offered a small smile and nodded to his words. "Yeah, that'd be fine with me," she decided quietly. "Probably best that we don't go inside at the same time, though." She knew it was better to avoid attracting attention to themselves.
And, at the same time, she didn't really want to separate from him yet. She knew it couldn't be helped, though.

  • Jade smiled at his comment. Typical, she thought, he would be one to get detention regularly. She was also like that but Snape always seemed to make detention easy for her. He had a soft spot for his house, but he would never admit it.
"Yeah and I don't see why not." She responded softly. "As long as no one gets detention."
Draco nodded at her words, knowing they were true. "If you want, you could go in first."
He never thought he would say something like that to someone else. He thought he would be selfish like his father and demand he got first, but he found himself not minding that she could go in first. He didn't want to leave her just yet, but he knew that they shouldn't be seen together.
    August 9th, 2015 at 10:14am
  • Fred nodded slightly to her words. "Maybe I'll actually have a reason to avoid getting detention for once," he joked lightly before he let out a sigh. "No guarantees, though."
After all, he couldn't always avoid getting into trouble. "Anyways, should we go our separate ways from here?" he asked quietly, his gaze resting on her.
Amelia blinked to his suggestion but nodded slightly. "Alright, sure," she decided quietly, though she hesitated for a few minutes before she sighed and stood up.
"I'll see you tomorrow, Draco," she told him with a small smile before she left, hoping to get back to the common room before Fred realized that she was gone.
    August 9th, 2015 at 10:20am
  • Jane laughed quietly at the joke. "Maybe," She agrees, "We'll see what happens tomorrow, won't we?"
She sighed softly, "Yeah, that would probably be best."
Jane didn't want to leave, she wanted to stay around him, but she knew she couldn't. She dropped her gaze from him. "Goodnight Fred," She said, waving at him before heading back to the common room.
"See you tomorrow," Draco replied softly and watched as she walked away from him. He waited a couple of moments before he decided to go inside. He got up, brushed off his clothes and headed towards the castle. He hoped this would be first of many meetings between them.
    August 9th, 2015 at 10:50am
  • "Goodnight, Jane," Fred called after her, though he made sure not to be too loud. He watched her for a few moments before he turned to head to the Gryffindor common room.
Amelia had gotten inside just in time to catch Fred climbing up the staircases."Ginger, wait up!" she called before she quickly rushed to catch up to him.
Hearing her, he glanced over his shoulder and grinned, only beginning to walk again when she caught up. "Where were you, Mia?" he asked, surprised that she hadn't already been in the common room.
"Oh, outside. I was practicing a spell," she lied easily before she focused on walking.
    August 9th, 2015 at 10:58am
  • Jane walked back to the Slytherin common rooms without running into a teacher. She started to head to her room when she heard the common room door creak open again. She walked back, seeing that Draco had just come in.
"Hey," Jane said, startling him. "Did you just get in?"
Draco looked at his friend, "Yeah, I decided to stay out for a while longer."
Jane looked at him suspiciously, "Okay then. Goodnight."
"Goodnight." Draco answered, then hurried off to his room.
Jane glared at him but shook it off. She then went to her room.
    August 10th, 2015 at 03:04am
  • Fred didn't quite believe his friend, but he didn't press on the matter. He had a secret of his own now, after all.
The rest of the walk was quiet and, when they got to the common room, Amelia offered a small smile. "Night, Ginger. See you in the morning."
After Fred grinned and said, "Good night," the two went their separate ways and went to their respective rooms.

  • Jane woke up in the morning, feeling strangely content. She tried to remember what had made her feel this way when remembered her night with Fred. Recollecting the night was strange, but it felt nice. She felt her cheeks begin to warm up slightly. She huffed and covered her face with a pillow until she felt a little less embarrassed. Jane started to get up, knowing she would have to be in class soon.
Draco had a hard time sleeping last night. He kept thinking about his night. It was so interesting to him that a girl he thought he had hated could actually be his new friend. Friend. That word seemed weird when her thought of her. Honestly, he wasn't sure what had compelled him to speak to her, but he didn't regret it. That was for sure.
    October 18th, 2015 at 07:26am
  • It wasn't uncommon for Fred to wake up in a pleasant mood. But, usually, it was because he was planning a big prank. That wasn't the case this time, though - granted, he could probably improv a few pranks if somebody questioned his happiness. Instead, though, he was looking forward to spending time with Jane, if they got the chance to later. They'd have to sneak away, sure, but he wasn't worried. Climbing out of bed, he got ready for the day.
Amelia had woken up, feeling like the day before had been a little surreal. She knew it wasn't, though. She had made a new friend - one in the enemy of her best friend. In truth, she wasn't sure how long this friendship could last without causing problems within her friendship with Fred, but she tried not to worry about it. Instead, she moved to change and made her way out of her room.
    October 18th, 2015 at 07:40am
  • Jane started to get ready for the day, knowing she would meet with Draco so they could get breakfast before heading to their first class. It was nice knowing that she would have something to look forward to that night. Suddenly, she remembered that she would have to be careful about what she said around Draco. Afterall, she had befriended his sort of enemy. She sighed, walking out of the girls dorm.
Draco finished getting ready quickly, deciding to wash his face with cold water, hoping it would wake him up a bit more. He knew that if he looked too tired, Jane would question him and he didn't have the energy for that. He felt himself perk up, thinking that he may be able to meet up with Amelia later.
    October 18th, 2015 at 08:01am
  • After he finished getting ready, Fred had gone ahead to make his way out of the room and downstairs to the common room. He tried not to look too happy, due to Amelia's curiosity. On top of that, he didn't want to pique his twin's curiosity, either. The duo would probably bombard him with questions and work together to get answers.
Amelia, having already gone downstairs, spotted Fred and grinned. "Are you ready for the day?" she asked in a hum. She didn't wait for Fred's response, though, before she took hold of his wrist and tugged him out of the common room to head to breakfast. Mostly, she was eager to see Draco, even if they couldn't speak.
