Starry Summer Nights

Nick raised an eyebrow. He blushed once again. A girl had never been this wild with him before. He swallowed looking at his swim trunks. "Uhh sure." He stuttered. "I mean no I haven't before but I guess its only fair if you have nothing to swim in then neither should I." He said and smiled at her rubbing the back of his neck.

Embry gasped as she came up and laughed. "Oh you are so gonna get it." She said diving down and wimming underneath as he waited. It wasn't until he was worried she drowned she she come up and yank on his ankle nringing him under before returning to he surface. She laughed as he came up looking like a drowned rat. Embry smiked and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Gotcha." She said and kissed his cheek close to his lips diving under starting to swim back to shore. He hadn't noticed that it was starting to get dark. She got to shore putting her side skirt back on and gathered driftwood into a pile in a sand pit she mad quicklu made. She lit it. When Josh came to shore she tossed him a towel then sat on hers holding her knees with a soft smile looking into the fire. "So Josh what's your story? What makes you passionate?" She asked looking up at him.

Atlas giggled a bit at how cute he was right then, blushing and stuttering and all, and smiled up at him. "I promise I don't want to make you nervous or anything... I'll swim in my dress or my underwear or something... I thought it'd be easier to keep dry if my only set of clothes didn't get soaked though," she told him. "I guess I should've guessed when you mentioned water though... sorry..." she gave him an apologetic smile.

Josh laughed as he came up and Embry did shortly after. Then she dove under, and he braced himself, figuring she'd try to tip him over. And then she didn't come back up... he'd just started to move to see what was wrong when she flipped him over. He'd only just come up, gasping half-choked on sea water, when she suddenly kissed him and then swam off again. Josh waited until he could breathe again before he went after her, but by that time she was already on the beach. "Thanks," he said as she tossed the towel at him. He dried off a bit and then decided she had a good idea by sitting on her towel, so then he ended up sitting beside her, albeit on his own towel. "My story?" he asked and shrugged. "I'm a teen; I haven't made a story yet. You know us guys; we're all perverts who constantly think about sex." Sadly enough, it was only half a joke since that generally was the average teenage guy. He still managed a small smile though.

Nick shook his head. "No no it's fine Atlas." He said and held her hand. "But why do you only have one pair of cloths? Is something going on? Is there something I can do for you?" He asked and pulled her close and out of the water. He ran his hand down her back. "Do you trust me?" Nick asked as he looked down into her eyes and caressed her cheek with the back of his hand.

Embry frowned as he sat so far away but smirked at he way he ended his story. She had her head laid on her arms on her legs as she looked over at him the fire flashing beautiful light over her face. The fire glowed many different colors. She smiled and crawled over to his towel. "Oh really? Sex humm? Well have you ever done it?" She asked her eyes smoldering his and when he looked away she closed in hernose trailing over his neck her hand on his chest moving over his shoulder and pulling his arm to her waist. She could feel his pulse racing. Embry pulled back to look in his eyes but not far away at all. She fluttered her lashes looking up at him through them. She wanted to know if this was his destiny this summer.

Atlas was surprised at Nick's reaction, because it was unexpected and odd, even to her who was used to how her mortal boys acted with her. "No, I don't only have one pair of clothes. If I did, it wouldn't be a dress and flip flops. I meant this is all I have with me at this moment," she explained as he drew her close, and she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Don't worry about me, okay?" If only it was that simple.

This wasn't really the sort of response that Josh had expected, to be honest... he really wasn't sure how to react... "Yeah, that's generally what most guys think about all the time..." Damn, he hadn't thought it could be possible, but she looked even more beautiful in the firelight, and Josh felt himself beginning to slowly lean towards her without really knowing it.

Nick smirked. "Oh... sorry." He said and kissed her cheek. He had a long history and it wasn't always good so he had been worried. "Well there is no reason for you to gt this beautiful dress wet." He said and smirked. Now that she brought up the idea he really wanted to with her. She was beautiful. Nick smirked and moved back and forth with her as if dancing.

"What do you think about?" Embry asked and let him come cllser their breath mi gling together until she closed the gap kissing him softly her hands on his cheeks before moving to his neck. She pulled back before he could settle into the kiss. "Tell me, what do you think about?" Embry asked and sat there between his legs theirs ha ds on eachother with there breath mingling as she demanded an anwser.

Atlas smiled as Nick began moving them back and forth, and then she started moving with him, so it was more like dancing rather than just moving back and forth. "You really know how to plan a romantic date," she complimented him and rested her head against his bare chest as they continued to just sway.

