james sighed and shook his head. "Yes, unless you're going to make me leave." He said with a frown.

Addie woke the next morning with a killer headache and sat up. Hell - her head hurt. What had she done last night? She couldn't even remember - that wasn't like her.

"I won't." It was getting dark outside, and the alcohol was making her sleepy. "I have a guest bedroom, or you can take the couch. I might be calling it an early night."

Jackson dragged himself out of bed and to the bar the next morning to clean up and get things ready for the next night, his every breath punctuated by a yawn.

James sighed and shook his head. "What - I can't sleep with you?" He asked teasingly but he wasn't as cocky about it as he normally was - which he was sure she was grateful for.

Addie sighed as she got up out of bed. All she could think about was that Jackson was there for some reason and she didn't know why. Well she was going to find out.

"If you must," The redhead joked weakly, rising to her feet and crossing the room to head for the stairs. The man was calmer now, something she rather liked.

A few hours later, everything was clean and ready for another night, but he still had a few more hours before opening. So, he lounged on an old couch in the back room with every intention of taking a nap.

James smiled and nodded. He followed her upstairs and then smiled, taking off his shirt again and chuckling. "Of course I must!" He teased her lightly.

Addie found where jackson worked and headed there. She needed to know what had happened. She felt like he had probably taken advantage of her - and she hated him.

She hadn't expected him to go through with it, but was too tired to argue with him abour it all over again. The door was locked, so all she had left to do was to fall into bed and sleep.

The girl, he was told, was waiting on the other side of the locked door, so he sauntered out of the back and to the door to open it and peer out at her. "The bar is closed for another three hours."

James smiled that he didn't fight her and he fell into the bed with her, wrapping his arms around her. Brutal - he didn't care. He wasn't letting her go right now.

Addie scowled at him as he looked at her. "What the hell did you do to me last night, Jackson?" She asked with poison in her tone. She wasn't happy with him right now - at all.

The girl laid awake for a few minutes in his arms, aggravation and discomfort radiating from her, and then eventually dozed off.

"Last night? You got drunk, tried to sleep in the back room, yelled at me for everything, and I walked you home. You were a pain in the ass. Don't ever get drunk again."

James smiled. She was uncomfortable but he was so comfortable. Someday she would be comfortable with this too and he was looking forward to that. Brutal as he was - he wanted her.

Addie looked up at him in disgust and shook her head. "And whose fault is that - I know I didn't choose to get drunk, now, did I?! You know - I hate you so much!" She yelled.

She awoke the next morning and untangled herself from him, noting with irritation that he hadn't backed off once she'd dozed off and he'd proven his point.

"You chose to get drunk, and I know you hate me, because you didn't let me forget for a minute last night."

James felt cold when she was gone and groaned in his sleep but simply rolled over and went back to sleep himself. He was tired. He had liked watching her sleep though.

Addie rolled her eyes. "Why would you want to forget that anyway? It's not like you would care!" She said with anger and crossed her arms. He was a terrible person.

She pulled on a different shirt and headed downstairs, not bothering to turn and wake him for breakfast. He'd get up when he smelled it.

"Addie, can you just write me a letter on how much you hate me and set it on fire? I know. I'm tired of hearing it. I get it, but you'd do well not to talk to your future husband like that."

She was right - he did wake up to the smell of food and he smiled, remembering where he was. Sure - he was going to get to her somehow - and he couldn't wait for it.

Addie looked at him in disgust and rolled her eyes. "There is no way that you will ever be my husband. I will not allow it!" She yelled at him and seemed annoyed with him.

The redhead took another sip of coffee, biscuit crumbs dotting the napkin she used to wipe her lips clean.

"Tell that to our fathers." He shut the door and locked it, sauntering back toward his couch in the storage room.

James got out of bed and smiled as he saw her. Hey cutie." He teases her lifhtly. "Sleep well my love?"

Addie gasped as he shut the door on her. She banged on the door angrily. "What the hell don't slam the door in my face!" She screamed.

"Yeah, you?" She ignored his taunting comments for his sake and pushed the leftover biscuits his way, light eyes neutral.

"Angry mob?" One of the men asked as he strode past. "Party of one. But yes." His betrothed was never happy.

james smirked. "Can you quit denying it? You know you liked being in bed with me."He chuckled.

Addie continued to slam on the door until she finally gave up and she shook her head. "I hate you jackson!"

"I did not." The girl rolled her eyes and drank another cup of coffee.

"Says she hates you." He let out a long sigh. "Yeah. I know. She won't stop saying that." It was actually getting to be obnoxious.

James chuckled and shook his head. "Yeah yeah - say what you want!" He was all smug about it - because she had let him stay.

Addie shook her head and crossed her arms. She hated him and she wanted him to know it - but she knew she had to go away. She didn't like being in this area.

"Are you done being an aggravation? I won't let you stay again if you aren't." She had to wonder what his house was like.

"Let me know when she leaves, will you?" He collapsed on the couch and closed his eyes, deciding she'd eventually get bored and leave.
