Katherine smiled and reached up, running her fingers through his hair. "Your hair is so soft," she said with wide eyes. Was mermaids' hair always so soft? She bit her lip gently and shook her head, thinking she probably sounded and looked like an idiot. Of course his hair was soft, he was always in the water. She sighed contently, actually feeling really comfortable in Brian's arms. He seemed like such a sweet guy, and she was glad she had him as a friend while she was down here exploring ocean life.

Matt frowned deeply. He sighed heavily and pulled away from her, getting up. "I'm gonna go to the bathroom," he mumbled. He walked to the bathroom and slammed the door behind him, hating that he now had to fix his problem himself. He absolutely hated it when she strung him along like that. She didn't do it often, but when she did, it pissed him off. It was almost as if she was using him for her own pleasure or something, but he couldn't make that assumption because he knew it wasn't true. She just wasn't ready and he had to accept that.

Brian chuckled, raising an eyebrow at her. "Yes, the seawater tends to do that," he murmured, placing soft kisses on the inside of her neck. He looked up when Gemma's parents came in, pouting some. He didn't realize how late it was getting. They must've spent forever searching that ship, and then coming back and talking. Though he did most of the talking. "Time to go Brian, you know the rules," Gemma's mom said, making Brian groan. He didn't want to leave. Maybe he would sneak back up to Gemma's room after he left.

Gemma jumped a little when she heard a door slam, biting down on her bottom lip hard. "This fucking sucks," she grumbled, burying her face in a couch pillow. She noticed that it was starting to get dark, which made her wonder just how long her and Matt had been making out for. Gemma knew that she was supposed to be meeting Katherine back at the docks tonight, which Gemma was looking forward do. She didn't know how much more of being himan she could deal with without any help.

Katherine looked over and her eyes widened as she got up. "Mom? Dad?" she muttered, looking at the two before her. She swam over and hugged them tightly, crying softly from happiness. These were her parents; her actual birth parents, and she finally got to meet them. She was so happy and excited and she was feeling so many emotions at once. She pulled back after a minute to reach up and rub her eyes. "I love you guys," she murmured. It was only then that she realized how stupid she must look and she bit her lip hard. "Um . . . can Brian stay the night? Please? He can sleep on the floor. But I just . . . really need some company right now."

Matt finished fixing his problem and walked back into the living room, rubbing his face. "Um, I think maybe I should go home," he said. "Your mom is probably gonna be home soon and I don't want to intrude on your personal time." Truth was, he was embarrassed and he didn't think he could sit there with her knowing he'd had to jack off in the bathroom because she'd quit so soon on him.

Brian furrowed his eyebrows together, wondering what in the world had gotten into her. He gave Gemma's parents an innocent smile, rubbing the back of his neck. "Well, as long as you two promise not to do any funny business," Gemma's mom said, shrugging. "Then It's fine by me." Brian blushed lightly at the mention of funny business, making a mall face. He hated it when grown ups mentioned funny business. It was so awkward.

Gemma frowned and got up, sighing softly. "Alright, if you have to," she murmured, staring down her her hands. "Thank you," Katherine grinned, hugging them again before she grabbed Brian's hand and led him up to her room. She sat on the bed and looked at him. "You're a good guy, Brian." She wanted to tell him the truth so badly, because he deserved to know, but it really wasn't her place to tell him. It was Gemma's. Gemma was his girlfriend, not Katherine. And she didn't know if Gemma was ready to tell him or not so she couldn't just tell him all willy nilly.

Matt looked at her and sighed softly, walking over and cupping her cheeks in his hands. "It's okay," he said. "You're not ready. I'm totally okay with that. I get it." He kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her. Maybe he'd overreacted, but he hated having blue balls. It fucking sucked. He hugged her tightly and let go, thinking to himself. "How about we go to the beach and watch the sun set?" he suggested. "We can bring some snacks and maybe we can steal your mom's Vodka," he joked, smirking playfully at her.