"What I think about when?" Josh's hands had settled at her waist when she'd kissed him, and he was disappointed that she'd pulled back, even though she'd stayed close. Even though she'd moved away from the fire a little ways to where he was, the light still illuminated half of her though the other part was in darkness. She was still extremely beautiful anyway though, mesmerizing actually...

Nick smiled. "Well thanks." He said. Nick had hoped it was going to go better actually. But he couldn't argue that this was nice after a while he pulled back. "Are you hungry?" He asked. The moon was bright enough to light his way as he set out a blanket and pulled out some food. He smiled and sat down.

Embry grinned and pulled back sitting next to him her head on his shoulder. She smiled at the fire. This was nice. She felt warm in his arms. Embry hoped that this was the right choice for this summer. She had kissed him and it sealed the deal. They where to be each other's his summer.

"Oh, a picnic." Atlas smiled as she sat down close to Nick on the blanket he'd set out over the grass, near the crystal clear pool of water. "We're going to have to wait a while after we eat before we can go swimming you know; to make sure no one gets cramps and nearly drowns." She accepted some of the food he gave her, thanking him.

Josh smiled. One arm had stayed around her as Embry moved so that she was leaning against his shoulder, and now they were just sitting on the beach near the fire. "You aren't getting cold, are you?" They hadn't exactly dried off from the swimming yet, and it was starting to cool down now that night was setting in.

Nick laughed. "That's an old wives tale but if you insist I am sure we can do something to pass the time." He said and smiled at her. He ate slowly lookting at the lake that started to reflect the sky as if a mirror. "I guess it wont be bad to wait a while to swim in the stars." He smiled at her.

Embry smiled. "No I'm fine, are you cold?" She asked looking at his skin to be sure. She hugged his side and watched the fire some more. "So tell me about your family." She said and looked up at him wondering just how young he was. Embry wanted to get him talking about something. Prehaps she could open him up some. He was so shy.

"Mm, I think I can agree to that," Atlas affirmed. "The food is great by the way," she added since it did taste pretty good. And after a while, they were both done. Atlas stretched out and then cuddled in close to Nick as she laid out on the blanket. This was just day one, and she was pretty excited for the rest of the summer. He could calm down a bit soon, she knew, even if he remained slightly transfixed... it just seemed to be a side effect that fae had on mortals.

"No, I'm fine. I just wanted to make sure you didn't get chilly," Josh told her, trailing off as she asked about his family. "Uhh.. well, my father's in the military, so we don't see him a whole lot... my mom's an auditor for the state, and then there's me, plus my older brother and sister. My brother's married, and my sister is in college, so I'm usually at the house alone."

Nick smiled and relaxed back his hand moving up and down her back. How had he gotten so lucky. She was going to enchant him all summer. "So after this date will I see you again soon?" He asked hoping to score a second date but wasn't sure how he scored the first. Nick grinned as he looked down at her with the moonlight on her face. She was stunning.

Embry smiked as he voiced his concern for her. When he talked about his family she frowned softly. "I am sorry. You don't have to be alone this summer though." She said turning into him her hand on his chest and she kissed his jawline once laying her head under his chin. Embry hoped he would find comfort in this thought for the summer.

At last turned her face up towards Nick at his question. "How does tomorrow sound?" She questioned. "Only if you're free of course... I haven't made any plans for the summer, but I'd love to make some..." She hoped he caught her tone, which implied that she wanted to make plans with him.

Josh was a bit surprised at the offer Embry seemed to be making, and he blinked at her in surprise momentarily before a small smile found his lips. "Really? Are you offering to spend the summer with me then?" So far, that seemed like an absolutely amazing thought, and hopefully it would stay that way.

Nick smiked. "Tomorrow sounds perfect. How about the carnival on the board walk?" He asked and smiled. It would be perfect. They could walk around going on rides and talk or what ever. Plus the rides wouldn't harm his matchoness. Nick smiled down at her catching a faint hint that his might be a summer long thing.

Embry blushed smiling as she looked up at him. She nodded. "Yes." She said. "You know where I am staying. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing you again and maybe even seeing a lot of you." She said. "Your not half bad of a kisser either so their's a plus." Embry teased smirking. She thought he was so sweet like this. It was getting late and she wondered if his friends would have staid to give him a ride home.

