James narrowed his eyes at her and then shrugged, figuring he should let her in a little bit anyways. Fine - whatever you say. He said to her and then pulled off his shirt. You don't mind that I just sleep in boxers, do you?

Addie rolled her eyes and then shook her head. "Whatever you choose to believe." She said, rolling her eyes and then looked at him suspiciously. "Well then what are you waiting for - get me some."

The man then proceeded to take his shirt off, and by what he said, planned to take his pants off. "You're sleeping in the guest bedroom, so I won't be there to care." She reminded him, blowing on her toenails to dry them.

The man doubled back and got her a glass of tequila, then slid it towards her. "You know what they say about tequila. Drink up." He wanted to get her drunk, wanted to know what she really thought, but had too high of morals to let himself try.

James smirked a little and then shook his head. "Aw, the guest room?! Now now - you're my fiancé - I'm sure no one would complain if we shared the bed for the night." He winked at her.

Addie took the whole tequila down in one gulp. She had never had it before - and it tasted terrible - but she wouldn't let him see that. "Oh really - what do they say?" She said as a challenge as she slammed the glass down onto the table.

The girl paused, but only slightly, before continuing to dry her nails. "Do whatever you want." She hoped her nonchalance would convince him to stay in the guest bedroom. She had little interest in sharing her bed with him, especially with him looking utterly abused.

"Tequila tends to make your clothes fall off, or so I hear. Depends on how fast you drink it. More?" He sneered, already pouring her another glass. He decided to stop her at two and have one of his female coworkers get her home, fully dressed.

James could see her slight faltering and smirked a little. Good. He would do just that. "Hope you know I'm a bed hog - and I like to cuddle." He teased her with a smirk, pulling down his jeans and taking them off so he was just in his boxers.

Adelaide was already starting to feel slightly more giggling and she shook her head. "And I'm sure you know sooo much about drinking." She said sarcastically. She took the second drink and drank that one down quickly too, still hating the taste.

"We'll get you a bear." The girl blew aoftly on her nails and raised an eyebrow, lowering the bottle onto the side table. He was in nothing but boxers now, and she looked everywhere but at him.

"You don't become a bartender without knowing your stuff. I don't drink often. I watch and learn." He refilled her glass, eyes glittering mischeviously.

James smirked as she avoided looking at him completely. "Now now - I see you avoiding me. What's wrong, my dear?" He teased her.

Addie rolled her eyes at him. "I'm sure you do. She said, rolling her eyes and took the glass again, downing the alcohol without even tasting. It was absolutely disgusting.

"Your face isn't easy on the eyes, Monsieur. It burns." The redhead joked, leaning back against the couch cushion and blowing on her nails again.

He refilled it yet again. Nothing had happened to her yet, but it'd hit her like a brick wall, all at once, soon enough. He decided he'd stop her after four.

James rolled his eyes. "Now now - don't go thinking you're all that nice to look at either!" He said, raising an eyebrow at her.

Addie was starting to feel a little woozy as he poured another glass. She couldn't see him straight. "Stop... Stop moving - I can't focus on you. She complained in a slurred voice.

The girl inched down so that she was lying down and taking up the entire couch. There was still an armchair if he felt it necessary to sit. "I'm not in a pair of boxers and only boxers."

"Right. I'll try and stop doing that." He gripped the counter and watched her through amused eyes. She hadn't believed him, and she wouldn't remember a thing the next morning. Such a shame.

James shrugged a little and shook his head. "Now now - that doesn't make you any more attractive - just because you're wearing clothes... You might be more attractive if you take them off." He winked.

Addie wobbled a little, grabbing the drink and drinking it down again even though she wasn't feeling too well. "Have you stopped? You're still all fuzzy. Why are you such a jackass?"

The girl rolled her eyes. "I'm not falling for that one, James. My parents didn't raise a fool." Her nails were mostly dry, so she reached for her magazine again—a better excuse not to look at him.

"I'm not a jackass, you're just getting tipsy. Don't stand up." She'd probably do the exact opposite, and if she did, she'd end up regretting it.

James smirked a little and shook his head. "Come on - not going to entertain the company? What kind of host are you?" He asked her teasingly, pretending to disapprove.

Addie pouted a little and did just the opposite, annoyed with him. She stood and felt dizzy, grabbing the end of the bar. "You jackass - what did you do? This is your fault."[

"A decent one. What kind of guest are you?" She teased back. "Stripping in my living room isn't exactly the image of manners."

"Yep, all my fault. I made you stand up. Sit back down, Addie." Just as he'd expected, she still thought he was a jackass when she was drunk, just like when she was sober.

James raised an eyebrow at her. She was slightly bearable to be around and he enjoyed it. "It isn't?! Hmm, you went to the wrong place to learn about manners, dollface - I always know how to please my guests." He winked teasingly at her.

Addie frowned a little at him and shook her head. She tried to sit again but ended up missing the seat by just enough that she slammed right down to the floor. Fuck you, Jackson! Just because you're cute doesn't mean you have to be such a jerk!"

"It's the host's job to entertain." The redhead murmured, eyeing him warily over her magazine. "Any word from your father?"

Oh, God. The man came from behind the counter and pulled her up and into the back room, as she was making a bit of a scene. The upside, though, was that she'd admitted he was cute. "Claire's gonna take you home."

James chuckled a little and then frowned a little at the mention of his father. They didn't exactly see eye to eye. "I don't care about any word that man has for me. He said coldly.

Addie gasped a little and then shook her head. "No - I'm not going home just because you tell me to. I will not be belittled because I am a woman and you, some brutal, attractive guy, thinks you get control over me. You don't!

"I know, I just—negotiations, I was wondering if our parents had further discussed anything." She'd hoped they'd reconsidered the marriage somehow, but his reaction made chances seem slim.

"What? Addie, you're drunk off your ass. You're embarrassing yourself—embarrassing me. You're a hot mess and not in a good way." She needed to go home.

James raised an eyebrow. She thought she was getting out of this? There was no way. No way - you think that they'll really let this go? Their negotiations are final, aren't they?"

Addie sighed a little and shook her head. "Embarrassing you?! I have nothing to do with you'!" She yelled at him as she slurred and she shook her head angrily.

"There are much better ways to pay off a debt, James." She was sitting up now, indian-style and moderately uncomfortable despite looking casual. "It was a question. It's whatever."