Brian followed Gemma up to her room, biting down on his bottom lip. "Well thanks, Gemma. You're pretty great too," he said with a small chuckle. "So are you going to tell me whats been up with you all day or what?" he asked, plopping down in one of the chairs in her room and playing with one of her pearl necklaces. He really didn't understand jewelry. It seemed so pointless. Brian flicked it aside and started messing with something Gemma got a while ago from a sunken ship, remember it was called a compass. Weirdest thing ever.

Gemma smiled bright, nodding excitedly. "Yes! That sounds great," she said with a small giggle, jumping up and down. "You make the snacks, I'll find the... The Vodka," she murmured, looking around the house and trying to think where she would find such a thing. She wondered how pissed off Katherine's mom would be that they stole the vodka. Oh well, if Matt wanted her to do it then she'd do it.

Katherine bit her lip hard. "Um, what do you mean?" she asked, swimming over and grabbing the compass from him, putting it back in its place. She sat on the table in front of him, looking at him. "There's nothing up with me, I'm absolutely fine. What are you talking about?" She was really worried now, so to keep him quiet, she leaned down and pressed her lips to his, hoping to distract him. It was nothing like kissing Matt, and she felt so dirty for doing it. Was this considered cheating? Yes. She was cheating on her boyfriend. But she couldn't pull herself away.

Matt packed some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, potato chips, pretzels and bottles of water, biting his lip gently as he walked into the living room, setting the basket down on the couch. "Katherine!" he called out, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited for her. He sighed softly as he walked upstairs to her mom's room, his brows furrowing and he shook his head. He walked over and opened her closet door, reaching inside the mini fridge and grabbing out the bottle of Vodka. He walked back downstairs. "Kat, I got it, come on!"

Brian's eyes widened slightly and he wrapped his arms around Gemma, slowly closing his eyes as he kissed her back. They never really kissed that often, so it was a real treat when they actually did. Brian pulled away a few moments later, licking over his lips. "What was that for?" he asked, furrowing his brow. He had completely forgotten what he had been questioning her about earlier. He was way too distracted by her lips. "You know, you're the most beautiful girl i've ever laid eyes on," he murmured, reaching up and tucking some hair behind her ear.

Gemma frowned and bit down on her bottom lip, sighing and going back downstairs. "Alright, lets go," she said, walking over and opening the front door. "Lead the way," she said, giving him a small smile. She was honestly really excited to go watch the sunset with Matt. Watching the sunset was one of her favorite things to do. Being a mermaid and never being allowed up on the surface, she never got to do it.

Katherine bit her lip gently and smiled slightly. Even though she knew she was dirty for kissing Brian, and Matt was so good to her, she was finding this new experience making her feel so alive. "Um, I just really wanted to kiss you," she murmured. She reached up and touched his cheek gently, looking into his eyes. "You're beautiful too, Brian." She took a deep breath and moved into his lap, sliding her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly. He was a really good friend, and she was praying that it stayed that way. You know, when he found out who she was.

Matt smiled and led her out to his car. He opened the door and put the cooler in the backseat before he helped her in and climbed in himself. He knew the beach was a short walk from her house, but the cooler was a bit heavy and he didn't feel like carrying it all the way there. Plus, he had stuff in the backseat that he needed with him at the beach. He parked the car at the beach and climbed out, walking around and pulling the towels and the cooler out, looking over at her and smiling. "You coming?" he asked.

Brian chuckled softly, hugging her back just as tight. He kissed her temple and sighed, just loving the feeling of holding her in his arms. It was nice that they were able to have a day without fighting. They got along so well, and even though it was pretty strange, he still enjoyed it nevertheless. He loved her so much, he didn't know what he would do without her.

Gemma was so fascinated by the car, her eyes wide as as she watched the passing scenery. She blinked and got up out of the car, giggling and following him. "This is so amazing," she giggled, blinking and biting down on her bottom lip when she realized she was being a little too weird. She followed him to a spot, helping him lay out their stuff before plopping down in the sand. She really hoped he didn't want to go swimming, cause then she wouln't know how to explain her tail.