"Sounds like a date to me," Atlas agreed. She stood up then, pulling Nick up with her. "For now, let's just enjoy this one though." Atlas let go of his hand after slipping out of her flip flops, and reached up to unzip her dress. Soon it was at her feet and she was stepping out of it so she could pull off her underwear as well. Then after that, she gave Nick a quick wink and ran and jumped into the lake.

Josh smiled a bit and rubbed the back of his neck as she told him he wasn't a half bad kisser. "Well, I would love to see you again as well. That was a pretty brief kiss though, so I'm not really going to be able to tell you how good of a kisser you are.... well, yet, hopefully." He smiled, almost shyly. "You've been sending me hits all afternoon, so... I'm just taking a guess here."

Nick smiled up at her. He stood dropping his swim trunks and ran after her. He laughed as he dived inafter her. He came up laughing and swam over to her. She looked amazing swimming in the lake that reflexed he stars. The moon was moving closer bringing the light onto the water.

Embry smiled and chuckled. "If you answered my question I would be happy to show you exactly what kind of kisser I am. "So do you want to tell me eiher what you think, since all boys think about sex? Or would you rather tell me what you are passionate about. You will eventually tell me both." Embry said and kissed his jaw as she looked up at him her hand moving up his chest.

Atlas' head had come above water in time to get splashed as Nick jumped in, and she laughed as he bobbed to the surface, smiling as he swam over towards her. She started to swim as well though, away from him, in a teasing manner as if to say "you wanna catch me? Come and get me." The water was a bit chilly, raising goosebumps on her arms, but it wasn't bad considering it was summer and the sun had warmed it up.

"What makes you think I'll tell you both eventually?" Josh asked, though she did make it tempting to want to do so, with her hand running up his chest and her kissing his jaw. She was rather persuasive... He ended up taking her hand though and lacing their fingers together. "Which one of the two do you want to know more?" He was curious to know.

Nick laughed takking longer strokes and soon catchinng her ankle. He pulled her closer and grabbed her waist tickling her. "You tease." Nick said and smirked. He was always more then people expected him to be. They assumed one thing about him and his mission in life was to exceed their expectaions to shatter their illusion. Nick looked down at Atlas. "Thought you could out swim me?"

Embry smirked as he asked his first question. She smiled up at him and nibbled at his neck. When he laced his fingers with hers she looked up at him. Embry thought about it debating in her mind knowing this question not only defined their summer but also who she was as a fairy. Did she want to fullfil destinies or did she want to deal with the manners of the heart. Embry bit her lip it was so hard to choose. "What is your passion?" She asked even her voice was alluring pulling him into her wishes. Embry grinned her lips now hovering close to his.

Atlas laughed as he tickled her, and was smiling as he stopped and they stayed close, with his hands still on her waist. "Maybe I didn't, but chances are that I actually did," she retorted with a smile and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Apparently it's been proved I can't though, so I don't know if I should bother anymore..."

Josh watched Embry as she considered which question she would rather have him answer. She looked like she was having a tough time choosing... and even though he hadn't answered when she had first asked the questions, at the moment it felt like all he wanted to do was answer her. His body automatically leaned towards her a little as well. "Okay... I actually love to draw. Whenever I have free time, that's what I do." When he wasn't making plans with his friends..

Nick chuckled and looked down at her and brought his hand up to her cheek and caressed it. He leaned in close his forehead resting on hers as he leaned in. He paused so close to her lips to be sure she wouldn't stood him from kissing her. He ran a hand through her hair and kissed her softly. Nick felt like for the first time hids body was alive and everything was twice as better. He felt like he had been living in a dream and she just woke him up.

Embry smiled and looked up at him. "Will you draw me sometime?" She whispered her lips gliding across his in a teasing way. She ran her hamd into his hair and once he answered she kissed him long and deep. She pressed into him while pulling him closer to her. Embrymade a soft pleased sound as she pulled back a few minutes later. She grinned. Embry knew now he was hooked. He would come back.

As he leaned in close, Atlas stayed still, knowing he was going to kiss her -or at least was thinking about it. She knew she could've easily leaned forward and made it happen, but it was always different for some reason when they began the kiss, or at least it was the first time. It was basically sealing the deal -she was his for the summer. So as he kissed her, she pressed close as she kissed him back, not actually caring that they were both naked.

Josh was smiling as Embry finally pulled back from the kiss, and a moment later, he kissed her again, though it was pretty brief. When he pulled back, that was when he noticed how dark it had gotten. He made a face. "I'd better get back home, or my mom will freak out." She probably already was, if he was going to be honest with himself. "I guess I... I'll see you around?" He hadn't moved to get up yet, but knew he probably should soon..
