Seize the Day

Brian nodded his head to his best friend, "Yeah. Guess I am worrying over nothing." Brian told Jimmy as he got up and looked at him. "I'm going to take her on home so I can get ready. See ya man." Brian said smiling going to Sage, "Ready to leave?" Brian smiled at her.

Lucy smiled laying her phone on the dresser as she went into her bathroom as she took and began to get ready for her date with Jimmy tonight.

Sage nodded, getting up from the couch, "Yeah, I'm ready to go." She smiled, telling the guys good bye, before following Brian out the door to his car.

Jimmy waved as they walked out, he turned back to the drums and focused on his stuff for awhile before he decided to go back to his place and get his stuff ready for his date.

Brian drove to Sage's home as he smiled. He got out walking her up to the front door, "Does 7:30 sound ok?" Brian asked her.

Lucy began getting dressed and doing her hair and makeup. She smiled to herself humming, Second Heartbeat as it played loudly from her IPOD dock.

Sage smiled up at him, "7:30 sounds perfect." She leaned up and kissed his cheek, "I'll see you then. Unless you want me to be late, I should go and get ready now."

Jimmy got to his home and decided to find some decent clothes that would look acceptable. He found a nice pair of jeans and a black t-shirt and changed.

Brian nodded his head letting her go. He smiled waving to her. He headed home and started getting ready for this date.

Lucy finished as she smiled at the final product. She smiled as she walked out of her room shutting the light off and sitting on the sofa playing on her laptop with ideas for the video while she waited.

Sage walked inside, quickly going to her bedroom and deciding on a cute outfit. Once she had her clothes picked out, she took a quick shower. Finally, she got dressed and walked downstairs, waiting for Brian.

Jimmy took a deep breath as he parked outside of Lucy's home, he calmed himself before getting out and making his way to the door. Knocking softly, he held his breath, his nerves suddenly getting the best of him.

Brian finished getting ready as he looked at himself. He took and left going to Sage's house. He got there and felt his nerves getting the better of him. He took and sighed as he knocked on the door waiting. He saw the door open and saw her as he smiled, "Wow..." He muttered lowly. "You look amazing Sage." He told her.

Lucy heard a knock on the door as she closed her laptop down. She took and got up pushing her dress down a little as she took and walked towards the door. She pulled it open smiling to see Jimmy, "Hey." She said lightly.

Sage smiled, a light blush crossing her cheeks at Brian's reaction to how she looked, "Thanks, Bri. You look pretty good too." She giggled softly, "I'm ready to go if you are."

Jimmy couldn't believe how amazing Lucy looked, "Wow, you look great, like really great, Lucy." He smiled at her, leaning down and kissing her cheek, "Are you ready to go?"

Brian nodded his head offering his arm to her, "Let's go." He told her smiling at her.

Lucy blushed at him kissing her cheek as she smiled at him, "I am ready to go." She smiled at him as she took and walked out closing her door. "Thank you, you look pretty amazing too." She smiled at Jimmy.

Sage followed him out to the car and got in. She was incredibly thankful that she was able to hide how nervous she was, never in a million years did she think Brian would have any interest in her.

Jimmy took her hand and walked her down to the car, opening the door for her, he waited and went to get in on his side. He drove to a nice restaurant and parked, "I hope you don't think this is too fancy..."

Brian opened the door for her and allowed her in. He pushed it up and walked around getting in himself and pulling out to go to the restaurant where they'd be eating. One of Sage's favorite places.

Lucy smiled at Jimmy, "I think it's perfect." She told him getting out of the car as she walked with him.

Sage smiled when they stopped, seeing they were at her favorite place, "Brian, you didn't have to bring me here." She said, walking to the entrance with him.

"Good because I figured you would like this place, but I got nervous and started second guessing myself." Jimmy chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair.

Brian smiled running a hand through his hair, "I wanted too, though." Brian smiled taking her inside as they were taken to their table.

Lucy smiled, "It's perfect, Jimmy." She smiled leaning up best she could reach him to peck his cheek.

Sage couldn't believe that Brian was being so amazing, she sat down across from him. This was already better than any date she had gone on before, not only because of Brian, but because they went somewhere she wanted to go.

Jimmy smiled, "Well, I'm hoping it's only going to get better." He said, walking her back to the table he had reserved for them. He looked over the menu, "What sounds good to you?"

Brian smiled at her as he took and opened his menu. He had told the waiter to bring them some wine, "So order anything you want." He smiled at her.

Lucy smiled looking over the food, "It all does." She let a soft chuckle escape as she kept looking the menu over. She smiled when the waiter came. She ordered what Jimmy was having with some water. She smiled at Jimmy, "This is really nice." She told him.

Sage grabbed a menu and started looking at all the food they had, "All of this is so good." She laughed softly, "I think I might just get my usual." She told him.

Jimmy smiled, looking over at her, "I only want the best for you, and I really didn't feel like screwing this up on our first date...I just hope you don't change your mind about liking me..."

((Okay sweetie ))

Brian nodded and saw the waiter come over. He ordered both of their usual's and smiled at Sage when the waiter left. "I am glad that you took and agreed to this. I have been wanting to be alone, no one around us so we could talk." He took her hand into his and smiled. "Sage. I have like you for the longest possible time I can think. That's why I have never been with. I want to be with you and only you." He admitted to her finally, after all these years of holding it in.

Lucy grinned at him as she slid her hand into his seeing how sweaty it was, "Trust me. I am not going to change mine." She smiled at him as she kept a hold of his hand.

((Of course ))

Sage was a little surprised by Brian's words, how had he liked her for so long, but never said anything? "You know you could have said something a long time ago, but I'm glad you're telling me, because I've liked you for a long time too and I was beyond happy when you asked me out tonight."

Jimmy smiled, gently brushing his thumb across her knuckled, "I've never been nervous on a date before, but you would be the one to make me that way." He chuckled, "I would hope you wouldn't change your mind, you at least have to give me a chance before you decide you don't want to see me again." He joked.

Brian smiled at Sage, as he kept her hand in his. "I should've spoken up. But I just... Have no idea why I didn't." He admitted to her. He took and looked at her and smiled as he kept his hand around hers smiling. "I'm glad you were excited and happy about me asking you out, and that you like me too." He lent across the table putting his lips to hers lightly.

Lucy let a soft giggle escape her lips as she held to his hand, "Trust me I won't change my mind." She smiled at Jimmy at his joke as she lent across the table to him kissing his lips lightly as she smiled pulling back and sitting down in her chair.

Sage smiled into the kiss before pulling away slowly, "Trust me Brian, if you had said something earlier, I would have gone out with you in a heartbeat, guaranteed." she told him honestly, smiling over at him, "I mean, come on, how could a girl say no to you?"

"I hope you have a fun time tonight, this was kind of a last minute date, but I wanted to make sure you enjoy every minute of it." Jimmy told her, he would have done anything to make her smile, even if it meant he had to leave her alone, but at the moment he knew that wasn't what she wanted.