Katherine sighed contently. She pulled back and looked at him. He thought she was Gemma, right? So once she and Gemma switched back, there wouldn't be any difference, and Matt wouldn't have to know. She pressed her lips to his again, kissing him deeply, like she would kiss Matt when she really wanted to be close to him. It was really nice to have Brian's comfort. It was different than Matt's. She and Matt had been best friends for years, but she felt as if they were never really all that close. They just fell into a relationship, but it was never like they were together together. If that made any sense. But with Brian, she felt a closeness, the closeness that he and Gemma shared, and it was what she wanted with Matt.

Matt raised an eyebrow at her and chuckled softly. He opened the cooler and pulled a bottle of water out for himself, looking over at her. "Want some water?" he asked. "You haven't had anything to drink all day. You must be thirsty by now." He always worried about her because she didn't drink a lot, but she always seemed to stay so hydrated for some reason, and it was so weird. It was like she didn't need water, it was like built into her system or something. He handed her one anyways before he opened his and took a large gulp. He sighed contently and leaned back, looking up at the sky.

Brian was taken by surprise again at the kiss, holding her close and kissing her back passionately. He absolutely loved kissing Gemma. Her lips were so soft, so sweet. It never got old. He could kiss her all day if he could. "I love you, Gemma," he murmured softly once they broke away from the kiss, smiling at her. He glanced out the window, seeing that it was getting dark. "Are you getting sleepy yet?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Though, he doubted she was. She usually stayed up doing only God knows what and slept in.

Gemma took the bottle of water, furrowing her eyebrows together. It was so clear, she was amazed. She twisted the cap off like he did, slowy bringing it up to her lips and quickly gulping down the entire bottle. She didn't realize how thirsty she was. Gemma put the top back on and set the bottle down, grabbing the vodka and screwing the top off. She sniffed it, making a small face before she took a huge gulp of it. She coughed, instantly regretting it and trying to stop herself from puking it back up. She sighed, shaking her head. She didn't know what this stuff was, but it was nasty.

Katherine shook her head. "No," she said, cupping his cheeks and turning his head back to her. "I'm right here, Brian." She pressed her lips to his again, letting out a soft moan against his lips. She bit her lip gently and pulled away, blushing slightly. How was she managing to get so turned on already? It was crazy. But she was extremely confused because, well . . . how the hell did mermaids have sex? Did they lay eggs or what? Maybe they didn't have sex. But that wouldn't make sense because her parents had her and Gemma, right? Maybe they came onto the land to procreate. That would make sense. But they would have had to grow legs somehow. On a full moon?

Matt's eyes widened, shaking his head. "Oh my god, no," he said, taking the bottle from her. "You don't gulp Vodka like that. What the hell is wrong with you? You're gonna burn the shit out of your throat." He put the cap on and stuffed it back in the cooler. "You sip Vodka. You don't chug it. Jesus." He rubbed his face and looked around before he reached over and rubbed her back. "I can't take you anywhere," he joked.

Brian blinked, wondering where that just came from. He furrowed his eyebrows together and chuckled a little when he saw her blush, sighing softly. He might as well tell her now, or at least see if she knew. "You know, you actually can go up on the surface you know, get a pair of legs and walk around for a while. You can do it at anytime, really. But going up on the surface is kind of a major deal, especially for couples. They go up there to be all romantic with one another and possibly reproduce," he said, blushing a bit as he told her that. He was kind of afraid to tell her though, cause she might just use that excuse to go up on land like she's alwahs wanted.

Gemma eventually ended her coughing fit, sighing heavily. It looked just like water, she didn't think it was going to be that bad. Gemma stared at the sky with wide eyes, a cheesy grin on her face as she watched the sun beggining to set. She watched it slowly go down, her dream finally coming true. She giggled and threw herself on top of Matt, knocking him to the ground. She started pressing kisses all over his face, extremely happy right now. "Thank you thank you thank you!" She squealed, giggling some more. "You're the best boyfriend ever."

Katherine's brows furrowed. "I thought you needed a full moon," she mumbled, pulling away from him. "We can go up there any time we want to? I had no idea." She shook her head and looked at him, biting her lip gently. "You've never been up to the surface before, have you?" she asked, sitting back down in his lap and grabbing his hand in hers, squeezing it. "You need to come up to the surface with me. Tomorrow, after dark. We'll go. And we can walk on land. Nobody's up there after dark, we won't get caught."

