james rolled his eyes. "Are you always so damn stubborn?" He asked the girl in annoyance. "I don't think I could even put up with you if this goes through." Though he hoped it did.

Addie rolled her eyes a little hurt. At least he could pretend that he wanted her a little bit? She wasn't sure why - she was drunk. "Whatever - I don't need you either. I hate you and your cocky, I'm-all-that attitude."

"I am. And you will." The redhaired girl sighed, placing her hands neatly in her lap. The man in front of her, as much as he tried to be, wasn't that ruthless and brutal. She wasn't afraid.

"I'm really not that cocky. And hey—you're drunk as hell ad probably don't care, but I didn't mean it like that. I just meant that there are girls who actually want me, and since you're not one of them, I don't have much of a reason to want to try anything. Just for clarification, Ad."

james rolled his eyes and shook his head. Really - what is it about me that you don't like? It's not like I'm a bad guy, really." He said angrily, shaking his head.

Addie frowned a little and shook her head. "Quit calling me that...Ad... You don't know me enough to call me that. And you never will. You're just a goodfornothing guy that wants to fool around with a whole bunch of girls. I'm not interested."

"You don't have your stuff together. For having such a powerful family, you don't act like it. And it bothers me. Other than that, not much." He wasn't completely unlikable.

"Okay." The man said simply, figuring there was no point in arguing with a drunk girl who hardly even had a say in the engagement when sober.

James rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Do you realize what part of society I'm in? I'm doing what i can - and I'm sorry that thats so hard for your pride." He rolled his eyes.

Adelaide rolled her eyes. "Ugh, even the way you agree is annoying." She slurred at him, stumbling into him and frowning. "I should kill you for getting me drunk."

"Whatever. I don't not like you. I'm just not fawning over you, and I think that's what bothers you." She had to wonder what the girls in the North thought of him. Maybe he was used to female attention, and her tendency not to give it made him angry.

"You got yourself drunk." The man corrected. "You can lead a girl to alcohol, but you can't make her drink." Or something like that. She wouldn't understand either way. He felt little remorse for getting her drunk; it was slightly entertaining.

james rolled his eyes as he shook his head unhappily. [b"Whatever! It's not like i need you - I could have any damn girl I wanted around here. Yet here he was,wanting only Her.

Addie rolled her eyes. "No - you let me get drunk - and that holds you accountable too!" She pouted and then groaned. That is not a correct statement - get it right!

"Then go on and get one." The girl shrugged nonchalantly, trying to gauge his reaction. Really, she couldn't do much to stop him if he wanted to find himself someone else. But her pride wanted her to forbid him not to.

She was like a pouty little kid when under the influence. "I'm only accountable for anything bad you might do, if I allow you to do it." Now he was just talking to keep her from an outburst; she didn't understand him and wouldn't remember anything he'd said.

James rolled his eyes at her words but was caught a little off guard. No... He didn't want that. He only wanted her... Forever. Brutal as he may be - he had a soft side. "Shut up - you don't mean that."

Addie pouted and shook her head. "You can't stop me from doing anything - I'm a strong independent woman - and you will not take that away from me!" She explained to him.

"Do what you want." She took another sip of her drink and raised her eyebrows, gaze eventually flickering around the room once more. Now she knew he wasn't serious.

"Let's get you home." The man said impatiently, walking ahead of her to piss her off and get her to move faster. If he had to listen to her rant about her independence any longer, he wasn't sure what he'd do.

James frowned and shook his head, pulling his shirt on and sighing. Maybe I should go... He said, frowning lightly.

Addie pouted lightly and shook her head. Dont tell me what to do! She complained and shook her head, stumbling lightly into him. Why are you in front of me?!

"You want to?" She'd been convinced he intended to take advantage of her offer. Now, she guessed, he was having second thoughts.

The man reached her door and started fumbling in his pocket for the spare key he kept, drawing it out after a few moments and unlocking the door. "You're too slow."

james rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Quit asking what I want. You don't care and neither will I! He yelled. His angry side was showing.

Addie pouted and stumbled up to her front door. She hadn't seen him get a key and was curious. She honestly didnt know he had a spare key. "Whoa - did I leave my place unlocked?!"

The girl flinched as if he'd struck her and her hands itched to throw the drink at him for screaming at her. "Don't raise your voice with me."

"Yeah. You need to be more careful." He slid the key safely into his pocket and pulled her inside, shutting the door behind them. "Alright. You're home. Go to bed, because I'm leaving."

james sighed and looked down at the ground, feeling ashamed. "I'm sorry..." He said, glancing up at her. Who was he kidding - he wasnt right for her.

Addie pouted a little and shook her head. "I never leave it unlocked!" She scolded herself and then sighed. "Can you... Help me get to my room?" She asked.

The redhead nodded. "Okay. Whatever, it's fine." He was impulsive, to say the least, but she didn't mind him.

The man let out an exaggerated sigh and took her by the arm, guiding her up the stairs and into her room. "Anything else, princess?"

James sighed and sat back down. "fine - you're so infuriating!" He complained.

Addie pouted and shook her head. "Shut up! I hate you!" She yelled, falling into bed.

"I told you it was fine." The sixteen year old reported, taking another swig of her drink and decidedly offering him some.

"Right. Well, sleep well." He closed the door behind him and descended the stairs much faster than he'd come up them, and made his way to the door.

james sighed and shook his head. He took ghe bottle and took a drink, not knowing what to say to her to make her understand at all.

Addie mumbled something incoherent and fell asleep instantly. She was so tired and being drunk wasn't going to help at all. She needed to sleep it off.

"Are you staying here tonight or not?" She watched him drink from the bottle and sank deeper into the couch cushions, suddenly realizing how tired se was.

The man returned home without much incident, much faster now that he didn't have a drunk Addie slowing him down.