Matt stared at her with wide eyes and he laughed softly. "Okay," he chuckled. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her lips softly. "You're really excited. Am I missing something?" He felt like he was completely in the dark here, like he was missing something that seemed completely obvious. She was never this giddy. It was so weird to him. But she seemed happy, so he didn't mind it. He pressed his lips to hers, holding her head still.

Brian shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. "I've never needed a full moon," he mumbled looking at everything but her. He may or may not have slipped up to the surface every now and then, but for norimantic reasons. He just had a few friends up there that he liked hanging out with, he also loved the different atmosphere and the sun on his skin. It was nice. "That sounds great," he murmured when she suggested going up to the surface tomorrow, nodding. He wanted nothing more then to take her up to the surface. He knew how much she wanted to, and if it would make her happy, then it made him happy.

Gemma kissed him back deeply, running her hands up his chest and tugging at his shirt a little. She wanted it off. She wanted to see the toned muscles underneath. She quickly got that tingly feeling back between her legs that she had earlier, but that was probably because she didn't do anything about it, where as Matt slipped off to the bathroom to do whatever with his pokey problem. "Off," she mumbled against his lips, pulling his shirt up and trying to get it over his head.

Katherine bit her lip gently as she looked at him, beginning to wonder some things about him. "Have you ever, um, "reproduced" on the surface?" she asked, figuring if she mentioned sex or making love, he'd have no idea what in the hell she was talking about. She was sure that he and Gemma had been together for a long time, but maybe he'd gone up and met someone else, just to have a little taste of land people life. But he didn't seem like the time to cheat on, or hurt Gemma. It was obvious he loved her very much, and she was really lucky.

Matt stopped her, grabbing her arms. "Hey," he said. "I don't want to do this again if you're not sure still. I want you to tell me that you want this, that you're ready. I can't keep getting myself invested and have you change your mind in the middle." He looked into her eyes, hoping that this time, for real, she really wanted it. He was more than ready, and it seemed every time she was too, but she always stopped and changed her mind. And what more romantic place than on the beach at sunset, huh? This was the perfect setting.

Brian couldn't help but laugh at that, shaking his head. "Uh, no. We've been together for how long, Gemma? You have me on a pretty tight leash, I don't even have time to consider cheating," he joked, smirking. "No, I just have a few friends up on the surface that I like to hang out with every now and then. It's nice to just get away from the water and into the sun every once in a while. I hate that I never took you before, but your parents are so against anything involving humans that I was seriously afraid to. And knowing you, you'd probably get yourself in some crazy trouble and I'd have no way to bail you out."

Gemma pouted some, licking over her lips. "I want this, Matt. I want this more then I've ever wanted anything in my life," she said, staring down at him. This was so romantic, laying on the beach at sunset, doing only God knows what with this gorgeous man. It felt kind of right, and it made her feel kind of dirty. But she didn't care, she wanted this. She wanted this so much, to experience sometbing completely new. Plus she just wanted the tingly feeling to go away, along with the wet feeling between her legs.

Katherine nodded her head, laughing softly. "You're right," she murmured. "What was I thinking? You'd never hurt me." She moved to sit in his lap again, rubbing his chest. "So, you have friends on the surface? Can you tell me about them? I want to know everything. You've never said anything about being on the surface, and you seem so opposed to it, I never would have figured you'd go up there. I'm curious. Did you meet friends with legs?" Maybe he knew Matt or Jimmy, or one of the guys. If he did, that would be so weird. But they were always at the beach so it would make sense.

Matt nodded his head. He pulled his shirt off and pressed his lips to hers as he ran his hands down her back, moaning softly at how soft and smooth her skin was. He flipped them over so he was on top, straddling her waist and tugging her shorts off. He laid them aside before he reached around her back, untying the bikini top she had on. He pulled it off and leaned down, pressing gentle kisses on her breasts. He was so excited, he was already hard as a rock. He'd been waiting for this moment forever.
